This 5 star review is for Perillo BMW service, only. Vanessa in the sales department is top notch, but other than her, the sales department is less than average. I heard from the dealer that we have bought our last 4 BMWs from (and 4 from other dealers, but we serviced all of them with Perillo in the last 10 years) that Perillo service has terrible Yelp reviews. I couldn't believe it! AJ is the BEST! There is no better! And Darrin, the Service Director - COME ON! He's the best, too! And Brad is awesome! These guys go out of their way to take care of customers! I cannot believe some of these reviews. These people must be exceptionally unreasonable, because there is no better service department in Chicago, period. Another thing I can't believe are the responses from this Trish Perillo. Hilarious! If it were my dealership, I wouldn't let her anywhere near the customer service department. ;) read more

In full disclosure, my review only relates to a small service issue. We purchased our 5 series from Perillo in November and today was the first time we needed anything repaired. My husband called because our tire was continuously losing air. BMW let us know that our tires were not covered by warranty - which was a nice reminder. I went in today for the repair and requested a loaner vehicle, which my husband assured me he had checked on when he called. Apparently there was some miscommunication between my husband and BMW because there were no loaners available. Rather than just tell me to come back another day, the gentleman in service who checked me told me to wait and they would check the tire immediately. If there was a nail or something they would patch it no problem. Well I was at BMW for less than thirty minutes when a service technician informed me that we had a nail in the tire which had been removed and everything had been fixed. I was shocked and very pleased. High praise to the service department for helping me out!!! read more

We moved to Chicago in the summer of 2016 and shortly after, leased our X5 from Perillo. We lived in the city for the first year and didn't have any problems. In the summer of 2017, we moved to the suburbs and had our first real experience driving our X5 in the Chicago winter as we didn't really take the car out much while in the city. The car was/is awful and incredibly dangerous in the snow; I found myself skidding across lanes and incapable of maintaining traction whenever there was snow on the ground. With 2 babies in the car this made me incredibly nervous and uncomfortable so I brought the car to our local BMW dealership. Straight away they acknowledged our X5 had summer tires which was why the car couldn't cope driving in the snow. I inquired as to how I should go about getting winter or all-weather tires. The options presented to me ranged from $2k - $3k all in. I was FURIOUS. We're paying an awful lot of money for a car that can't be driven 3 -4 months out of the year. We were never told our tires were summer tires and I can't for the life of me understand why any car dealership in Chicago would sell/lease a car with summer tires. The local dealership was sympathetic but told me I had to work with our leasing dealership. I reached out to our salesman, Mahmoud Parsa, who responded straight away only to say they couldn't give us winter tires but instead could offer a discount. Of course this wasn't good enough as we believe the appropriate tires should have been put on the car in the first place. I then reached out to the sales manager, Mark Schneider, who responded once with the same offer of a discount. After responding to Mark's email (TWICE) inquiring as to what kind of discount he'd be offering I never heard back. Seems to us they unloaded this car with inadequate tires onto us knowing we weren't tire-savvy enough to realize what they call 20' tires aren't good in the snow. We're floored that this is even legal and are completely angered by the lack of interest to remedy the situation. We're paying way too much for this type of service and will not be looking to purchase or lease another BMW in the future. read more

Been coming here for 3 years now. Just leased my second car with them. I found someone I vibed with and have had a completely smooth experience since day 1. From leasing to servicing, I've had no issues. I've always received my car back promptly and if they knew it was going to take longer than expected, they offered a service car, on the house. Shouts to Ken! read more

Many Thanks to Shane Miles and the Sales team at Perillo BMW for helping me navigate through a complicated out-of-state deal. I couldn't be happier with my extremely rare configuration 2013 Elite CPO'd 335i! Shane took the time to send me pictures of the car, and confirmed that it's condition was as advertised. I purchased the car sight unseen- and it was exactly as pictured and as described. On delivery day, Shane took the time to pick me up at the airport, and I was on my way in my 335i in a matter of hours. read more

I REGRET ever having heard the name Perillo and walking into this dysfunctional dealership. It seems they have the market all to themselves for BMW buyers in the city of Chicago unless you feel like going to the burbs to have your BMW serviced or purchase a new BMW. Rather than go into the finer details and waste more of my time even thinking about the name Perillo BMW, i thought it best at least to warn anyone else needing service on their current BMW or are planning to purchase a new BMW - go the the Burbs, I wish I had!! On every level in the process of the purchase of a new car from these people time and time again exhibited not a shred of integrity and are arrogant about it, could care less about you, the customer and find the opening page on Perillo BMW's web site on the principals of this dealership to be in complete contrast to what actually occurs. You have no idea. Run if you are in a deal or thinking about one from this dealership and find the next closest BMW dealership you can. You will be happy you did instead of sorry you didn't. Trust me. Here is the reply from Perillo which supports my entire point and case sent on Aug 18th 2015 Kelly, I must say that there are many details to this transactions to be taken into account. It seems that both you and our sales team worked diligently together to make this deal work to your benefit and satisfaction. Unfortunately, somewhere in between the loaner provided being impounded - which we paid to have released, Saleem working to get you approved to your out-of-state real-estate transaction, all seem to be overwhelming, and making it near impossible to satisfy you under this level of stress. This transaction by far is the most complicated that I have heard here at Perillo, not to mention, extreme pressure. We work with all our customers to provide a satisfactory level above the norm. It is our number one priority! That being said, I would like to speak with you to see how we can work together so that you have a better appreciation of our help. The social media outlets you are subscribed to are not necessary to help find an appropriate resolution. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you in advance! Respectfully, THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO RESOLVE THIS EXCEPT TO PIN IT BACK ON ME. read more

My review is primarily in regard to Perillo's sales rep, Shane Miles. My fiancé and I came in to check out their used 328i's and were helped by Shane. From the very beginning he was no pressure, extremely professional and went out of his way to make sure we understood all of our options. No matter how repetitive our questions or concerns were, he always answered and addressed them completely. I can't stress enough how important the no pressure part was. When he sensed one test drive perhaps wasn't enough for us to make a decision either way, he urged us to take a second, and even a third during our final visit before purchasing. At no point did he take us in any direction we didn't want to go or fit us into something we didn't want or like, unlike other dealership's on that block. Shane really made us feel like he had our best interest in mind the entire time. He even worked with us to get everything aligned based off our schedules. He constantly tried to make the entire process as easy and painless as possible on our end. Overall, he is extremely personable and it was a great pleasure to do business with him. We will definitely be going back and looking for Shane for our next purchase. read more

I have been thinking about a new BMW since mine was 6-7 years old. I walked in to "Perillo BMW" this past january to look around. I had such a great experience that I decided to purchase my new car the same day. I hope you find my comment helpful. The salesperson who assisted me was Don Mariano: he did not just wanted to sell me "a car", but he was so helpfull and honest in His advices that made the entire process easy and great. Alex Lebdeh was another great person I got to know. Sanjay is a wiz that knows everything you ever need to know about any electrical detail of your car. There is another Don who works in that center, he is a great mechanic. Sebastian did take care of finances so nicely that was fast and painless :) read more

I purchase my vehicle at Perillio's BMW where Sebastian took great care of me. My recommendation is to use him for your next purchase. By far the best customer service I've ever received! I came in for an appointment with Cesar Marin at Perillo BMW not knowing what I wanted. Cesar not only was very knowledgble, but also very patient. He brought out several different vehicles since I was so undecisive and made sure I was fully aware of every detail before I purchased my new X5! Once it was time to negotiate he was able to get a better price than expected and a 0% interest rate which made me more than happy! Highly recommended , I will be sure to refer Cesar Marin and his team to my friends and family! THANK YOU CESAR!!! read more

Perillo BMW Service Department regained some trust back by handling this situation very well. They properly diagnosed and repaired the parking sensor wiring harness under warranty. Fields BMW refused to even dig into the problem due to noticing some paint overspray on one of the sensors. Any bumper repair was done before the car was purchased. Turns out, the paint overspray wasn't even the issue. It took a few days to get the correct part, but a big shoutout to the Perillo service team for great customer service and properly acknowledging the car was still under full factory warranty. read more

This is a review of their service center. Have had nothing but great experiences with Angelo as my service advisor. Always quick to return calls and explains everything very well. Have had some bad luck with this BMW over the past year and he's been my go-to guy for getting it figured out. I get my Maserati and other cars serviced at their W. Chicago Ave location, but this place has got things together more than that shop (even though that place is 5 stars, too). Perillo service does it right regardless of the location. AJ at this location and Cesar at the other. Next BMW I get will be from these guys. Keep up the good work AJ. read more

Worst experience with this dealership. Spoke with Vanessa in sales who was very rude regarding a car my husband and I were interested in. She cut me off repeatedly and didn't even listen to the kind of car I was looking for. My experience with Perillo BMW service was extremely positive. My wife and I found ourselves in a real bind when our BMW 328xi decided to crap out at midnight several miles from our house when the weather outside was very cold. After BMW Roadside Assistance towed the car to Perillo, I had the pleasure of working with Jon Ralis of Perillo's service department. Jon really went to bat for us by securing us a loaner vehicle on the spot (a big deal, when most of the time you need a reservation to get a loaner) and starting to work on our car right away. He kept in regular contact with us so we knew where our repair and loaner status stood. In short, Jon was honestly one of the most pleasant and responsive service advisors with whom I have ever had the pleasure to work. He is a credit to Perillo and a reason that everyone who had an unfortunate experience at Perillo in the past should give it another try. read more

First of all, if I could give 10 stars, I would. The service I received was incomparable to any service I have every had. Not to mention, Ken in service came to the rescue (not to sound cheesy, but it was a dire emergency... I took my car to Perillo Saturday afternoon at 3 after having scraped my black alloy wheels pretty badly on a curb. I needed then fixed ASAP, as it is technically my boyfriend's car (which we share, but he pays for), because I was picking him up at the airport Monday night. Ken gave me a SUPER deal on the work, which was originally $225/wheel (I needed two fixed), AND told me he would have it to me Monday after work even though this is typically a 4 day job. I know they haven't been given great reviews in the past, but I know this is something they are aware of and they are REALLY trying to turn around their customer service. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare. I took my vehicle here numerous times, paid their exorbitant rates and they literally helped with nothing. One time they failed to properly fix a check engine light and when I called them about it being on 12 miles later (the length of my commute), they sought to charge me again despite the fact that they failed to properly diagnose it. The last time I took a vehicle there, they told me they would return my rental, failed to do so for 3 days and Hertz sent me a bill stating the car had another 1700 miles put on the vehicle! 1700 miles - that's not a typo. When I spoke with their service manager, he made no attempt whatsoever to determine whether it was a clerical error or whether their employees took my rental Dodge Charger joyriding. Go to Fields - they're a delight and their management doesn't act in a way that enables their terrible service. read more

Perilla BMW took amazing care of me. My car had a drivetrain alert as I was driving towards Chicago. My home dealership wasn't able to help. Don't buy a used car here. They sold me a loaner car with a plug in the tire, did not disclose it leaving me now to buy new tires as it is bad. I called the dealer and left message for general manager two months ago and he has yet to return call. Salesperson did nothing either. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I've had my CPO 330i GT for 2 years and it's been nothing but a terrible experience since day one. I had the vehicle for one week and had to bring it back because my car was shaking(literally shaking) so hard when driving I had to pull over on LSD multiple times. After many times bringing it in they finally figure out they installed mismatched tires on the vehicle. Since then I've been in for service minimum every 2 months. Every time I bring it in my car is there for at least 3 days. One time an entire month. If I didn't buy the extended maintenance package I would have already spent over 15k on Maintenence. Since being out of warranty I've already spent 3k. The car is a 2017. 56,000 miles. This is my third BMW but my first with Perillo. I am writing this as I had to bring my car in AGAIN for an oil change and fix a headlight they were supposed to fix last visit in June. They come back now with a 5k repair. LOL. Do yourself a favor and put your $$ elsewhere. It's a joke. read more

Perillo has been the best BMW lease experience! I can not tell you how professional, quick, and easy it was to lease my new 328i. Chris Shanahan did all of the numbers through email and over the phone, saving me so much time. Everything she emailed me was true to their special advertised deal and I could not be happier. Chris is fabulous, concise, and returned me email questions within minutes. She was just so kind! After agreeing on the numbers via email, I came in a day later and after 1 hour I had my new car. She made everything quick and easy. WOW! At the dealership, Alan Sahagian took care of me and got me into my new car. He explained everything in such detail and even though I already had a BMW I found so many exciting new features. He was professional, kind, and not your typical salesman. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with as was Chris. Thank you Perillo! You are wonderful! read more

SERVICE IS A HUGE RACKET! We purchased our car at Perrillo with no problem. It is a 2006 with just 30,000 miles on it and we are just out of warranty. We took it in for the 30,000 mile check up with absolutely no indication of any problems. 3 hours after we dropped it off we can a fancy report with $2300 for repairs. They wanted to replace the battery for $400. Why? Not because there are any issues but because it is 4 years old. We had a nail in the tire that they claimed could not be removed so we need a new tire. The struts were alledgedly cracked and need replacing. The fuel system needed to be "flushed" We paid the $200 for this bogus report and took it to a local auto shop, Vaia Motors where we have had prior great experiences. For a total of $80 they took out the nail in the tire and patched it and told us the rest of the report was a bunch of bullshit! I know now that Perrillo is a total rip off, not to be trusted. By the way, other BMW owners have told me anytime you take in a vehicle out of warranty for service it is always a 4 figure estimate. read more

I've had to bring the car back 2x (4 days total time) since my original review and they still can't fix this annoying rattle. Luckily, both visits were covered by warranty. Unluckily, my warranty just expired and the tape job they did to try to address the rattles proved to be temporary. Now, I've got this beautiful car with low miles that would otherwise be perfect except for these problems caused by J. Cosmetic. The rattle drive me crazy but I can deal... the part that really irritates me is the thought that the airbag or other safety equipment might not operate properly due to poor work. Part of me feels like it's unfair to ding Perillo BMW for the problems caused by "J. Cos" but, at the same time, that's who they chose to affiliate with and Perillo will push you to tack on a cosmetic package with them at the time of sale. Perillo's own service techs will tell you what they think of J. Cosmetic once you describe your problem. read more

I leased a BMW from Perillo and I will lease or buy only from Perillo in the future. I only refer my friends here. Here's why: in an age of customer service deprivation and where business treat their customers like numbers, Perillo gives the Ritz Carlton of service. True, the cars are awesome, but when I go there everyone is more than friendly, with smiles on their faces at 6am! They call and update, and ALWAYS answer their phones. I leased a brand new white 328 convertible from Perillo last August. They found the EXACT car I wanted and at a much better price than I was quoted at other dealerships. So, the sales and service folks have been stellar. But I have to give a special nod to the collision center. Ken C. took care of everything: talking to the insurance company and the rental car company, and made sure I was kept up to date constantly. When my car was ready, it was cleaned and washed and looked brand new. I dealt with AAA during this whole incident (a lady hit my car while it was parked and wouldn't take responsibility!). They were horrible, but Ken and BMW made sure the car was fixed and AAA paid without me having to do a thing. By far Perillo BMW is the best customer experience I've had in a long time! read more

Let's be honest, everyone has horror stories about different car dealerships. In all my years, I've never heard of a dealership that at least some people weren't happy with. You can't please all of the people all of the time. That being said, I have been a customer at Perillo BMW for a number of years. I am a BMW fanatic and will continue to be a customer of theirs. About 4 years ago I bought a used X3 for my wife there. I was happy with the customer service provided to me by Sean (salesman) and returned last year to buy an M3 for myself. I made sure to work with Sean on that deal as well. Since they were both used cars, I figured the dealership would have a bit more wiggle room on the price than new cars. The GM of the dealership was definitely willing to work with me on the price. I think his name is Saleem? (I probably spelled that wrong) There is a very low supply of used M3 sedans, so I did end up paying a bit more than I had wanted, but they had what I wanted, and it was worth it to me. Sidenote- absolutely love the car. couldn't be happier As far as service goes, I have all maintenance work done at Perillo too. At first, it was a coincidence that Brad would always be my Service Advisor, but now I request him whenever I go. He always takes great care of me. While the warranties were still current, service was definitely cheaper, i.e.- FREE! It was great, bring the car in, they fix everything, and I don't pay a dime. Now though, the warranty has expired on both cars, so I need to pay out of pocket :( Luckily we haven't had too many issues, just a leaky gasket here, and the usual oil change there. Is it more expensive than an independent shop? Yes. Is it worth it? I think so. I'm one of those people that would rather pay extra to know that all work is done by BMW certified mechanics, with OEM parts. Peace of mind...check! I'm not saying that everything is perfect at this dealership, but I am very satisfied with the service I was provided. My guess is that there are plenty of very happy Perillo customers, most of them are too old to know what Yelp is though. read more

The service is atrocious. You can never get anybody on the line; they've missed a crooked axle TWICE on my car, costing me thousands in repairs; and their base service prices are at least 40% higher than independent service shops. Please do not feel obligated to go to them just because they're a certified dealership... I made that mistake for a while, but my experience with independent shops has been better on price AND quality. As for me, I HIGHLY recommend Wizard Werks on West Lake - they know what they're doing. read more

Vehicle was thoroughly washed and detailed with a full tank of gas. Customer service is excellent when I was taking delivery one of the Key fob was missing. Sales man Sean Dwyer has reached out to the previous owner collected the other key fob and mailed it to me. Overall paperwork and transaction went smooth. My car needed new rotors and brake pads. I had bought it used only six months earlier from Perillo so perhaps I should be irritated that a certified car was sold to me in such a condition. However, I'm NOT because Alex in the service department saved the day! He contacted BMW directly, explaining the situation, and they said they would cover the cost even though it wasn't covered under the warranty (though not entirely certain why that is either). So ... in the end ... while I had been feeling highly defensive coming into the service department, believing somehow I would end up having to throw a lot of money at this, Alex totally took care of the problem in order to make THIS CUSTOMER happy. read more
