Dr. Giordano works miracles. I'm convinced…read more He began treating both of my sons three years ago. My youngest had the less complicated case, and was finished in 1.5 years. His teeth look beautiful! He never once complained about going to the office because Dr. G. and the staff are really friendly, kind, and gentle with the kids. My oldest son has autism. I was very concerned about him because of sensory issues. But he ended up doing even better with his treatment than my youngest did! This was all due to a very personal, understanding, hands-on approach by Dr. G. He directed information and comments about what was going to happen, or has happened, to my son and treated him as he should: like a teenager who has the right to know what is going on with him physically; like a teenager who needs to take charge of his own health. My son notices when he is treated age-appropriately and respectfully and responds in kind. I had been very sad to learn that my oldest's teeth were a complete mess, or an "involved case," as Dr. G. referred to it. Of all kids to have so many problems going on! He even had a tooth stuck in his palate toward the back of his mouth! But with the wonders of oral surgery and skilled orthodontic treatment, you would never know that tooth was ever up there. It is right where it belongs now! He just got his braces off a couple of weeks ago after 3 years of treatment, and his teeth look amazing! Side notes: I paid the same amount for both boys and was told that no matter what the treatment involved, the price is the same. I am quite sure that what Dr. G. did for my older son went far beyond "the usual" orthodontic treatment! Also, the wait time in the office is very reasonable. Even if the waiting area is packed, we never have to wait an unusual amount of time for the kids to get called in. The staff is also very understanding of the fact that I occasionally come in late because my oldest son is coming from a school a half an hour away (traffic). I can't thank Dr. Giordano enough for the stellar work he has done with both boys - especially my oldest!

We are parents in the medical and dental fields, and we were having a problem deciding on an…read moreorthodontist for our child who has some difficult and major orthodontic problems. We had had consulted and discussed our child's case with more orthodontists than we anticipated, and received conflicting treatment plans. Not expecting a resolution, we acted on a recommendation to see Drs. Chan and Chen. These are our experience: 1. They had a busy schedule, but Dr. Chen stayed after hours to see us. She spent more than an hour explaining her findings and recommendations. To use our child's favor phrase "Who does that?" We are health care providers, so we know that this is one hallmark of a doctor who truly cares. 2. Dr. Chen is super knowledgeable. By now we have read volumes of orthodontic textbooks and articles. We have no clinical experiences in orthodontics, but we know much more about orthodontics than maybe the average parent. Dr. Chen's findings were consistent with what we understood about our child's problems and more. Her recommendations were detailed and addressed all of our concerns. Her treatment details not only agreed with the textbooks and research findings, in areas where there were controversies Dr. Chen was able to offer very sincere and clear recommendations. She was not dogmatic about her recommendations but able to offer clear explanations and good alternatives. Orthodontics is very much an art as much as it is a science, and Dr. Chen excels in both. She also offered her experiences in treating her own son about the very same problems as our child had. How reassuring is that? 3. The stuff, from Teri at the front desk to Tori the assistant, were super friendly and helpful. Our child is shy, and they made her feel comfortable throughout her appointments. 4. The office is clean, professional, and parking is easy. We drive a long distance to see Dr. Chen. We decided that she was our child's orthodontist and was worth the extra driving. 5. The practice uses advanced technologies. For example, the xray is digital. Radiation exposure is a concern for us, and digital xray has low radiation. Dr. Chen was so accommodating. She didn't mind using the xrays we got from another office to lessen the radiation exposure to our child. They use digital impression to scan their patients' teeth instead the old fashion impressions. This allows more accurate impressions and comfort for their patients. I could go on and on about how wonderful this office and Dr. Chen are. We are looking forward to getting the best orthodontic results for our child with Dr. Ivy Chen. I will update our experience, and everything so far tells us that we will have more wonderful things to say about this orthodontic practice. We are looking forward to meeting Dr. Chan, who also will be seeing our child. Getting two doctors with their combined experiences and knowledge? Where else could you get that?
