We have been dealing with this company for a year, this month. Finally, the manager returned our call last week but kept reminding us we signed a contract and it was binding. The thing is, we discovered they broke the contract when they didn`t put the color of gutters on our house that were stated by them in the original contract. We didn`t know they had messed up because the color we recieved is what we assumed was the one we chose and the one stated in the contract. Without showing us color samples there was no way for us to know this wasn`t the case. This past spring the gutters and filters they chose for us, even after we explained why we disagreed with their choice for both, didn`t do the job adequately. The rains flooded our patios and ran down our screens and into our porch. They company finally replaced the gutter for 6" and gave us new filters mid-summer but the gutters are not the prior color from 2024. It seems they are the color stated in the original contract that we signed. The workmen noticed the color change and questioned it. We didn`t realize the first color wasn`t the color we had chosen so were as confused and those working on the project. The company is expecting us to pay for the difference in price of the larger gutters and new filters, and keep the color we didn`t select even though they are the ones who called all the shots and didn`t do as we asked from the very beginning. Again, we want it known, the installers and office personnel have done a fantastic job! No complaints from us where they are concerned.It is the man in a higher up position of manager that is the problem. read more

These people are predators who prey on older people forcing them to pay an inflated price for work that is not so small it should only cost $5000. Still, they are charging us $12000. I called and told them within the 3 days to say I did not want to continue with this project but they insisted that we did not stop them soon enough and they already purchased the material which I believe was a lie. Still having siding pieces fall off my house in high winds! Hired another company to fix it. I paid a lot of money and so much trouble with Perfect Choice I would never recommend them to even people I hate! And on top of all that their telemarketers keep calling and calling me to sell me bathroom remodels that I don't want and would never have them do regardless! They harassed me for the last time as I filed an FCC complaint for remark wrong harassment as I tell them every time to take me off their call list. Also the BBB said they are NOT MEMBERS!! As many other "victims" have stated, I also have been getting SEVERAL Sales CALLS PER DAY for the past 6 months soliciting their services. They change the last 3 digits of their phone number on caller id: (815) 559-2XXX (Spoofing?). I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling me. I am on the do not call list. I have consistently blocked their numbers and have downloaded 2 additional apps to block them from calling me but they somehow bypass the blocks and ramp up the calls. I have reported them to the FCC. My next step is to pursue legal action against them for the repetitive, disruptive and annoying calls them refuse to stop. read more

We have had Perfect Choice put roofs on two different houses and both times they were professional, along with being efficient, and their cleanup of the area was excellent. They were very considerate of the landscaping around both houses and did not harm any plants or greenery. We will definitely use this company again. read more

Well, it all started out great.... Web came to our home was very knowledgeable and gave us the estimate. We agreed and signed up for a complete tear off and replace on our 1890's Victorian home. We paid cash $30k. Crew showed up, tore off and replaced in one day! Then, we noticed an area where osb wasn't installed. They came back and ripped off that section and reroofed. We soon discover holes on our flat roof (that didn't require roofing). During the tom Al of the old roof what was thrown off, caused these "puncture" holes. We reached out since the holes caused leaks in our laundry room. They agreed to have crew come out to do patch work but said it could've been from storms and fallen branches.. Both house and near by tree have been here 100 plus years and it hadn't happened.. . The patch didn't work. It leaked so severely that it ruined the wainscoting ceiling and we had to rip it all out. I emailed twice and was told "I'll need to check ". That was May 2nd. I would think that after paying cash in the amount we did would result in a response and remediation. Apparently not. My mother is still struggling to get issues addressed with a stand up shower she had installed Nov of 2021. Over $12,000 paid in full and she still has a shower door that doesn't line up with the frame or base and leaks. We feel totally helpless. They show up, half handle the issue then complain we keep asking for help. I hope they read this recommendation and reach out to make it right. It has been more than a year. The salesman also reeked of pot when he arrived at our house. It was very unprofessional. Just a horrible company. I would not ever recommend them to anyone at all. My mother in law hired them to do her bathroom and for 13000 dollars all she got was a tub and a shower head and shower rod that was way to high for her to even reach. It's super sad that she paid that much money for the little work that they did. They also said it would be a 2 day job but ended up being 15 days and left us with out a shower so we had to go to her daughters house just to get a shower. This is the worst construction company to ever hire! Our mother in law hired this company to redo her bathroom. $12,000 dollars later the job was not finished and we had to hire another contractor to finish the job! First off the Salesperson lied to get the job! Nothing that he sold to my mother in law was what we ordered! The job was shut down by the city of Pekin for no plumbing licenses in the city! They hired a new plumber, that installed the shower spout at 83.5 inches from the bottom of the tub. My my mother in law is 5'2 and the workers were reminded many times to install at lower end of the ADA requirement. We have had to add a 3' extension to wand for her to use the pull out. The underlay board is OSB not cement water resistant and is cut to where the edge is jagged. AKA quarter round to hide the mistake! Oh by the way, We ordered an over size soaker tub. We caught their mistake and were charged an additional $100 restocking fee due to the tub and wall was not what we ordered! We went several times to the company and sat in the office to talk to the owner or anyone that runs the place. After an hour of waiting, the receptionist gave us a cell number and a promise that he will call! Good luck on ever receiving that call! Here is a few pictures of what they left and they actually took the extra supplies we bought to finish wall. To add injury to a big scab, the installer put the shower rod so high that the 84" shower curtain is so high that it does not stay into tub when you take a shower and water runs outside the tub! Thank you to Fitch Remodeling to fix this nightmare! I will tell everyone that I know or see about the reaming this company gave to a elderly woman that just lost her husband! This company used a subcontractor to complete my roof, the derecho came the same day they tore the roof off.... it literally rained inside my house. Almost every ceiling has damage, new couch has damage, insulation, drywall, everything damaged! Perfect choice assured me they would take care of it and they have insurance. After not hearing from them for weeks, I had to call and they said I had to file a claim with my insurance to go after the subcontractor. GUESS WHAT.... I hired Perfect Choice, not the subcontractor. From the first day they showed up to the last day they walked off, it was a horrible experience...The crew was not equipped to remove the old siding off of our house, and the man in charge of the crew asked me to Google a pawn shop so he could purchase a ladder big enough to do the job. Then after tearing off half the siding on my house that they could reach on the only ladder they had, the salesman shows up and tells us that they're walking away from the job, that it's too big for them to handle and he's embarrassed to say so. HORRIBLE company. They were paid to do a roof and driveway for my niece and her grandparents. Instead of tearing off like they were paid to do they just covered everything and did a poor job at that. Two weeks later the dumpster was still in the driveway. After the "bossman" visited and guaranteed his guys would take care of this he then said he couldn't find his crew. Now after numerous calls to rectify this situation they are now refusing to do the driveway. They are giving an out of state number so customers don't know they are located in Creve Coeur. Nothing in the contract was done correctly. I find it HORRIBLE that they do business like this. I want to preface this review by saying that we are renters, and the home we are renting has not been taken care of, and had been left empty for several years prior to our moving in. However, that is no reason or excuse for the level of service which we received. This company was hired by our landlord, and obviously all of the primary information went though our landlord. The only communication the roofers had with us were little questions during the job, or asking us if they could use a certain outlet to power their tools. "Perfect Choice Exteriors" certainly did not care to work very much. They came late in the morning, and left in the very early afternoons. Sometimes, only working for an hour or two at a time. They worked on our roof for probably a combined total of 2 full working days. Although, the dumpster blocked our drive way for a total of 7 or 8 days. There was a 4 day stretch (2 of them being working business days) where they never came and worked...nor did they contact us. Since leaving the job, there is a ton of garbage, plastic, and roofing tiles left strewn about our yard and driveway. Not to mention I have thus far picked up about 50 nails. Without exaggerating. I understand that strewn nails are kind of in the package of having your roof re-done, but this is absurd. Most of them even have this orange safety washer around the head of the nail...impossible to miss...and completely left behind. There is no possible way the company even tried to canvas our driveway with a metal detector, or their bare eyes for that matter, and collect the stray nails. I understand and respect the fact that we did not hire this company, nor did we directly pay for this service. Although, by paying our rent monthly, we did fund this service. We do contribute financially for these types of repairs to be made - and this is simply terrible. The day this company finished their job and left, I ripped up their sign from my yard and vowed to not advertise for them. I would have removed it whilst they were still "working", but I was afraid they would try and stick another sign in my yard. And it was no easy task to pull that out of the ground either - so I just waited until they were no longer coming back. I will never recommend this company. Very disrespectful, messy, careless, and failure to communicate. Came across very lazy, and the mess will just not leave my mind. I have seen reconstructed homes leave less mess. I have seem total demolitions leave behind less mess than this mere roof on less than a 1,000 sq ft home. read more

THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRENDOUS Just a follow up on my last communication with Perfect Choice Exteriors - I called on 2-8-17 and was told by Scott not to call anymore..no-one wants to take my call and there is nothing they can do. So despite the fact that my contract says payment between $160 & $180 I am stuck with the $240 payment. Too bad so sad for me..I will however make sure that every person i know is aware of this company and of how they treated me As the previous review will show we were very happy with perfect choice exteriors. However somethings have come to light that warrants me to reevaluate the company. . It is actually written in our contract that the payments will be between $160 & $180. December comes around and my bills are $240. I have called 7 times since Dec 16th 2016 to get this straightened out. In late December I received a call back from Scott who told me that Lee was in Florida for the holidays and that he would get back to me in early January. Fast forward to February 1st 2017 and 5 non returned calls and still no solution. I am going to have to say that even if this problem gets solved soon I will still only give them 1/2 star. Which is a shame because the workers who did our roof were fantastic. But the workers don't run the company, the managers do. The following is the original review: We were contacted by kenneth minton because Perfect Choice Exteriors installed our neighbors roof. Set up an appointment with him to go over cost and approximate date of installation. We told Kenneth that we would not be able to include any roofing payments until december.,when our car would be paid off. Not only did he make arrangements for our first payment to be delayed until december but he gave us a discount also. We figured that since our payment would not be due until december that it would be late summer early fall before we would get our roof. Boy we were wrong . We signed the contract on 5-24-16 and on 6-7-16 we got a call that if convenient with us they could be there the next day. Wednesday morning 5 or 6 people showed up and went to work. I could not believe how fast they tore off the old roof and installed the new one. On Thursday all they had to do was nail the shingles down, they got rained on a few times but by mid afternoon they were done. We did a walk around with the foreman of the crew. Took the crew three days to do s garage roof. A 20 ft by 24 ft. Hip roof . That was just to shingle it . They were late , they didn't clean up. They left nails and pieces of shingles on roof. The caps are crooked as hell . Forgot to install rid vent. Had to wait 2 weeks to get soffit done. Then they came to the 4 square add on of the house. They installed the wrong color shingles's. Had to argue with them on correcting that problem. All together it took them 3 months to put down 9 square of shingles. I was told countless times be there in the morning. And no one would show up. The contractors they have are very poor. I went to there office on several occasions. Basically got BS. I would never use the company again. I would not use them if the offered to do the job for free. The mental anguish alone of being lied to by almost every contractor that showed up to do the job. Do NOT purchase Pitcher Perfect windows. We purchased their 'lifetime warranty' windows, and they only lasted 5 years before the seal gave way and the panes are fogged in between. When we called them, they said they are willing to fix them but we must pay for their labor. Shoddy, shoddy, product. Feel totally ripped off. We had a terrible experience with this company three years ago. They ordered the wrong window, and the repair man always had some excuse for why he couldn't make it for our scheduled appointment. This happened 3 times. My husband would come home from work to meet the guy, and he wouldn't show up or cancel last minute. Also, they did a terrible job installing the window in one of our bedrooms. It leaked, and greasy handprints were left all over the wall surrounding the window. We were hardly given an apology and no discounts for the terrible service. In fact, they acted like we were nuts for asking for one. We finally just decided to pay them full price to get them out of our hair, as this process took way longer than it should have. Three years later, they are still calling us every couple months to see if we want more services. We have asked them to stop calling at least 5 times. They did a great job cleaning up every night before leaving and maintained a clean working area through out the project. DO NOT HIRE! We had a roof replaced late in the fall of 2014, and had a horrible experience, first, with the roofing team putting the roof on our house, then with the service team after it was reported to be done incompetently. The roofing team was late every day, left nails and debris all over our yard, and when I called to complain, the roofing foreman came to the door the next night after they were done for the day, and promised the job would be complete the next morning and everything would be cleaned up. He said he had to fire a couple of guys and he was sorry about the problem. I give him credit for coming to the door to explain- but that is it. He did not keep his word on anything, did not show up until at least 11am every day. It took an additional 2 days to complete the work, nails were all over the yard, and then left the dumpster in our driveway for one full week after the job was complete. When the dumpster was removed, nails and debris, left under the dumpster, were left in our driveway. They also left their sign in our yard. Fast forward three months, our family was relocated for work outside of the state, and we were selling our house. The house sold in one week, but after the inspection came back, the buyers declined the purchase because the structural damage caused by the inept work on the roof. We called Perfect Choice Exteriors to follow up and check the roof for any structural damage which was reported. The same foreman who completed the roof the first time, said the roof was fine just a few shingles blown off the roof. We asked for a tarp to be put over the area. They indicated it was not necessary, but after my insistence, put a tarp on the roof. We called for and paid for an independent inspection to be done. The independent inspector said the shingles were put on in too cold of weather and nails had gone right through the shingles, the work was done too quickly and there were holes in step flashing, missing step flashing and nails exposed without any kind of sealant. The pipe boot also is damaged. We called the city inspector to come out to do an inspection and, apparently, Perfect Choice Exteriors had never applied for a permit in the city to do the work. From 2000 miles away, we had to stay in daily contact with the Perfect Choice Exteriors team, to follow up on the work expected to be completed. The final exhibit of unprofessionalism was the email from Angela their Operations Manager, who wrote this was our fault because we didn't look at the contract. A former colleague, who is an insurance property adjuster did the final inspection to ensure the work is done to standard of practice guidelines. IT TOOK 35+ days for them to go back out and have the roof repaired, with us checking in everyday. We lost the sale of our home in Illinois because of this issue and have had two additional inspections to ensure the mistakes of Perfect Choice Exteriors were corrected. read more

They were ordered to stop work and it has been 2 months and still no permit. Also started another project in my home and still has not finished it. They have all the excuses possible. Do not have sanding tools with them. So they have to stop working early. (They just wanted to quit early on a holiday weekend) they do not show up when they are suppose to. I would not use this company. I set an appointment and they called and confirmed the times with me the day before. They showed up 2 hours early. I work from home, so I was there, but I was WORKING which is why I set the appointment after work hours. I told the two men that showed up what I was looking for, and they did some measuring and gave me a quote. I made it clear I would be doing my due diligence and had other companies that I would consider. This clearly irritated one of them. He implied that if I don't sign the papers, the price would change. He even gave me an example, and said "see, now it costs this much, instead. We can make the price whatever we want." The other associate was annoyed by this, but they kept pressing. Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience with this company. We had a roof put on and it was bad service and follow up from the beginning. According to an email I received, from their Operations Manager, the foreman from our project was fired. The service and response from this woman was well below professional and the entire process of the complaint was their office trying to blame us, their customer, for the errors in what they did in response. Since my last review this company still continues to call even after telling them over and over that I do not want them to call our home anymore, they have continued to do so on numerous times. Pressure sales calls! The estimator showed up and said he was filling in after a day of golf. He acted a little like he had been drinking. He showed up with a yellow pad of paper and didn't write anything down. He said he needed some light and 5 minutes to put together an estimate. This was just an excuse to get in the house and continue the general sales call. He spent 15-30 sec and scribbled one thing on his yellow pad - $7780 for an all new roof - when all I had was a minor leak! He wrote down my email and promised to send me quote. It did not arrive, so two days later I called the office and they said they would NOT give me a quote unless my wife was there! What if I was single? Every time we receive a call, they are asked not to call again and informed that we are registered on the national registry. In one of the calls, the girl told me that I didn't need to be so rude.
