If I could get away with leaving less than a star I would. Walked in looking to get a pair of referee pants hemmed and tailored for a semi-pro sport. Owner rolled his eyes and laughed at me, "it's just a sport, give me a break" as he laughed in my face in front of another customer. I won't give this place a cent of my money. Plenty of other places willing to take the $100 dollars this will cost to get done, not to mention all the other dry cleaning I use to walk through his door. Joke. Learn how to people. read more

Scam artist. Took my daughter's prom dress for alterations last year and she felt VERY uncomfortable to the point that when it was ready and time to try back on, she would not go by herself. Then it was time to pay and the price was OUTRAGEOUS! I chalked it up to being a prom dress and let it go. My sister then needed very minimal alteration done to a regular dress but with short notice. He charged her $200 just for a cup adjustment!!! I am disgusted that I recommended him to her and should have known better. If you decide to still go to him....get in writing AHEAD of time how much the charges will be. read more

The owner was kind and respectful when sizing me for a hem and taking in a bridesmaid dress. I had one week to get the alterations completed, and tried two other local places with no luck as both said they couldn't do it in time. I called perfect press and was assured it could be done and to come on over. I was given a last minute interview for a full time position at my Air Force base (I am in the National Guard). After just ranking up earlier this summer, my new rank patches weren't on my dress uniform yet, I needed it done within 48 hours. 2 other cleaners told me it could not be done, but I met Scott at the counter and he confidently assured me that my uniform would be done in time, and even kindly gave me interview tips! This was acceptable finished work to owner Scott after 3 return visits. If not brought to his attention repeatedly he was OK with this sloppy unprofessional work. Maybe good intentions but not a capable tailor( bad seamstress maybe) and devoid of patience when questioned. He put a brown button on a charcoal suit with black buttons, added a non matching belt loop and was paid to repair the sleeve lining and finish the sleeve. read more

I'm from out of town but came to Deptford for a wedding and had an emergency situation where my suit got ruined by some liquid in my luggage and I needed same-day dry cleaning on a Saturday before 3PM. After calling multiple dry cleaners that were closer to me, Scott picked up the phone at Perfect Press and assured me that he'd be able to help and to just come on over. Long story short, Scott has able to have my entire suit looking completely new by 1:30PM, and was incredibly nice and pleasant to interact with the whole way through! If I were a local, this would definitely become my go to place for the reliability, service and speed! read more

The did a pretty good job with the cleaning and did it pretty quickly. However, I will never go back. I had 4 standard, cotton dress shirts dry cleaned. I paid via credit card and the business owner told me the charge was $6.00. I paid and his card reader did not print a receipt, nor a credit card sign slip. I foolishly trusted that he would charge me $6.00 and asked for no receipt only to see a $10.00 charge on my cc activity. The $4 overcharge is not a big enough deal to dispute, but I will take my garments to another, more trustworthy cleaners in the future. read more

While it's certainly unfortunate, it's hardly unheard of for a dry cleaner to lose a shirt or two, but somehow these guys managed to lose TEN. Let that sink in... TEN. I can't imagine they were accidentally given to another customer---who wouldn't notice TEN wrong shirts. Well, what can I say? The stomach bug hit us... And, it hit us harrrrrd... and it also hit our comforter... and our sheets, and our bed pads, and our towels... Annnnnd, to the straw on the camel? We just moved into Heather Ridge apartments & the apartments, although equipped w/a washer & dryer, the machines are verrrry small and they can not handle the bug.... Scott, *I'm pretty sure that was his name* was a DOLL. He was our angel, in the middle of this human fluid party. Ewww. Ha. Now that we are out of this haze, he graciously took our trash bags of filthy, stinky, contagious-ridden laundry, and promised their return in a couple days. I am sure it is not the 1st time he has dealt w/stains & infections, but we wanted to extend our Thank You & in return, write a grateful review. We will DEFINITELY return. I recently got a coat of mine dry cleaned here. I also asked to get the zipper on the coat fixed. The guy said it would be ready on saturday, which was 5 days away. 5 days to dry clean and fix a zipper? okay. Anyway, I go get my coat on Sunday. They charged me $25 for the cleaning and the fix. So far so good. The wife and I were customers of Custom Cleaners of which we never had any problems. She just started going here because it's closer to the house. There doesn't seem to be any middle reviews, just the extremes 1 star or 5. So, you love them or hate them. I'm giving 3 stars because I don't yet know what my experience here is going to really be. The negative reviews were a bit concerning. I'll update this review in time as I continue to be a customer of Perfect Press Cleaners. Review updated to 5 Stars. Scott is a great guy, not perfect but pretty darn close! His continuing "press" pun intended to be perfect is what makes Perfect Press the perfect place. There is the occasional pressed in wrinkle but quickly remedied at just bringing it to his attention. He sized me up for pants and shirt alterations. I was skeptical at first because of how fast he measured me. However, the results were actually Perfect! Mind blowing Perfect! Give this guy a chance you won't regret it. The negative reviews? I don't see it. But as I had said he strives for perfection so, perhaps the negative reviews helped him to improve his service. So, if you've gone away from Perfect Press then go back! You'll be pleased. I haven't mentioned prices yet. Their prices are the most reasonable in the area. Great job Perfect Press! I'm here to stay. I've had good experiences here- They are one of the few places that I know of that still repair shoes. I've had 2 or 3 pairs of shoes repaired/livened up here in the past and they come out looking like new. Cheaper than buying a new pair of shoes! I was also able to get a specialty dress quickly altered as I needed it in 2 days. The alteration turned out great! I can't speak for their dry cleaning service but there was quite a lot of items being dry cleaned so I'm sure it is good. read more

I brought my daughter needed her Prom gown altered. She only wanted the top altered and leave the gown long. Scott said the bottom of the gown needed to be cut 8 inches. This would have altered the look of the gown. He is certainly entitled to his opinion. I don't mind he gave it HOWEVER when we disagreed he insulted my teen daughter. He said"You look ridiculous! Everyone is going to laugh at you! You should be embarrassed to wear the gown like that!" Begged him to stop with his insults-He wouldn't stop. He told me I should help her by telling her he was right.We left with my daughter crying. I can't believe anyone would be this cruel to a woman and her daughter. read more

Horrible Service! Was promised my clothing back on a certain day & was lied to repeatly on when it would be done only to find out my clothing was not even in the building! I wanted to pick my clothing up since it was taking so long & was told my stuff was not here, I was told "it's wherever he works on everything" I couldn't get a straight answer out of anyone & of course the owner, Scott was conveniently not in. They guy that runs this place has bipolar disorder. One minute he's talking sports with you, the next he's screaming at you. He misplaced a couple of dress shirts and gave me the run around saying they may be at his other locations. When 3 weeks went by and I asked for refund and replacement $ for lost clothing per his terms of service, he started pulling out all kinds of shady rules and regulations hidden behind the dusty counter. He then became very aggressive and charged at me. When I threatened to call the police he crumbled 2 $20 bills and threw them at me. He shouldn't own a business, he should own a prescription for lithium. read more

I went there to ask about getting a couple of pairs of shoes repaired. The walls are full of sports memorabilia and make the environment extremely unprofessional. Scott, the owner, referred to the female customer in front of me as Momma (she looked to be the same age range as Scott), which was also a red flag, but I waited for my turn and asked about my shes. I asked by what process the bottoms of my shoes could be fixed, and when I asked for further clarification and what the cost would be, he began insulting me, implying that I was stupid, mentally ill, etc. He also said that it wouldn't cost me anything because I would pretend not to be happy with the work just so I could get the work done for free, as that was my real motive. When I'd asked him about my 2nd pair of shoes which needed new soles, he told me "There's a trash can over there, just throw your shoes in the trash." Since he had taken and tagged my first pair of shoes, I asked what hours he was open. He rattled them off and when I picked up a business card to write them down, he grabbed the card away from and said, "I just told you, you cant remember THAT?" For a visit that lasted all of about 5 mins, this was the most abusive customer experience I've ever had. He was yelling and extremely aggressive. The look in his eye seemed like something was not right, or maybe it was straight out cruelty. POOR customer service. Save yourself if you think this dry cleaners is convenient if you live in the local area because its not convenient when your clothes aren't ready on the scheduled date. Not once but multiple times this happen to me and the smug owner acts as if its no big deal for you to just come back another day. And to add to the POOR experience of not delivering on the scheduled date of delivery for my dry cleaning one of my items was lost and the owner excepted no fault or reimbursement. Absolutely poor customer service. Save yourself the aggravation.
