Much of what was out looked like it had been in the store for a while and my shopping experience was not improved by the sales team. There were three associates working the floor but I made my way to the back of the space before anyone acknowledged me in the near empty store. Also, as a former LOFT sales associate, I was shocked that none of them offered to start a fitting room for me while I walked throughout the store carrying dresses I eventually tried on. The dresses were cut poorly and didn't fit, which was a bummer, because I love LOFT. I probably wouldn't visit this location again... not that anyone in the store would notice if I was there or not.

We noticed exactly how we were treated the moment we walked in. The damage was already done, and the message was loud and clear. If you're still comfortable treating Black customers like we're invisible until proven "worthy," you have no business working in customer service. We saw it. We felt it.

Good stuff they had when I went today: The deluxe Crock-Pot with digital timer for less than $30. Ink Cartridges for my printer, 3 for $25. 6 jumbo rolls of TP for $3.50. I take these and other purchases to the register, and ask the cashier, "So how long have you guys been here?" He says 4 years. Really? I had no idea. I've driven past it countless times.
