When she came to meet us for the first time you can tell that she is really an animal lover! She was went over everything that she was going to do and how she was going to take care of my 2 very large and crazy dogs. This was not even the best part. While I was out of town she sent me a thorough explanation of how her visit was and everything that she had done with the dogs! Best part is she sent 3 pictures with every visit so we could see how happy the dogs were. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs the dogs walked while you have a long day at the office or if you are going out of town for any period of time! She was great and i will be using her sooner than later!

Every person we've encountered has been compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They take the time to listen, explain things clearly, and treat both the animals and their people with kindness and respect. During our time here we have had to say goodbye to our beloved dog Chip who was my children's best friend for 15 years again always took great care of him and lovingly helped him pass. Recently we lost our Sarge who very suddenly had a medical emergency and needed to be let go. The entire episode was very traumatic for us but again I could not have asked for anything more of the staff. I now have two pups that they very thoroughly care for and treat us all professionally and with utmost care. It's a hard job to work with people and pets on some of their most difficult moments but they handle those with the same grace and care as the best days!

The vet I had was nervous around my 20 pound dog and held a plastic shield in front of his face while she examined him.. She did no testing and just "assumed" what it might be, started him on antibiotics, and told me to come back in 2 weeks for a recheck. My second visit was for a cyst drainage, when I called to make the appointment that is what I REQUESTED! When we got there the vet was not friendly whatsoever, held my dogs collar so tight I thought she was going to choke her, and stated they did not do cyst drainage and immediately resorted to scheduling our dog for surgery. Our dog is 15!!! Why would we want our 15 year old dog to have surgery? Why would you want to perform surgery on a 15 year old dog? When we said no she said okay I'll write your note and you're free to go. They then tried to charge us for a nail trim we requested but never received. I also questioned why I was even able to make an appointment for something they don't do? They essentially told me that their secretaries are not educated and that I should have been called back by a tech. Why was it not caught before I came? Do they not have a schedule? Can they not see what the appointments are for? I believe they wanted to keep the appointment so that they could still get paid and then schedule a surgery to be paid that way as well. I wasted my time, my money, and put my dog through an uncomfortable car ride at her age for nothing. I will not be returning to this vet and I will NEVER RECOMMEND to any one I know.

We've used this vet from time to time just because it's the closest to us. While there are some…read morefriendly people in the office, more often than not we are met with judgement and ridicule. Because or dog has sensitivities to ingredients in commercial foods and a propensity for liver issues (breed trait) we raw feed a diet of duck and rabbit. One moment they will tell us he's the healthiest dog they've seen and the next after hearing of his diet excoriate us and tell us we're going to kill him and should put him on kibble. They also double vaccinated him for rabies on accident, it is what it is. But when we ask for antibody test (which is required for international travel) we get nothing but judgement and sh*t talked behind our back....where we can hear it! The tldr is they are more focused on selling you prescriptions and prescription foods than the actual health of your pet. At the end of the day it's a business and that's cool, but shady practices and attitude ruin this place.

It's wayyyy worse than that financially for the time being- that said- my therapy cat. Marley, started sneezing quite often and I noticed she was shedding white flakes constantly mostly coming off of her back. I called local veterinary clinics and my jaw dropped literally dropped when I heard the office visit is ONLY $59!!! I think all I responded with after hearing that was sign us up LOL! The office staff is wonderful, polite, and sincere! They worked around my schedule but were still able to get my baby girl Marley in the same week I called! The office was clean, and the staff were all exceptionally kind, informative, and patient. My cats are my literal children- my son calls them his two sisters so they're precious to us and so I get uber anxious whenever I'm unable to help them and I know they're uncomfortable. We only had to wait a few minutes after check in, and after the first visit initial paperwork. I was a visible nervous wreck! The technician came in and discussed Marley's symptoms with me, all while remaining professional and kind. Not even ten minutes after the tech had left, the Veterinarian came in all smiles, and began our conversation with what was going on with Marley, potential causes, etc. The Veterinarian listened to all of my questions carefully with a smile on her face, and was eager to reassure me on ease of Marley's care, causes, even things I can do from home to help my girl! She knew her stuff, too! I cannot say enough good things about Muddy Creek Veterinary Clinic in Butler, Pa (on William Flynn HWY)! I also can say with confidence even though one may shop around getting potential quotes on care and medication? There was not ONE other clinic that could even come close to the reasonable prices for my Marley's care at Muddy Creek! I'll never go anywhere else! I urge you to give this clinic a try! You won't regret it- just as I haven't!

After a general exam, the vet immediately noticed that the cat had a bad canine tooth that was damaged. I mistakenly thought the cat was born with a snaggle tooth. The vet set up an appointment for the Vet that works on dental (who is only there on certain days). The dental Vet has her own practice in another County but comes up to this one once or twice a week. I came back with the cat in hand for the appointment Granted, I walked in while wearing paint stained DIY project clothes on. I looked indigent a little. The dental vet said that the canine needed to come out and I should take her to a facility that has dental X-rays like her pet clinic in St Mary's County. She gave the name of 2 clinics in Calvert County that should have dental X-ray machines. She could however just try to yank out the tooth now if I didn't have the means to do this. It would be cheaper. I thanked her and told her we would go to a place with dental X-rays. I called and went ALL over Calvert County looking for a vet with DENTAL X-rays. Not one exists in Calvert County. My wife ended up getting the procedure done at another vet.
