Price was entirely reasonable and within $200 of the quote despite the crew uncovering some unexpected roof damage. This how a project should be performed. I rarely give 5-star reviews but if my Mutt could vote, he'd give Johnson Roofing another star. Regrettably, no opposable thumbs.

They had always been straightforward and easy to work with as well as reasonably priced. So when it finally became clear that the roof needed to be replaced they were the first company that I considered. However, I also got quotes from 3 other companies. Fleming came in with the next to the lowest quote, and since I was already acquainted with Mike and knew the quality of their work I didn't hesitate to give them the job. Mike made multiple visits to the house to go over the details and explain the order of events. Once we picked the tile it was only a few weeks before they were ready to start. Mike told me that they would start on a Monday and be finished by Friday. Since concrete tile roofs are a big job and I had seen it take weeks for some other houses in the neighborhood to be re-roofed, I didn't think they could possibly complete the work in such a short time. They actually delivered some of the equipment on a Saturday so they were ready to start full speed that next Monday. I commented that the workers had obviously worked together as a team for a long time, because it seemed like a well-organized ballet as the ten or so workers started removing the old tile. During the week they showed up promptly every morning and often worked from 7 AM till 7 PM or so with very little down time. Even the neighbors commented on how polite and pleasant the workers were. A lot of damage to the plywood underlayment and fascia boards was discovered and was quickly taken care of. In spite of the extra problems the job was indeed finished on Friday afternoon and the new roof and skylights looked beautiful. They did a thorough job of cleaning up and removing excess material! We frequently commented on how smoothly the job went and how considerate the workers were. We couldn't be more satisfied with the new roof. I'm hopeful that I will never again need any roof work, but if I do I will certainly call Mike Fleming. I highly recommend Fleming Brothers to anyone in need of roof repairs or a new roof.
