Just had my second knee procedure done with Dr Guettler, Meniscus tear... He is a surgical stud. I was in bad shape and had waited longer than I should have. Experienced zero post operation pain, minimal swelling and 14 days later am walking on my knee almost pain free. His practice and team are first rate. Thanks for fixing me up Dr G read more

I came in to have my knee looked at since I was having trouble extending it and was in a lot of pain. Dr. Swift quickly evaluated the issues and let me know I would have to have surgery because I had a torn meniscus. After MRI and X-ray it was confirmed. Dr Swift preformed surgery on me with in the week. After surgery I met with Dr. Swift again and he spent time with me to help me understand my recovery. He was very attentive to my needs and questions. My recovery and experience has been great. I try to send everyone I know to Dr. Swift. read more

Dr. Guettler repaired two meniscus tears in my knee and I went to work the next day. Could not be happier with the entire process and the results. Highly recommend. read more

I'm not sure what sort of doctors offices the other reviewer frequents to have these unrealistic expectations, but the experiences I've had at Performance Orthopedics have been very positive. Friendly front desk staff, free wifi(!), ample free parking, clean and modern space. The staff listened to my situation and prepared Dr. Guettler to speak with me so he knew my whole story walking in the room before we even met. I also appreciate that after sending me for an MRI, Dr. Guettler (or Dr. Joe, as he introduces himself) and I were able to talk about conservative treatment options to help buy me some time until any arthroscopic surgery is needed. I'm in the medical field so I have a greater appreciation for all the moving parts behind the scenes that most people probably don't think about. This office has their acts together. Great office, great doctor, great experience. read more

Thank you so much to Dr. Guettler for performing a flawless ACL reconstruction surgery on me. I was very nervous for my first surgery ever, and he made me feel very comfortable and confident before going in. I'm very thankful that I was able to have my surgery done by him. My recovery is going well and my physical therapist is impressed with how well surgery went. I would highly recommend him if you need to go through orthopedic surgery read more

On my first visit to performance orthopedics the doctor told me my injury wasn't too serious and I should be able to walk without crutches in 3 weeks. This was a very short visit. The nurse took an X-ray and the doctor quickly diagnosed the problem. The doctor was right, my injury had healed but asked to come in for a follow up appointment. The front desk staff did not tell me that the follow-up visit will be a separate charge. Had they been clear I wouldn't have visited the facility for a follow up. To this date no clinic has ever charged me for a follow up visit. Performance orthopedics just sent me a new bill for my second visit. Please check with your doctor to see if a follow up visit is really needed. read more

Have sent my kids here multiple times in the past, for the most part they have been good. Called today because my daughter severely hurt hurdled and needed to get in for someone to check her out. The receptionist on the phone was unbelievably rude and condescending towards me, not sure if it was because it's early or what. All I know is I am now skeptical of this place. read more

Dr. Biglin is the kindest, most thoughtful, and caring doctor. He listens to all of your concerns instead of just dismissing you. He never rushes through his appointments with you. He advocates on your behalf. The entire staff at Performance Orthopaedics is so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend them. read more

I have been a patient of Performance Orthopedics for many years. I have had four previous knee surgeries. I went in with a new injury and Dr. Guettler quickly had x-rays, mri and surgery all completed. I feel 100% better. I felt like I could walk out of the surgery center. Dr. Guettler was great to work with. He is very quick and very efficient. His PA and the rest of the staff were great too. I highly recommend! read more

Dr. Guettler is an amazing surgeon.. His bedside Manor is friendly and professional.. His expertise and experience made me feel at ease and my recovery from my knee injury great! My husband had both of his knees fixed from a bad experience from another surgeon and he would only allow me to see Dr. Guettler.. I'm so glad I did.. I am a skilled trades person in a factory and I need to be physically capable everyday.. The tools that Dr. Guettler uses for a successful recovery helped me get back to my job in no time.. The staff at Performance Orthopedics was efficient and friendly... I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Guettler and his office... read more

Worst experience ever. I saw Dr. Guettler and was advised I needed surgery. I called the surgery scheduler (ms. Christine Mikho) for 2 weeks and never received a call back. The staff was could have cared less and did nothing to assist other than say, "keep calling". I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone who needs any kind of follow up care. read more

Dr. Biglin seemed preoccupied and treated me as if I was irritating him by imposing on his time. Was not patient with questions. In addition the treatment plan he created after the FIVE minute exam included Cortisone injections, Synvisc-One injections and knee replacement "in the near future". Left the office feeling discouraged, scared and demeaned. I subsequently was blessed to go to an awesome physical therapist that diagnosed me w/ a pulled hamstring (NOT the diagnosis Biglin had given for the extreme pain!) which was improved after the first visit!!! I'm a registered nurse and have been around many medical personal. I would not recommend Dr. Biglin and obviously would never return. It's chilling to think of the unnecessary pain, money and potential complications he would have caused me had I followed his advice. read more

AWESOME place!!! Really friendly staff, efficient doctors (but they still take time to explain everything well). I've already referred my parents to these guys!! read more

I went to see Dr. Biglin in October 2017 for back pain. I did get in immediately to see the doctor. I showed him an xray showing curvature in my spine. He wrote me a Rx for physical therapy AND for Xrays. He could not do Xrays at his office! I was literally there for 3 minutes in front of the doctor. Dr. Biglin told me to come back in 3 weeks with the Xrays. The problem I had was that the doctor prescribed physical therapy BEFORE he examined me or any Xrays! I could have a broken back for all he knew. I did not like this approach and canceled my follow up appointment. THEN I got the bill! $297 for 3 minutes. No exam! No Xrays! Nothing! When I called to complain that nobody was worth $100/minute the receptionist was rude. The office manager was nice when I asked to speak to her but just said "that's what the going rate was in the industry"! I said nobody is worth $100 minute. She said "that's what we charge". I have since called my insurance carrier and filed a complaint and will also file one with the State Of Michigan's Attorney General office. DON'T GO HERE! IT'S A RIP OFF! read more

went here for knee pain, was told I needed a cartilage transplant, went through the painful surgery and the cart they transplanted never grew and the pain was only worse. The Dr (Dr Geuttler) stated that all of his procedures work and that there just must be something else wrong. This dr is very egotistical and he doesn't care about his patients. I went to Dr. Teitge after this and I tell you Dr. Teitge is the Dr to see! I wish I had heard of him before wasting my time and health with Dr. Joeseph Guettler. read more
