If you are researching painters, look no further. I can't say enough good things about this…read morecompany. It was an absolute pleasure working with Mike and Esvin and I could list a dozen reasons why. The installation of our hardwood flooring was completed one day prior to the painting of the interior of our home. The company that installed our floors failed to inform us that the baseboards would need to be replaced in the areas where the carpeting was being removed. That company also informed us that it would be several weeks before they could get us on their schedule to get those installed. That same company that installed my flooring also caused damage to my kitchen ceiling. What an absolute nightmare. Until Esvin walked into my home. He saw that the baseboards would need to be replaced on the first floor before the walls could be painted. He offered to call people that he knew to see if they could work us in while the painters from ProTect started on the second floor. He then said he would call around so he could locate the exact paint color that the builder used on our ceilings five years ago so he and his men could repair the damage that was done. Esvin found a man that worked two nights straight removing the old baseboards and installing the new ones. Also, Esvin's crew patched and painted the ceiling, leaving no evidence that there was ever damage to begin with. Not only do you get the pleasure of working with these kind people, their crew of painters are amazing. They painted the interior of our 3,000sf home and the end result is beautiful, absolutely flawless. They also worked on a Sunday so they could be done prior to the delivery of seven rooms of furniture. And then they washed my floors. (Yep. They sure did.) Tomorrow they start on my 1600sf rental property and I know I will be thrilled with the end result. I can pretty much guarantee that Mike Felten, the owner, will make you and your project his top priority.

Freddy Painting - Before and after staining exterior house.

Freddy and his crew have worked on several painting projects for us. Ok, pretty much the whole…read morehouse. The first was the kitchen, family room, 2 story foyer, hall and bedrooms. The walls were dark and we were switching to a lighter color. It was done neatly and perfectly. Another project was our finished basement which had several patching repairs they fixed (thanks to our four kids) and made the walls and ceiling look like new. The interior of my home looks completely transformed. They work very efficently, meticulously and are painting pros. This week they came to paint our exterior. About a week before painting, they power washed it all. We have cedar siding that needed lots of caulking and prep before staining, and a ton of white trim. Again, they didn't disappoint. I had Freddy get the paint, match the color and he used all Benjamin Moore products. We have a really tall roofline that had trim that they painted. No problem for these guys. It looks crisp and better than new. Freddy's pricing is extremely reasonable and if you were to get several quotes I am pretty confident that his would come in well under the others. Updating through text and phone, he either starts the project exactly as scheduled or earlier. This may sound basic, but these guys want to work and for that reason I will always call him for our painting needs.

I thought their estimate for the work at my fourplex was fair because it was a huge job. I had them paint the exterior of the building which has four townhomes and also the decks of the fourplex. Friday even moved furniture off the decks because I wasn't given prior notice that he was coming early to give my tenants the heads up to remove their items. Freddy also repaired loose boards and replaced ones that were rotting. I was very satisfied with this company and their communication. I asked Freddy for a second quote on two more properties that I needed just trimwork repainted. However, I didn't feel their pricing was fair, compared to the other quotes I was receiving. I did end up contracting with my former painter on this job because his estimate was significantly less. Freddy was paid $2700 for the decks at my fourplex, but he wanted $4000 for trimwork on the current job. That wasn't working for me. I would try Freddy Painting again in the future to see if his quote would be fair like the first job. He did good work.

I had a wonderful experience with Victory1. I hired Victory…read more1 to paint a bedroom in my home. Full disclosure, I used the thumbtack app to find them. As per the apps bidding process, I heard from about 5 contractors that supplied me with estimates. Victory1 was the 2nd lowest price of all the bids and were highly communicative to boot. They were tasked with removing the old wall paper from 2 walls, removing the old brass light fixture and then painting 3 walls one color and 1 accent wall a differ y color. As well, we needed a fan installed and the ceiling as well as around the window trim painted as well. On the day in question, the painter and an assistant showed up and within a few minutes the painting was under way. The painters closed the door and worked diligently. I offered them water a couple times and they left around noon for lunch but other than that they were invisible. About 3:00 or so that afternoon the gentleman let me know they were done. And a beautiful job they did. The painter didn't speak a lick of English, lol. But using a Spanish to English translation app I was able to communicate with him and all went well, The original gentleman I had dealt with through the estimating process popped in on text a couple times to make sure all was well. This company did a really solid job. They were punctual, courteous and cleaned up after themselves when done. I will be hiring them again for my other bedrooms in a few months for sure,

My partner hired Victory 1 through Thumbtack. I want to start by giving credit where it is due: the…read morefloors in our home were done very well. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the painting. I wish I could upload photos with this review because they would make the issues much easier to understand. Victory 1 worked in our home for approximately three weeks during August. We were on a firm timeline because I had to be moved out of my apartment and into the house by September 1st, so having the work completed properly and on time was extremely important to us. We purchased an older home that had not been updated since the 1980s. Much of the house had heavily textured/"popcorn" walls, which we hired Victory 1 to remove and refinish before painting. We also had decorative framing removed from some of the walls. We understood that this would require significant prep work, patching, sanding, and smoothing before paint was applied. That is exactly why we hired professionals and paid thousands of dollars for the work. After approximately three weeks of work in our home, we are now left with a long list of issues that we will either have to correct ourselves or pay another professional to repair. * The walls were not properly finished after the texture and wall framing were removed. There are areas where you can still see where previous material or framing had been located, along with uneven patches and changes in the surface texture. Instead of the walls having a smooth, uniform appearance after being refinished, the preparation work is visible through the paint. * There are numerous rough, poorly finished inside corners. In several areas where two walls meet, there are thick, uneven ridges of joint compound/spackle that appear to have simply been painted over rather than sanded and finished into a clean corner. Some of these imperfections run vertically for a substantial portion of the wall and are extremely noticeable, especially when light hits them. * The original wood trim and baseboards were supposed to be left unpainted, yet paint and white joint compound/spackle were left on them throughout the house. This is especially frustrating because this is original woodwork that we specifically wanted to preserve. We now have to carefully remove dried material from the wood without damaging the existing finish. * The cut-in work around the baseboards, windows, and trim is extremely sloppy. There are visible gaps where the wall color stops short of the wood, areas of white material showing through, uneven paint lines, and other areas where the blue paint extends onto surfaces it should not have touched. We are now having to go back with a fine brush and correct these lines ourselves just to make them presentable. * The window areas were left particularly unfinished. There are corners with large amounts of white compound remaining, some painted over and some left exposed. Around other portions of the window trim, there are obvious unpainted lines and gaps between the painted wall and the original woodwork. * There are small pits, holes, and crater-like imperfections in multiple painted surfaces. Whether these resulted from the underlying wall preparation, application of the paint, or both, they should not have been left as part of a finished professional paint job. * The overall paint finish is uneven. In certain lighting you can see differences in the surface, visible patched areas, ridges, and other imperfections that should have been corrected during preparation rather than simply painted over. * Most concerning, the paint does not appear to be adhering or holding up normally. Light contact with some of the walls has already caused the paint to rub or come off in areas. We are being extremely careful around freshly painted walls, yet we already have places that need to be touched up. Considering what we paid, we should not be dealing with paint loss from ordinary, light contact immediately after the work was completed. What makes this especially disappointing is that these are not simply tiny imperfections that require getting inches away from the wall to notice. Many of them are plainly visible when walking through the rooms. We hired professionals specifically because removing textured walls and refinishing an older home requires more skill and preparation than simply rolling paint onto a wall. Again, the flooring work was done very well, and I want to be fair about that. But the painting and finish work did not reflect the quality we expected after spending thousands of dollars and having a crew working in our home for approximately three weeks. Instead of having a completed home, we are now faced with correcting paint lines, cleaning compound and paint from original woodwork, repairing poorly finished corners and wall surfaces, touching up damaged paint, and potentially having portions of the house professionally repainted.

Shortly after we moved into our home, we discovered leaks in the skylights that not only damaged the drywall but, as the water ran down the vaulted ceiling, left discolored marks as well. We fixed the leaks by replacing the roof and the skylights, and the time had come to finish the job. With 20 foot vaulted ceilings and a lot of woodwork, this was a job for a pro. We extended the job to include an entryway, two hallways and a stairwell that has the same 20 foot ceiling. We interviewed four contractors that were matched with us on a home service adviser web site, not totally impressed with any of them and completely appalled by two of them, when by a stroke of providence were we contacted by Brian Joseph Painting, who saw the job on the web site but was not matched with us. From the first time we met Brian, we were impressed. Not only was his demeanor professional yet friendly, he spotted damaged areas on our ceiling and walls that even I missed, he offered great advice on color selection AND he's a music lover. We were sold. To watch Brian and his team work was something to behold. These guys know their profession but they also seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. All of our floors were protected with drop cloths, all woodwork was masked and our furniture covered with plastic before one bit of Spackle or paint was applied. Even the nails from our artwork on the walls were carefully removed, wrapped in painter's tape, and hung close to the area where they were removed. That's attention to detail. Not to forget that Brian's pricing, materials included, was very competitive and within our budget. Our home now has a beautiful fresh face for Spring, and we are so very pleased with the results. Thanks to the Brian Joseph Painting team!

It needed to be power washed, scraped, primed, caulked, sealed and painted. This project was not going to be an easy undertaking for sure. After hearing good reviews from a friend, we contacted Ron from TNT Painting and Drywall for an estimate. He came out on site and gave us a written estimate for the work which was very fair and competitive with others that we've gotten. We chose TNT to do the job since the described process was above and beyond what most of the other companies were going to to do. Ron went above and beyond what was expected to make sure that we were happy before the job was determined to be completed and it was completed on time and ahead of our deadline. He used Premium Sherwin Williams paints and not just some generic crap paint for the job. We highly recommend Ron and TNT Painting and Drywall for your needs.
