Brought my 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 in with transmission issues ultimately the transmission was shot in needed replaced and was going to be covered under an extended warranty. The dealership had no issue working with the extended warranty to have the transmission replaced after a couple weeks I got the truck back and everything was good I thought less than a year later I started hearing sounds coming from the bell housing area and not living in the area anymore, I called and they told me I would have to take it to their dealership for them to look at it for anything to be covered not wanting to cause any damage. I took it to a dealership in Virginia, and ultimately the flywheel bolts were loose, causing the flywheel to rattle when the shop did an initial inspection. There were bell housing bolts loose. There were bolts missing exhaust, put back together with wrong bolts and wire holding it when I tried to talk to the service manager at this dealership about what the other shop had found and the issues they did not believe me or the shop and told me for them to cover any of the cost. The vehicle would have to be brought down to their dealership, which is not possible without paying an outrageous amount in Towing. Obviously they do not take any pride in the work that they do do not trust this dealership. read more

FAFO, This business is absolutely terrible. You're about to face the consequences. Zach Bosalu is the most unprofessional GM I've encountered in my 40 years of buying vehicles-- while owning my business we bought 1-2 trucks every year for work, FORD. I should have known better to buy a reputable broke down Chevy Specially from this POS Performance Chevy dealership. plus didn't offer me 5.9 interest Chevy was offering. 760 credit score So screwed me out of thousands more by giving me 7.3%. It's ok I am selling Chevy to buy a new F250. Zac gave me an out-the-door (OTD) price but still added extra charges for TTL and another documentation fee while I could have purchased my own TTL for less than $4500. I've already reported them to the BBB and the Attorney General of North Carolina. Stay away from these scammers! I'll encourage hundreds, even thousands of people about your establishment. Don't mess up on you, Coming soon, FAFO read more

Oil plug tighter than I've ever seen it on any vehicle. Never will use this place for service again. Also electrical issues on the vehicle purchased from this location. read more

Performance Chevrolet - Damaged oil plug due to poor service - Auto Repair Near Me - Elizabeth City, North Carolina

Good service. Fairly quick. Fix issues without question. Only downside is they are so booked up with appointments.

I had the unfortunate luck of burying the front end of my Blazer in the sand at the beach in the Summer of 2020. BTW, I am from out of state and was on a family vacation at the NC beaches when this happened. After several disappointing calls to Chevy dealers, I called Performance and spoke with Liz. She realized the predicament I was in and made arrangements for me to be at Performance the next day. She and the service team there made temporary repairs sufficient enough to allow me to drive the car several hundred miles home, because trim parts needed to be ordered. I cannot say enough positive about my experience. Liz is the bomb! Thank you. read more

We had a fantastic buying experience with Jimmy and the Performance Chevrolet team. They were able to get us the truck we wanted at a price we were comfortable with and we appreciated how down to earth they were. Jimmy understands how car buying and car salesman can be and he does everything he can to make it a pleasurable experience for his customers. We can't recommend Jimmy enough if you are thinking about buying a new or used car. Unlike most dealerships, they aren't pushy and allow you make a decision that makes you truly happy and comfortable. read more

I like the truck I bought. The salesman was top notch. A sensor failed in the first 150 miles. Dis heartening. Service was prompt and pleasant to deal with. I that all dealerships would be up front with pricing. Not just the vehicle price but also add on extended warranties, finishes, under coating . If you have arranged for cash, loan then they hit you with addition couple thousand dollars I get really pissed. read more

I love Performance Chevrolet and all the staff. They work with you to get you what you need. Jaquan has been our sales rep both times and the sales managers are great. I have had nothing but positive things to say about this dealership! You won't be disappointed. read more

Great experience for the first time visiting the facility. I believe the guy in the service department was named 'Chad'. He did a great job communicating with me, I definitely will be coming here instead of any of the dealerships in Virginia Beach. read more

For more than 30 years in Illinois I have steered clear of dealership service after purchasing a vehicle. Now living in NC and needing an oil change and tire rotation figured I'd "try" Performance Chevy. I'm impressed-great service, friendly staff, fair prices (love the service coupons) and even their willingness to drive me home and pick me up for more extensive repairs on a vehicle. Didn't think that my opinion of dealership service could be changed but it has. Thanks for a great experience every time! read more

I will never deal with this dealership again!! Very unprofessional staff. I bought a 2019 vehicle in March ... haven't had it 30 days or made the 1st car payment but they want me to pay $1000 to fix this car already claiming it's not covered by the bumper to bumper warranty just to get out of fixing it. Now I'm without a car for 2 weeks while they wait on a part. I cant even take it anywhere else to get fixed bc the car is so new parts haven't even been released to the stores so I'm stuck dealing with them!! Never in my life have I experienced such a scam!!! Just terrible terrible terrible!!! read more

Worst experience ever !!! Had my 2016 Camaro SS in for a shudder while driving, they said it was a tire, I knew it was not a tire and even told them but I went with what they said. Well it wasn't a tire it was the transmission, they had me bring it back to replace the torque converter and that fixed the problem, while it was there they did a recall on a trans cooling line and I also told them about a noise at the rear-end when making a tight turn. They called me that it was done, when I get the car it had scratches all over the front upper bumper and fender, and rear noise problem not fixed. So I take it in AGAIN for the rear noise and scratches. haven't picked up the car yet but now they're saying that the noise is normal, well I did research and is not. Picking up car tomorrow and will never be back to this place, I had already heard bad things about this place but was willing to give it a chance, I bought my car using a Ford dealership because I was told they were really bad and indeed they are !!! its sad that I have to take my brand new car (CHEVY) to a ford dealership because I cant trust the people in the service department. The service writer Tiffani was great always helpful and apologetic, I felt sorry every time I called and had to talk to her, she was wonderful every time. Also brought the car in before all this to replace the original rims to a different type of also stock rims and they scratched and gauged the original rims, put them in the boxes of the new rims and did not say anything to me, I found out when I got home and open the boxes, they had to replace 2 of the rims. I would NOT recommend taking a bicycle to this place to get worked on !!!!! read more

Don't use their parts dept unless you want to get it stuck to you. I have tried to buy locally and I have used them for years and have always been treated fairly until now. I can drive across the VA line and buy the same part 100 dollars cheaper and even get it 80 cheaper online after paying shipping. And on top of that I am a female myself but the 2 ladies (which includes the parts Manager doesn't have a clue to what they are doing. I will continue to use the body shop due to a awesome Mgr. Kevin but won't go back to the parts and doubt I will buy new from them. Never been so disappointed what happened to this place. read more

I was fine until they came to me to tell me about an oil pan bolt. They said I need to replace it and it cost $18.00. I think this is a part which they sure have gave me for free. Not only me, but for other customs which bring their car or truck to be service and pay a lot of money. Just a small bolt sure just have been replace no question, Should have just came to me and said they have replace it for me. I know I will never hear from any from this office, just like in the pass, not from PERFORMANCE CHEVROLET, OR GENERAL MOTORS. read more

Went in looking for a vehicle. They had a so-so, yawn attitude, I can't say they were pushy ! We were the ONLY customers there !! Took their time to decide WHO would speak with us and pretty much let us know that we were dealing with THEM.... Well, EXCUUUUSE ME ... We were about to walk out when one of them decided to ask if they could help us. We had pretty much already decided if they were to treat us like this from the first step, how good would it be if we purchased a vehicle and needed service .... The salesman let us know right away they didn't move on their prices .............. really ? Long story short ... we left ...... bought a vehicle THAT DAY right down the street. We were treated with respect and courtesy the minute we arrived...... That will be our first and last visit to Performance Chevrolet. I'm in the market for a truck now but won't be going to Performance Chevrolet ... I'll go straight back to my new dealer that I respect and GET respect from ... Oh yeah, Performance Chevrolet has been calling our house .... they can save their precious time ..... read more
