My son had a scan done here on Friday 10/3 in the afternoon. We arrived a bit late around 20 mins but didn't wait long to be seen. This location is very clean and nice they even have a water fountain. The staff here is so nice and friendly as well. Def recommend read more

This office will have a different doctor all the time. It took over 2 years for them to request and extraction which delayed the process. They would call to ask to come in earlier or change the appointment. Then after all this time because my daughter missed 1 appointment in a year the refuse to continue treatment. When she doesn't have much time left. Now I have to find somewhere else to see if they can continue her treatment. It's ridiculous after they received all that money from my insurance. read more

When they thought my insurance wasn't accepted by their practice, they TEXTED ME a whole out-of-pocket breakdown for $5600 over 12 months, two weeks after my evaluation. I called my insurance (best insurance for dental care you can have, top premium plan covered under a city union contract) and they told me not only am I covered at 100% but they can't charge me over $650 for my whole process of braces. I went back and relayed the message to PREFECT SMILE (555 E FORDHAM RD BRONX NY -ACROSS THE STREET FROM WHITE CASTLE JUST IN CASE YOURE READING THIS WONDERING WHICH COMMENTS ARE REAL VS FAKE) ....they said okay my info was updated to a new insurance number and they'll get back to me. I called a week later, they transferred me to Jose who told me he was the financial advisor. Come to find out, he's the manager. He states the office still does all their approvals by pen and paper then priority mails them out. My insurance said if they'd just log into the employer portal it would take 30 secs but instead they're willing to waste 2 weeks and potentially lose a client? But so be it, I wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. It's been a month and a half. THEY DGAF ONCE JOSE REALIZES HE CANT MAKE MONEY FROM YOU. THIS ISNT A DENTIST, THESE ARE MECHANICS!! I've been going to Perfect Smile on Fordham Road for the past two months for my orthodontic treatment. Initially, they told me verbally that my treatment would last 8 months. However, when I reviewed the contract, it stated 2 years. it feels like they are trying to take advantage of me because I don't have insurance. When I expressed my desire to end the contract due to these issues, they demanded even more money. This practice is deceitful and seems designed to rip off patients without insurance. I was hired as a front desk coordinator and after being poorly trained for two weeks I was put to work by myself with a system that is terrible and never works correct . After being made to feel like I was not smart enough numerous time by the manager Jose Castillo I spoke up . My last day of employment I worked a whole shift and had to leave at my scheduled shift time because my son was sick they called me on a 3 way call with the president Sabrina and I was terminated with no explanation what so ever. This office has the potential to be good but they are extremely disorganized and intolerable. I brought my son in for an evaluation before the year ended in 2021. My insurance required a dental referral in order to submit authorization for placement of braces and so on. I took about 5 months to obtain the referral and then made an appointment with the office for financial review before beginning the treatment. In those months, Jairo from the office called me about 3 times a week to make an appointment and remind me about the referral. Below, I have attached a small portion of deleted voicemails from perfect smile, believe me, there's much more calls. Today after numerous (harassing) calls, I made the appointment with my son. I waited 1 whole hour to be told my insurance was terminated. My insurance is not terminated, they pulled up an old insurance from last year and failed to prepare for this appointment although they have been harassing me for months to come in. I left the office without any information and then received a call once I arrived home to give them the referral. I had already submitted the referral when I made the appointment several days prior to my visit. I hope the owner and office manager reviews this post and makes changes to policies and employee tasks because what I experienced with perfect smile is beyond ridiculous. read more

What a bad experience. After wearing braces for 19 months, I asked the orthodontist about the smiling arc during today's visit. Unfortunately, the conversation I had with Dr. Garg made me very frustrated and disappointed. The way she talked was not pleasant at all. She was almost mean when she tried to explain something. Not only I didn't get the care and respect I deserve, but also I feel I was greatly offended. She is definitely an eloquent arguer but not a caring doctor！！！ Dr Garg is the third doctor I met during my 19 months' treatment. Perfect Smile Braces changed their doctors too often, and no doctor I saw stayed in their office more than 1 year. I really tried hard to like Dr Garg in the past few months but failed. Before Dr Garg, it was Dr Cho who did great job instead. I do like DR Cho and the way he respects his patients and listens to his patients. In order not to have the same bad experience with DR Garg any more, I will go to Dr Cho who currently work in Manhattan from next appointment. Believe me, if you were me, after the 19 month's treatment you cannot get what you expected or see a good result in the near future , you will be as desperate as I do. They are just super cool in understanding your requirements!!! I had my invisalign treatment and completed it in 12months.

Please go to a local orthodontist. At perfect smiles an orthodontist will only oversee the work done on you. The orthodontist will apply your actual braces but thats about it. The orthodontist will simply take a quick look and ensure the assistants are doing the right thing. My first day with braces a bracket fell off as I was drinking coffee, the next day it fell off as I ate a muffin. For the next year I lost at least 1 bracket every month! There would be months I lost 3 at a time. This really confused me because i tried to avoid hard & sticky things. I literally survived off of yogurt and ice cream. I hated even going to this place, simply because I felt scammed. It costs $35 to fix a single bracket. $575 to replace retainers. $100 for every month you are in treatment outside of the time they estimate it will take. (They still charge this fee even though we're in a pandemic.) Im no longer in braces. The orthodontist admitted my bite is not good. I've spent at least 7k here. Correcting dental issues is expensive. They ensure to make it even more expensive. read more

Another bad experience! My daughter had been seen at this place for about 2 years. We've had many cancellations due to THE OFFICE canceling. 1. They canceled because the doctor that participated in her insurance left 2. They canceled because the doctor went on maternity leave 3. COVID 4. Scheduling system not working 4. Weather 5. No staff etc etc etc Now because her contract needs to be extended because of their cancellations ..... they are charging me $100/ month. The nerve! Why not credit me for all YOUR cancellations that were greater than 4 months . There was a time I had to call them and ask if they were ever going to call and let me know the schedule was fixed! All these months , appt canceled by PERFECT SMILES and now my daughter is being penalized because her treatment is not complete. Credit me for the thousand times you canceled me and then come talk to me about $100/month. I'm quite aware .. there will be more cancellations and I will end up paying $1000 more. Don't come here ! One of the most terrible dentist office I have ever been too. The staff was rude after waiting at the desk for 10 minutes after the staff was having conversations about there upcoming weekend. Didn't even acknowledge someone was in front of them. They quoted me A quote for a procedure and didn't even try to send the claim to the insurance company. All they want is your money. Perfect Smile has been nothing but an absolute pleasure, I came to them when looking for a new Ortho office to finish my procedure[braces] because I needed my case transferred (it's pretty difficult to get a case transferred, too difficult!) and they were amazing; worked with me and made it seamless. I found them after consulting with about 7 different offices all over the city, Perfect Smile gave me the confidence and reassurance I was looking for and found, that the other offices were lacking. They happily answered all my questions and concerns and informed me every step of the way about their procedures and why they were doing things. Each doctor and technician was a joy to interact with, you truly feel respected and cared for. The facilities are nice and open, no dingy old rooms with poor lighting. Movies are often played for your convenience, an attempt to alleviate that awkward moment when you're often staring at the wall in silence while you wait to be seen(not something you need worry about here) Sadly, it's a year later and I'm actually going to miss coming in for my appointments as often(definitely not the head gear!) I'm excited to report that they did a fantastic job and my braces are now gone. My smile is straighter and I'm left with my retainers(invisible/clear kind) the finish line is finally in sight and I'm happy with everything PSB has done to get me there. If I could give zero stars I would. Let me just get straight to the point and say that this is a company that's very UNPROFESSIONAL. They don't care about the practice, THEY CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's experienced this issue either. I contacted "perfect" smile braces because I seen that they accept my insurance online, so after a call with them they assured me that they accept my insurance and scheduled my appointment with the information I gave them. ONE DAY before my appointment (a day that I requested work off of and after waiting nearly 2 weeks for my appointment) THEY LEAVE ME A VOICEMAIL. Saying that my insurance is "Inactive " and that they were giving me an "option" to cancel the appointment or pay out of pocket!! They really wanted my money !! So I called them back to see what was this about and they told me they couldn't take my insurance because it was inactive I told them that it was false after them trying to press the situation and convince me to pay out of pocket some more, I simply called my insurance company !!! And sure enough they assured me that my insurance WAS VERY ACTIVE !!! they did not understand why this company would tell me it was not ! I've used my insurance else where afterwards and sure enough my insurance was active !!! After a chat with my friend who works in a Dental/Orthodontics office she told me that many dental offices and orthodontics offices LIE about specific insurances when they don't want to accept it for certain reasons including money! I COULD'VE had my insurance company call them and prove them wrong (but they KNEW nothing was wrong with my insurance to begin with! What was the point of arguing for a company who didn't want to help me ??? ) POINTLESS !!! So I simply went to another orthodontist who gave me no problems regarding my insurance !! Do not go here ! Doctors and assistants are amazing, extremely knowledgeable about the subject, but front desk staffs and the people who schedule the appointments are not so good. Normally I have to wait between 1hr-2hrs to be seen, even though I have an appointment and get there on time. So if you don't have a problem waiting for a long amount of time, this is the perfect place for you. Update: Dr. Bailey himself gave me a call today and he ensured me he was going to resolve the situation (waiting time problems). I updated my review to 4 stars because other than the long waiting time, the team here is very good, and I kind of feel that people actually listen to patient's concerns. He addressed all my concerns and experience at Perfect smile and reassured me that if I went to the other location in the Bronx, New York I would Not have any concerns and would be treated like family. My son was interested in getting braces and his regular dentist had recommended it and referred us to Perfect Smile. After the initial consultation I was put at ease because they were willing to work with me and the payment plan was Perfect, any issues that came up was handled professionally and with great care and concern for my son. The reason for this star. Is to be very careful before signing a contract with Perfect Smile Braces. The general time frame for the braces maybe two years or less, but be weary about the contract of extended time, definitely late fees and brackets. Perfect Smile will cancel your appointment during the month until the next month and charge you not only the payments but late fees as well. WOW! SMH. According to Perfect Smile you are responsible making your payment on time whether they cancel you out. According to Perfect Smile "the braces are working within the month or two or three month without any adjustments", in which is part of a monthly service as well. Watch out for tactics of Perfect Smile when shifting your teeth to one side and than shift back to extend the time and contract. On many occasions, please watch out for adjustments, because your brackets can be broken after the person changes your wire and you will get charge!! Long story...so my son had to get braces and I was given a list of covered providers from my insurance and Perfect smile braces was one of them. I went to check them out, gave them my insurance card and they said he was partially covered...ok. Afterwards I called my insurance to see if it was correct and from what the dental place told them my son needed a procedure that wasn't covered...I said ok fine he needs them anyways. A few weeks later The lady in charge of billing gave me a breakdown of my payments and I was told I had to pay $500 deposit to put them on it was my first time dealing with this so I didn't think anything of it on top of my monthly payments! Fast forward to my son taking off his braces I called my insurance to find out about retainers etc and I just happened to ask if my coverage changed since my insurance changed as well. Come to find out my son was FULLY COVERED for his braces!! I called several times to confirm with my insurance and yes he's covered! Now you know I'm pissed off! I had to go get paperwork as proof of all my payments and what exactly I was charged for ! After several faxes and calls my claim was actually reviewed and approved! My insurance has been reaching out to Perfect Smile Braces to find out why I was charged and of course you know they will not answer or say the person in charge is not there just like they did to me to get my paperwork as proof! So pleaseeee DO NOT GET THE BRACES FROM THERE WHEN THEY TELL YOU YOU ARE NOT COVERED! They were charging me and my insurance !
