My husband researched local fencing companies and had three come out to give a quote. Out of everyone, Rick Kelley was the only one who gave his on the spot after spending a bit of time surveying the property. While his quote was a little higher than the others, it was in the same ballpark. Service was practically immediate with a few of Kelley's employees coming out to get started. They were able to get the posts and everything up in a few hours. After a few days they came back to finish everything. Rick and his team (especially Rick) went above and beyond by removing an old tree in our backyard (no charge), and leveling out the ground around our fence. They even came back more than once to make sure any tractor marks from the front of the property to the back were even. Rick is very hands on, personable and loves doing good work. It's always great to see business owners get their hands dirty from time to time and he definitely did :) We're extremely pleased with the end result and level of service we received. I personally enjoyed Rick and seeing him work alongside his employees as many contractors will take a project and disappear until something is wrong. - Extremely Poor Workmanship and Unprofessional Experience…read more I hired Verdant Plains Lawn Care and Landscaping LLC to install a fence, and the installation was unacceptable from start to finish. The fence as built had major structural flaws, including a 5 1/2-inch gap along the entire run, which completely defeats the purpose of keeping my dog inside. The fence did not conform to the slope of my yard, the running board was exposed, and nails were sticking through to the neighbor's side by about a quarter inch--an obvious safety hazard. None of this is standard practice, and the fence would not pass inspection in its current condition. When I brought these problems to the contractor's attention, he offered no clear solution, refused to acknowledge the mistakes, and was rigid in every conversation we had. He will likely claim that I "would not let him fix it," but his proposed solution was to make the top of the fence uneven, which is unacceptable and not what I paid for. I paid for both the top and bottom to be properly aligned, not for a workaround that creates new structural issues. These problems are not minor--they require full disassembly and proper reinstallation to correct. I will now have to hire another company to tear the fence down and rebuild it, resulting in additional cost and inconvenience to me. I attempted in good faith to offer him a second chance, with clear conditions outlining what needed to be repaired and that he would assume all material costs. He refused to take responsibility and could not provide a legitimate plan to address the workmanship issues. Because of this, I have filed a complaint with Angi regarding the poor quality of work and lack of accountability, and I will also be filing a complaint with the District Attorney's office regarding the situation. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company for fence installation or any project requiring skill, structural accuracy, or professional standards.

I have to say, I am very much impressed with Midland Vinyl Products (MVP)! So, much so I decided to…read morewrite this review immediately while everything is fresh in my mind.  So, approximately 4 weeks ago, I sought to have the mostly withered away wooden fence with gates on my property replaced with vinyl.  I sought quotes and presentations from 4 different vendors before coming across MVP.  I was fascinated by their design, color selection and pricing.  Gwynn was a delight to deal with.  She assisted me through the selection process (of which I was very indecisive), placed my order and kept me informed as I waited for its arrival.    Approximately, 3 weeks later, Gwynn contacted me to schedule an observation and installation of my new vinyl fence with gates.  The next day, Tony came out, surveyed the areas of where the fence with gates were to be installed.  He walked me through my options of gate placement, the direction in which they opened and the underground sprinkler lines to be cognizant of in areas where fence posts and gate posts were to be installed.  Tony even informed me of the gap that would be visible between the retaining wall and a post that was to be installed beside it, due to the shape of the structure not lining up with the post.  He offered the perfect filler solution (more on that later).  I must admit, I was a bit skeptical at first.  When Tony and I talked measurements, the numbers didn't add up.  I contacted Gwynn about the matter.  She told me not to worry and assured me that "Tony is excellent at what he does." So, I rolled with it.    The next day, Tony and his crew returned and got to work.  Sure enough, he is indeed excellent at what he does.  I would argue he's the best at what he does!  After Tony and his crew completed the installation, he walked me through the beauty of my new vinyl fence and the operation of its gates, before handing me the keys to the gate locks.  I love it!  Tony was on point.  Believe me, I checked his work thoroughly.  I made sure no underground sprinkler lines were broken, check!  I made sure the gap that Tony previously informed me would be between the retaining wall and fence post was properly filled in, check!  He cut out a section of a vinyl fence slat and filled in the space between the retaining wall and fence post.  How'd it look, you ask; OUTSTANDING!  There was only one flaw I could find.  One of the gate posts installed was bolted to the exterior wall of my house.  The bolts are located on the upper and lower interior wall of the post.  There are openings on the upper and lower exterior wall of the post in which to access the inside bolts.  A cover, identical in color and design to the post, was attached to each opening with a "white" in color adhesive.  It stands out.  If I could offer one suggestion, it would be to use an adhesive similar in color to the post,  but small potatoes.  Overall, I was very much impressed and would highly recommend MVP for your vinyl fencing pleasure.  Thank you!
