His fee for the repairs was reasonable and he was quick to do the repairs. He received payment in full two weeks before the 30 day due date. So far So Good, Right? Wrong. I also explained to Carlos that we were on a very tight budget right now - the sprinklers are old and need to be replaced - we just cannot afford to do that right now. I asked him if he would provide front and back yard care once a week, including hand watering the lawn, until we are able to get the property rented. He quoted me a monthly rate of $100.00 and understood that this was a temporary situation. He said he would be happy to start the first week of July 2012. THAT was the last I ever heard from him. I emailed him on 7/09/2012 and also called him to check in and see how things were going. He has not returned ANY of my email messages or my phone calls. The next week, my sister arrived at the property to find our front lawn dead, and a large, thriving Lilac bush, and a small, struggling Dogwood Tree in the front entry planter completely dead. Until this happened, I was willing to give him 5 stars on yelp. Unfortunately, Carlos Hernandez, Owner of Advanced Landscape Management in Visalia, CA IS NOT someone I can recommend. All he had to do is call me back, explain that he could not provide the service after all, and I could have easily found someone else to do the job.
