Eventually I was able to locate another farrier who put her in "natural balance" shoes and she improved from that point. Though she is now sound to ride on grass, there does seem to be some permanent damage--separation at the toe on one foot.

The staff is generally nice but this place has high overhead and way to many different vets feeding on customers and relying on a high cash flow so it's all about the money, they want a lot of new customers with easy problems so the packed schedule never get's interrupted and messes up the cash flow.

George was in a lot of pain so I took him to StatVet on 15th Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were compassionate, professional, skilled and thorough. From that first visit until February 21, 2026, I probably took George Duncan to that StatVet at least 30 times. Pancreatitis in cats is a chronic and difficult disease and although we all tried to beat it, I finally had to give George Duncan some peace. I returned to StatVet where we all shared tears, hugs and goodbyes but there was no place better for George Duncan's journey to end. They are all amazing and wonderful and I can't thank them enough. When you need them, they will be there - for the good news and the bad news and everything in between
