We landed on a company that built our sign out of sheet aluminum and they swore that it was sturdy and able to hang safely in the wind. Well, we put it up on a windy day and within 2 hours the wind ripped the sign down. A hanging aluminum sign is a BAD IDEA! We started over again. We had looked at J Dubs that first time, but we didn't know what we were really buying and didn't understand the differences. For our second round we went back to J Dubs we found out what a great sign company can do. We gave them a simple design idea (Irish font with the ranch name) and a smaller second sign with a horse on it. We sent them some pic ideas and left it to them. Their designer (no extra cost) sent some ideas and they far exceeded our ideas - that's what a great designed does. The signs are heavy powder coated steel. There are stiffening bars on the top of the big sign and the bottom of the small sign. They won't tear out! The work of the designer is gorgeous! Better than we could have ever imagined! I have patronized this welding shop twice now, and both times I have been extremely pleased with…read moretheir service but most of all their professional work. The first project I had them do was to repair severe damage to an old Schwinn Stingray bicycle frame. Previously I had brought it to one other welding shop in town (the one on Story Mill and Bridger Canyon) and they said they couldn't do much at all to repair it. However, one of the fellows at Midwest took a single look at it and said, "yep, no problem. We will have it done tomorrow." When I got it back, it looked like brand new. The most recent project I gave them was the mounting of a custom fiberglass motorcycle seat onto an old Honda motorcycle. The previous owner who had the seat made for the bike had removed several key parts from the frame for the seat to be mounted, and there was no hardware on the seat itself to be attached to the non-existent mounting points on the frame. To say the least, this was a tricky problem and multiple ways to solve it. When I picked the bike up after they were finished, they had exceeded even my most optimistic expectations. Im not going to get into the details of how they did it, but it was done with careful consideration as to design, safety, style, and the price limit I had set. Hell, they even powder coated the parts they added to match the color of the original frame. This was a truly masterful job they did. Though all this quality work comes at a hansom price tag, but for the product and service it is worth it. I will definitely be returning to them if I need anymore work done.
