Today I was able to buy a small sample bottle of #13 (samples are $7, small bottles are $110) which is the new fragrance that I'm obsessed with. I also love the body lotions. The only downside that I've experienced here is that one time I got a gift of a body lotion in a fragrance that I didn't like and I was not able to return or exchange it. If I buy gifts from the le Labo store, I always make sure to ask the recipients what fragrance number they use as I don't want them to have the same experience that I did. You can also buy the Le Labo fragrances at Nordstrom and it's an easy return if it's not right. Sales staff is very knowledgable and I can't wait to start trying my new #13!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, up until I went to go checkout. The person who checked me out, forgot her name but had short light brown hair, was just really rude. But the one time the worker looked at me, she gave me a judgy, dirty look. Way out of pocket and random since I barely spoke a word to her as well. Really rubbed me the wrong way. After 20+ years I decided I needed help with a defective incense coffin that they of course sold to me. First, I talked to the lady who is always there who has zero power to do anything.. What's her point? Why is she there if she can't help customers with a defective product? Pointless and can't do anything except take your money.. She asks me to come back because it was Sunday and her boss comes in on Monday. I come back on Tuesday, this becoming a second dry run, lemme tell you! I talked to her boss, the Indian man sitting in the back talking crap does nothing to keep returning customers happy! This dude doesn't budge on a 'fair exchange' for their defective incense coffin coming apart.. I love this thing since it has incense storage, too.. Get this! I've even tried to meet this cheap shister half way at 50% off for a replacement, nah! They take your money and forget the repeat business we've brought for over 20 years. Still don't want to budge when it's their fault! Dude hides behind a garbage policy! Welps! You've just lost a customer buddy. If you're reading this DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! When I got home and looked them up, I was shocked. The Lattafa Rave Now perfume I purchased is readily available online for around $26, and the Al Rehab Choco Musk perfume sells for about $8. Even accounting for the higher costs of running a physical store, charging over $100 for products that retail for a fraction of that price is an outrageous markup. The perfumes do appear to be authentic, but that doesn't justify such inflated pricing. Had I known the actual retail value, I never would have made the purchase. I feel misled and regret shopping here. I strongly encourage anyone considering buying from this store to compare prices online first. You can purchase the exact same authentic fragrances directly from the manufacturer or reputable retailers like Amazon for significantly less.

I love the Echo Park Time Travel Mart and wanted to give their Mar Vista location a visit sometime while I'm on the west side. Their hours are pretty limited. Google and Yelp claim Friday to Sunday from 12:00-6:00pm, but buried on their own website it says 2:00-6:00pm on Tuesdays to Saturdays. Not sure which is more up to date. But I've gone out of my way on two separate occasions when the hours overlap, and both times they've been closed anyway. Their website does warn they're often closed during their hours and to call ahead, but I haven't gotten an answer. (I guess because they're usually closed?) So yeah, if you can catch them when they're open, great! But I wouldn't advise going out of your way for it unless you can call in advance and confirm they'll actually be open.

If you're coming because you saw this on instagram, please dont set your expectations too high!!…read more I'm really happy I found this place by chance when strolling through the area. Then I saw it on my IG feed weeks later and all I could think was how content creators over-hype all these hidden gems in LA. I just notice that influencers put an exaggerated spin on spots like these to make them seem a lot bigger or crazier than they actually are for the sake of views. Not to say they aren't worth visiting, but I think the fun part about these kinda shops is discovering it for yourself or that element of surprise. I've just been severely disappointed by some places I've visited that didn't live up to the expectations set by content creators. It's not the businesses fault, but just how social media works these days. Anyways, it's a small shop that you'll probably get through in a few minutes, but definitely worth checking out. I'm so glad I so happened to stumble upon this place by surprise, and I hope that's how you find it too :)
