The door was locked when I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment.There was a session going. Within just a few minutes my therapist came to the door. The check in was quick, and we started right on time. After a week of sitting at the beach and sleeping in a condo bed my lower back was killing me I was so stiff I felt like I could hardly move. She did a great job working the stiffness out of my low back, and also getting my shoulders to release; I didn't even realize they were so bad. I did a 90 minute deep tissue, and it was the perfect level of hurts so good. I mentioned that I like to get my hands and feet done. The foot massage was top-of-the-line. She used hot towels to relax my muscles in the very tense areas and also on my feet. At the end of the massage she cleaned the excess oil off of my feet with more hot towels. Overall a very therapeutic and relaxing experience. The place is small but very nicely done. I did not hear any outside noise. She had a fan as well as music and the temperature was perfect. The bathroom was spotless.

Most places said they only do Swedish (relaxing) massages but I needed an extremely deep tissue service. She practices in the salon located in the same shopping center at the jellyfish restaurant. She was ready when I walked in, it was smaller salon area but I wasn't too worried about that. She showed me into her room, it was welcoming, and asked some 'get to know you' questions. I work in a similar industry so she understood my pain and how to get rid of it. The 90 minute service was exactly what I needed for the stiffness. Towards the end of the service, she worked on my feet. I was so focused on my shoulder stiff was from the start that I didn't realize how much my feet and ankles were also sore.

This was supposed to be a relaxing hour for her. I booked her massage with Tina because she had great reviews! First, Tina rescheduled the time of my mom's massage the day of without calling first to confirm that the time worked for her. When my mom called to see if she could reschedule for a different week instead, she didn't answer and texted back saying they actually could take her at the original time she was scheduled. As frustrating as that was, my mom still went to the appointment where she was brought back and informed THEN that she was scheduled with a different masseuse rather than being notified when they texted her. A simple explanation that they could take my mom at her original scheduled time but with a different masseuse would have sufficed. Still, my mom stayed and got a massage from this male masseuse that she didn't get the name of, otherwise I would tell you to avoid him at all costs if you do decide to come here. Although she was scheduled for a DEEP TISSUE massage, my mom described the pressure of the massage equivalent to my six year old sister giving her a massage. Massages are supposed to be quiet and relaxing, and this masseuse spoke the ENTIRE TIME and spoke with his hands, so her massage in total was probably 30 minutes. I paid $90 for a relaxing deep tissue massage, and my mom received a 30-minute back rub. And instead of using a massage oil, they used a thick dollar-tree feeling lotion. My mom said the best part of it all was the warm towel he brought out to wipe the lotion off her. Already, this whole experience has been HORRIBLE, but then my mom comes out to Tina ringing up a regular she apparently kicked my mom's appointment for. When my mom goes up to the counter to check out, Tina tells her the appointment was already paid for (by me) but that a tip wasn't left. I by no means was going to tip someone before they did their job, let alone would I have wanted my mom to tip after such a terrible experience. My mom is uncomfortable with confrontation and after Tina pushed by mentioning no tip was left 4 different times, my mom explained she didn't have cash for a tip. Tina jumped to say they could use her credit card for her to leave a tip. To say im appalled at the lack of professionalism by this establishment is an understatement. Quite honestly, I would want a refund because it was that much of a waste of time and money. Please, if you're looking to get a massage, go ANYWHERE else.
