As a player on a competitive pool team that plays here every week, I'm honestly beyond frustrated…read morewith Rack & Tap. The music is absurdly loud. This isn't just "a little loud" -- it's often over 90 dB, which is nightclub-level volume. When it's that loud you cannot hear the person standing next to you without yelling. Teammates can't communicate, captains can't talk to players, and calling shots becomes ridiculous because no one can hear anything. Pool is a game that requires concentration and communication. When the music is blasting like a nightclub, it completely ruins the environment for the people who are actually there to play league. Unfortunately, the volume has reached a point where it's not just annoying -- it's unhealthy. Prolonged exposure to sound levels over 90 dB can cause hearing damage, and after dealing with it week after week I'm being forced to stop playing here because of the sound levels. It's incredibly frustrating to show up every week knowing you're going to spend the entire night yelling just to talk to your own teammates while also worrying about your hearing. Rack & Tap needs to decide what it wants to be -- a pool hall for league players or a nightclub with pool tables in the way -- because right now it's doing a poor job of being either.

It's a good place to have a beer and hangout. The bartenders go out of their way to make sure…read moreyou're taken care of.

First time at Barrel & Bones and overall, I had a really solid experience. The service was…read moregreat--friendly, attentive, and on point from the moment I walked in. The food? Also good. You can tell they take pride in their BBQ; everything had that smoky, flavorful kick you hope for. I'm giving it 4 stars because while I appreciated the idea of an all day happy hour (huge plus), the execution fell a little short. They had a whole wall listing the options, but none of the usual go-tos like well drinks or anything comparable. The selection felt a bit too curated and didn't offer much range for casual drinkers or folks just wanting something simple. That said, I'll definitely be back to try more off the menu--just might skip the happy hour next time unless they expand the options.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for lunch--parking is easy in the garage around the corner, so…read moreoff to a great start. But then we walked in... and were greeted by a faint, but very unfortunate odor. Not overpowering, but definitely lingering--like a bathroom situation gone mildly wrong. My favorite bar used to have this smell, and it turned out to be the pipes. And yeah, pipes are a pain to fix... but no one wants to eat while catching whiffs of mystery funk. We sat at the bar (no purse hooks, missed opportunity there), and I quickly realized I'd been to another location of this spot before. Hubbs and I split the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese & burnt ends - a real winner!! Also we split a brisket sandwich with sausage, subbing loaded potatoes for fries. The sandwich and the potatoes were flavorful but the bun on the sandwich was cold like it came out of the fridge, and the potatoes could definitely have been hotter (they were slightly warm, but definitely not hot). Unfortunately, I'm just not the kind of gal who sends things back to the kitchen either, sooo... The real highlight? Denise, our awesome bartender. She was sweet, attentive, and had all the best recommendations. The locals clearly love her--she knew their orders before they even sat down. When we mentioned the smell, she claimed she didn't notice it but said it's likely the pipes and would pass it along to the owner. So here's the deal: the food is solid, the service is stellar... but dear owner, we know you know about this issue. Please, for the love of burnt ends and loaded potatoes, fix the pipes

Cafe Game Room & Billiards isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience. The moment you walk in,…read moreyou're hit with the perfect mix of energy and comfort: the sound of billiard balls cracking, laughter from the game room, and the smell of incredible food coming straight from the kitchen. The menu is stacked with crave-worthy favorites--fresh burgers, loaded fries, wings, and late-night comfort food that somehow tastes even better between games. Drinks are always cold, portions are generous, and everything feels designed for sharing, hanging out, and staying way longer than planned. The game room is next-level. Immaculate billiards tables, arcade games, and big screens everywhere make it the go-to spot for friendly competition or laid-back nights with friends. Whether you're there to play, eat, or just soak in the vibe, it always feels alive. Cafe Game Room & Billiards is the kind of place where strangers become regulars, regulars become friends, and one visit turns into a routine. Come hungry, come competitive, and don't be surprised if it becomes your new favorite spot. Want it shorter, more edgy, more family-friendly, or Instagram-style?

But once we settled in and got a table toward the back, we were all good. The staff is friendly and mostly speaks Spanish. Alejandra makes sure you're taken care of. Inside there are over a dozen tables of worn but good quality. You pay by the hour $10. Great price! The beers were a great price too. Coronas at $3. Next time I'll get a bucket. Make no mistake, this place is no-frills dive pool hall with a small bar, late night grill for tacos and quesadillas, very popular jukebox, loud speaker system, and a 10x10 dance floor that gets packed in the late hours. Inside is dark and quirky with plastic tropical plants, mirrors, tvs playing mostly soccer from around the world, and various bench seating arrangements. The bar was limited - so don't expect Tito's, copper goblets or anything but tequila and beer options. The ladies room lacked hand soap. There were no lines and the bathrooms were cleaned regularly. We hope to come back again!
