Inside is clean and spaces are a good size.

This garage is right by Civic Center and close to the UN Plaza, Orpheum theater, and more. It is clean and the spaces aren't cramped. You take a ticket and pay at the kiosk before exiting. Prices are steep, but that's SF for you.

With a show to see at the Herbst Theater on a recent Thursday evening, figuring out where to park was the next decision the pre-show consideration. Granted, I probably could have found street parking in the area, I didn't want to be worrying about my car during the show and looked for parking garages in the area. Saw that the Performance Arts Garage was around the corner from the Theater and decided that I'd park my car there. Entered the garage on Grove St. Their flat rate for theater and special events is $22. Parked on the third floor by the elevators and since it was a flat rate, I paid at the pay station now rather than after the show to avoid any possible lines. After the show, we went straight to the car and exited at their Gough St exit. This garage is convenient for watching a show, opera, ballet or symphony and $22 is a fair price to pay for the area.

How do you rate a parking garage? This place is in a good location near Hayes valley and the symphony, opera house and other venues. Everything is automated and they did have staff there so there was someone to help for any issues.

Yes, only $2 per hour to park!!

Decently priced parking with an early bird discount during the week. A true gem amongst the wallet emptying parking places in San Francisco.

I also have a dash cam which shows me parking.. my own car at the spot he directed to. Drove in at around 12pm on a Tuesday.. Parked in many parking garage already in the past. Ticket at kiosk before entering structure. (Paper) Goes in and one of the works points at a spot so I park into it. He asked me to give him my ticket (the one from the kiosk). Then he says "leave the keys in the car" so I get out and say "ok is that it?" He goes "how long are you going to park here? me: 20-40 mins" And hes like ok go so I leave. I get back and try to pay for the parking and the guy asked for my ticket receipt. Well I don't have it because I never got one.. And so charged max price for the ticket 25$ for like 45 minutes.. Back and forth with cashier "How did you not get a ticket we wouldn't have parked your car otherwise?" Well its so strange.. because I parked the car... and I left the keys in the car when the guy asked me to. The ticket receipt is also a massive card thats thick I definitely did not get one.. How can I get a 25$ charge when they have when I entered. Look at the enter and paid time.. It's a piece of paper too not some fob or keycard that's magnetic so it would make sense to charge the max. What kind of parking garage has a system where a person is responsible for even giving you a charge receipt when every OTHER garage in just takes a ticket and that's the thing you pay to get out with. Maybe just a SF thing.. But here we have a ticket at the kiosk to then hand to someone else to give you a separate ticket??? TLDR Just use any other parking garage in the finical district.. Or I guess make sure you get the ticket. Also there are no instructions for this place which I guess is a no brainer what kind of parking garage has a system like this that would require instructions.

One of the best rates you'll find since the downtown parking shortage began in 2010 with the demolition of the Transbay Terminal for construction of the Transbay Transit Center.
