The service at this location is usually slow. We usually wait for a very long time for food to come out. But the servers a genuinely nice and the food is fine, so we come back periodically. But last night I waited 20 minutes, sitting at my table, and no sever came to greet me or take a drink order. Nothing. Another table was seated, greeted and had their drinks delivered to them with no issues. That lack of service caused me to leave. I will not be returning to this location. Perkins, please hire more staff. Your servers are overworked and your kitchen staff is slow, so I assume they need more support. I know unemployment rates are low and competition for workers is high, but if you want people to eat at your location, there is a level of service expected and you get there by having the right number of staff to serve them. read more

I ordered the Classic Cheeseburger and my husband got the Build-it-yourself Omelette (with sausage and cheddar cheese) with a short stack (pancakes). Comments on the burger: a small portion of the bottom bun was completely soggy from the burger's juices while the rest of the brioche bun was perfect. The light grilling of the inside of the bun added a nice texture. They should set the lettuce on the plate for you to add in yourself to preserve its crispness. Mine was wilted from being under the bun for however long. The fries that came with it were great: just enough crispiness and good potato flavor. My husband had no callouts about his order which meant it was all as expected. No problems. Waitress was friendly but tended to chat longer than necessary at her tables. Love Perkins but lately they don't have enough help. We took our out of town guests on Sunday night at 5:30 pm for supper. There were 11 of us and guy came out of kitchen and said over 20 minutes wait as he only had 2 wait staff. More people were coming in so we called Frying Pan and said they had lots of help so we went to Frying Pan. Like both Perkins and Frying Pan but if Perkins doesn't get act together will lose a lot of business. read more

We did a to go order. We ordered two pies. The Wild Berry Pie, and the Peanut Butter Silk Pie. They were amazing! We dine out and eat out in a regular basis and this is by far one of the best pies I've had in a while. The Wild Berry was my favorite. Looking forward to the Lemon Meringue Pie, Cherry and Apple Pie. They are only $15 too. Well worth it read more

Went to Perkins for the first time this morning. Our waitress was Kristina K. She was great. I had told her it was my first time and she pointed out a few of the popular dishes. I ended up with the egg in the hole. I had asked the bacon and hash browns be crispy. Also a side of hollandaise sauce. I did hear her ask the cook to crispy the bacon and hash browns. Now the food, eggs in the toast were good. I added the hollandaise on top, quite tasty. However I had to ask for more sauce. The hash browns were not crispy at all and the bacon was ok. Kristina actually offered to take the hash browns back but truthfully I was getting full on the eggs and bacon I told her that was fine. My husbands food was ok. He wasn't impressed. Where do I begin Came in and there were 4-5 groups with 4 people max. Took a few minutes to get seated as there were only 2 people working in the front. This was by far me of the worst meals I've ever had period. Usually Perkins is good, but we went to the one off of Arrowhead and it god awful. First of all they messed up our meal. The food they gave us was like if they messed up on another order and sent it out, because it was not fresh. The chicken on the biscuit meal was cold and stale. The sausage that was sent out was soggy and cold. I was so upset I didn't even want to send it because. When my meal came out I asked for cheddar cheese on my hashbrowns they gave me American cheese and it was not melted. I would never ever recommend the east side Perkins. read more

The food was fine, but the server we got was horrendous! To start off with you could tell it was going to be one of those interesting experiences when she initially greeted us. Shortly after she spilled an entire pitcher of water on our table. This wasn't that big of a deal to all of us, but the constant communication style she had with our table just ruined the remainder of the service. The worst part was when she apologized and said that she was having a bad night due to working 40 hours in the last three days and she called herself a "retard," which we react too, so she corrected herself by saying she is special. This was the worst service I have ever had at Perkins. When we arrived we got seated right away and then it took 15 mins for us to get waited on. Then when our food arrived it was cold, my friend ordered a side of asparagus and only got 5 strands of asparagus. When we were done eating we waited to get our ticket and they weren't even that busy and no one brought us our ticket, due to the bad service we had to go to the counter to get our ticket!!! The place was almost completely empty, there were maybe two other tables there when we got there. This should have been our clue to get out now. It took about 5-10 minutes for somebody to realize we were actually there. "I will be with you in just a second" over and over by different people. So about 15 minutes after we get there we are finally seated. Lady took us to a booth and took our drink orders. 10 minutes later another girl comes and asks for our drink orders because they were never brought out the first time. We gave her our food order at this time as well. We wait and wait and wait. Finally everything is brought out at about 8:45. Almost an hour after we walked in the door. Sounds like these people are way too busy with take out food orders that they are forgetting about the customers sitting in the building. Truly horrible service. I assume it's the manager with the long blonde hair ordering people around and scolding the employees in front of the customers. She needs to do more to help her wait staff and do less ordering people around. We were watching other people having the same experience. One man that walked in ended up actually going into the back to find someone to seat them. Evidently the employees are just ignoring the bell on the door. This place won't be open long.. read more

Food was excellent, pie was amazing, server was sweet, but don't think we will be back. Middle of winter with below 0 temps and they had the air conditioner blowing ice cold air. 8 different tables were complaining and everyone was sitting with their winter jackets bundled up. The waitress said there was nothing they could do and the manager said they were having heating/air problems. Hard to enjoy anything when your feet and hands are so cold. I stopped today to try the new place. I order the breakfast special listed on the board. The waitress was friendly and good service. But the kitchen was slow. The meal came out and the chicken fried steak was over cooked (hard), The eggs had cheese on part of it (ordered scrambled) the potatoes were over done and the pancakes had crispy black chunks in them. When I left the hostess asked how it was and I told her not very good. She said oh that's too bad and took 10 % off and then I realized that it wasn't even a special.
