Dr was a decent guy. He actually did very good work, but the billing department is something else…read moreof its own. First it's $330 consultation fee. My total bill came out to $1000. Then do my due diligence through my insurance and my responsibilities is only $500 So they charge me $1000. They say this is the estimated charge .They're waiting for $500 from my insurance company to give me $500 back. It makes absolutely no sense. I am perplexed by this process. I don't think I would use this doctor again because of the billing department.

My son extraction was done in 2023 and we paid everything that we were asked to for consultation visit, at the day of procedure and at the follow up date. 2 years later they send you balance out of nowhere and they demand that you pay it or they would sent to collection. I realized they did over charge us in 2023 and over billed the insurance, for example they charge for 4 intervals of 15 min each of deep sedation which is 300 dollar each(1200 dollar total) my son extraction only took 15 min total how can you charge for 1 hour sedation when entire procedure took 15 min. Also in the consultation they would tell you the tooth are not impacted but later when they bill insurance they bill for impacted teeth which is more money and off-course the patient pays more out of pocket as well. I didn't understand all this when it happened in 2023 and I thought it is normal but when my second son had to do same extraction and I went with a different office I ended up paying less than what I paid with this Dr Costello, same insurance same everything, and whatever I was told my responsibility was is what I paid and they never asked me for anything else, but this costello practice after they over charge at the time of service and you pay all your out of pocket responsibility they bill you 2 years later for more money. I even took my second son to Dr Costello for extraction consultation and I was told all 4 tooth are not impacted and I scheduled the operation date, when I received the insurance pre authorization letter the Dr initiated it had different Information than what I was given at the consultation visit, it had that 2 tooth are impacted, when I called the office to ask why the insurance authorization has something different than what I was told at the consultation I got no where, this is when I said let me find another oral office and get second opinion, and I am glad I did because I was told all 4 tooth and not impacted and what they ended up charging was way less than what Dr Costello was going to charge and the procedure was very smooth and recovery was smooth. Again I didn't know I was ripped off until I had to go thru same wisdom tooth extraction for my other son. Lesson learned and I hope this review would save at least 1 family from getting ripped off.

Comfortable, wonderful experience under the care of Dr Joshua Abrahams! Highly recommended for…read moreimplant surgery! It's hard to believe this is the way someone would describe having six teeth replaced to install 3 implants which then support a new set of six teeth. But the smooth gentle process, and the care from the staff and the doctor were actually a pleasure to experience. I was very positively impressed by Dr Abrahams' expertise as he moved smoothly, thoughtfully and confidently through each step of my several procedures. At each of my several visits over a period of months, I was pleased by how quickly each step moved forward and was completed with no complications and relatively no pain or discomfort. Dr Abrahams must be doing gentle, precise, careful work because after each of session of implant surgery, my personal experience was NO BLEEDING, NO SWELLING, NO PAIN, and NO COMPLICATIONS. Dr. Abrahams even called me at home a day later to assure I was recovering properly and to answer questions I might have. I could not be more satisfied!

I had been in so much pain prior to the extraction so I was a bit nervous. But it was quick and painless. I just went back to have a dental implant put in. During this process, he worked with two assistants seamlessly. The whole process was amazing and I am recovering well. They are clear with appointments and billing, have always run on time, and are very pleasant and low key. The space is spotless and welcoming. Front desk is AMAZING. Can't say enough good things!

I wish I was better at remembering names, I'm so sorry I can't be more specific, but! Genuinely…read moreeveryone at Dr. Sheehan's office was super friendly and helpful- from scheduling ( and rescheduling ) my appointments, new patient checkin, and explaining my insurance coverage. Dr. Sheehan and the tech who did my xrays and whatnot were both great about answering my dozens of questions, and were both friendly in a way that chilled out my anxiety and made me feel WAY more comfortable and confident in getting dental work done than I honestly thought was actually possible. If you're like me and sometimes need to battle your anxiety to just schedule dentist appointments when you know you should've booked yesterday, schedule with Dr. Sheehan. No judgement, no pressure, just a really great dentist with a really wonderful staff.

Wish I saw the other several bad reviews before I ever found this place that took my insurance plan…read moreand then there was THIS: Lying office that also told my insurer some totally opposite story as to what actually took place here after I made a complaint about her. Gee, I'm not surprised for after what's taken place and why so anyhow. This dentist is one of disgust for operating how she had and this experience for me by far was one of the most unsettling in dentistry. Start with their "practice tactics", how they conduct and operate, with my matter as a new patient (with a "Medicaid" based insurance, which you accept but silently frown upon?) For the unfortunate who need this insurance as their security and assists being our only health coverages but still, I'm grateful to have ANY at all. NOW what began here with Dr. lacking ethic and some logic by way of proper care and communication - what a wonder that ANY dentist would make any patient wait 8 wks. I am talking EIGHT long weeks to return, after the initial visit to start for the very needed dental work I came for? AND right after prognosis, your office tells me it'll be 2 months later for the next appointment to do it and how busy you are? Huh? Yea sure, yet the office had nobody in it both times I was there, the very first was for a cleaning/exam previously 6 months done by your retired and much nicer associate sho retired since then. Practice is a small one and not so busy a place and also, I drive by it plenty. Attitude given to me when I was pretty shocked about why so long to begin a very first step for my issue. The actual work for my issue, takes maybe one hour! ONE. A very first appt. revealed the need for "removal and replacement of loose post" with a crown new. You temp. cement in my old crown, quickly came off days after that, and it left me with an exposed, (as in uncapped) loose post, you would've had me wait 2 months with, likely it to worsen when you could've taken care of it within a "reasonable timeframe". You lie badly, telling insurer I said things I never would've - stuff unsettling to hear when they told me this. How you also wasted 2 wks after exam, JUST for "approval" all when these can only take "days", at most, a week, after being submitted "electronically" BUT you sat on that for awhile but once it got done - you NEVER called me for the appt. How I find out was WHEN the paper approval (copy) came in MY mailbox, another week after you already had approval! I called there twice after exam. THEN you add on another week, after I call asking for appt when your office couldn't care less and won't let me l make an in advance" appt. ON the very day I was there, that first time and after exam was done. How it gets worse, no calls to me after your weeks with approval done - AND all passing time was wasted by your own hand AND this just to BEGIN this step 1 of a 2 part procedure? Clearly did not care or concern with this 2 months (absurd) AND how that was leaving me with an existing loose post, it was exposed, loose, my old crown YOU cement temp., came off quick enough after I left your office that week. You have many office hours but NOT one hour for months for my tooth needs, none within 6-8 weeks time? Just basic math and logic and having previous dentists all tells me you could have found an hour and a date being less than 2 months away and this after weeks of your delaying me as it was. Really I'm now glad this all went down. As a result, I've since found a new and ethical dental practice and all's turned out great AND they had a new approval, for same procedure, within 3 days time, shall I assume it was just a miracle? They gave me an appointment within days of my call AND has already finished ALL crown prep, within days of calling them with my story here. IMMEDIATELY after I got off the phone with your office that day - with your biased gatekeeper, who first asks this, as if to need reminder, "what's your insurance again?" and NEXT she tells me their ONLY first appt. available IS at the "end of May" this was the 30th", too crazy to me hearing anything that far off and seeing weeks you wasted, BEFORE this, you can't be serious but were. This all was so unsettling and as you know, made complaint to my insurer- and then I get your attention? You sent me letters, and why? A certified letter and another same not cert. - just to inform me - due to my complaint, I'm not to come back again? LoL. Funny in that I def. wasn't planning on ever coming back. Thankful now to have found a good dental practice that's already halfway through the procedures. Office that got approvals done within days, books appts in right ways and who made sure my tooth wasn't to remain compromised. I'm happy with nice, caring, people with a good vibe, so I do thank you for something. This!
