I was in the St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Charles without my glasses. Lewis and Clark Gardens…read moreRehabilitation Center had appropriated them (but that's another review). I checked everywhere I had been to make sure that it was L&C that had stolen them. Yep. They had been sucked down the Black Hole of Allen's (the worst nurse at L&C IMHO) ego. I phoned Walmart in O'Fallon where I had originally purchased the glasses (approx. $280) but they would be unable to replace the glasses for a week! I phoned a local optician but that shop told me that it would be two weeks! I was desperate! That night I talked with my ex-wife who lives in a small town in Alabama (yes, Mary and Henry. You can still be friends with your ex). She had just gotten new glasses at her local LensCrafters. The glasses cost her about $250 and were ready in less than an hour! I know. Sounds like a LensCrafters Commercial. Quite honestly I was skeptical. I found a LensCrafters close to St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles on the internet and phoned them. I explained my problem: I was in the hospital and L&C Rehabilitation (Allen) had eaten my glasses. I would have to order the frames unseen and hope that the Walmart Eye Center in O'Fallon would release my prescription. Then there was the problem of delivery. I have no local relatives and just recently moved here from Alabama so have few friends. The manager of this LensCrafters said there would be no problems and he was as good as his word. The new glasses cost just over $300. He personally delivered my glasses to me in my hospital room before 5:00 the same afternoon. Thank you, LensCrafters for being a standup company. I don't trust reviews like this one. Those who know me will know that it is true and absolutely accurate. For everyone else, I urge you to try this eyestore.

I went to the store the first time, not cover since no lens protection. Report to corporate and they said to go back to store. The rest of employees were very nice and she saw the flaking. She said manager will call you. He did not instead she called back and I said I wanted to speak to the manager. Almost 2 months later still not heard from him. I went to Costco and Target optical (own by same company) for 2nd and 3rd opinion and all said they would redo the lenses. The they later said there is a 90 days warranty. I have my lenses adjusted many times by only them and they never reported to me. I then contact BBB, the manger wrote I stepped on my glasses. Never have and on top of that why the flaking of the rose coating. I only asked for a replacement of the lenses not refund. No more coming here. Also BBB has multiple F rating for Lenscrafters at this location

Made an appointment for my 8yr old daughter, when we…read morecalled to make the appointment we brought up her age and made sure they take kids this young. Person on the phone said yes. When we get to the appointment and she is being seen, the Dr said we don't normally take kids under 10 or 12. And of course he is having issues. Long story short after 2 separate visits and given a prescription which was 100% wrong. My daughter could see even less wearing the glasses. We were told to take her somewhere else. It's like they just wanted to bill our insurance twice. Because now that I'm asking insurance for another evaluation LensCrafters doesn't respond to the first 2 letters and with just a couple days left of their window to respond/ dispute they request to be sent over the paper work again. Pushing my daughter reevaluation out longer than the normal 30 day period. They made the mistake. They told us to go somewhere else. Now they won't even submit the documents needed so she can see a different Dr.

Alec, who assisted me, deserves 5 stars for being personable, knowledgeable & patient as it took multiple times to correctly yet comfortably position the glasses on my ears & nose. Thank you!

I made to appointment through your website and included all of my information as well as the insurance info. When I got to the office they made a copy of my insurance card and driver's license. While being pre-test ed I told the optician that I wore contacts and wore a contact in one eye and only wanted what the insurance covered. She told me that the contact lens fit was only $29.00 so I agreed to have the contact lens eye exam. While in the pre-test room she told me that she was going to take pictures of my eye and it was $19.00 and insurance wasn't going to cover. So I thought my bill was going to be $48.00 . The exam was great the Dr dilated my eyes and put a new contact in my eye and scolded me for wearing my contacts too long a sleeping in them and he told me my glasses rx didn't change much. When the Dr returned me to the optician she asked if I was going to get new glases, my response was "what does the insurance cover?" She said a discount, I opted not to get new glasses and to wait on ordering contact lenses. She then told me my total was $130.00 , I had to pay with my debit card and run home (15 miles) to retrieve another form of payment. Upon looking at my bill in the insurance section there is "eyemed ". I have coventry.. also there is a $5.00 co-pay.
