The store is clean and the items on the shelves are fresh and new. They have a decent-sized produce section and a small frozen fish section in the back. The owner was very nice and he operates a small pharmacy counter in the front, selling several types of Burmese herbal medicines. The Burmese staples available include pickled tea, ngapi (fermented fish paste), preserved fruits, instant mohingar (fish soup), tea, and spices. They also carry a wide array of Chinese and especially Thai products, and their Burmese products are so unique that I haven't seen them at any of the other Burmese markets that I've been to in the States. They also sell prepared food on Saturdays and Sundays, and they have some Burmese clothing (longyi) available for purchase as well. Great little store!

Both fresh and frozen traditional bread (house-made); a halal butcher shop; and various types of canned and frozen food / spices/etc.; apparently fresh takeaway food (I didn't inquire); gifts; candies; various cheeses (Armenian string cheese!) and even a bulk section. Multiple options for most things (e.g. 4 kinds of pomegranate molasses); most items but not all labeled with a price. They also have a huge variety of prepackaged food items in the freezer section. They have a whole aisle of bakery items including rusk (toasts), cake rusks, cookies and biscuits. Muhammad helped us at the meat counter and all during our shopping. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. We ordered chicken and beef cut up in various ways to make different dishes like bbq, kabobs, pilau and karahi's. ALL the meat was very fresh, lean and trimmed extremely well. To our amazement they minced the ground beef by hand with the clever to perfection! This store has everything you need for any and all your Pakistani and Indian kitchen needs!! They have local produce year-round, even in winter, and some of the specials are really good. I'm really happy to have bulk spices available, and they have things here it's hard to find elsewhere (more kinds of organic cheese than Whole Foods, and they regularly carry organic parsnips and affordable organic citrus, for example). They had some local plums that were SO DELICIOUS that I've never seen anywhere and will definitely be looking for again. I also really like that you don't have to buy produce wrapped in plastic (cucumbers; bell peppers). The grab and go pizza is really tasty, and I'm a big fan of Bakehouse, who does their bread. They have cronuts every Friday. They even sell alcohol (which I don't really buy but maybe you do). They have a bunch of prepared foods and coffee, and they host regular events like a bring-your-own craft night, or a presentation on Mexican cuisine. Very cool. Service is friendly and the store is well-lit, with lots of parking and a small dedicated parking section right by the doors. Checkout is at these weird desks that don't really work (I guess there wasn't room for a real counter or a conveyor?) Overall, prices are somewhat high, and the canned good selection and frozen produce selection is fairly small. But if you like organic produce, bulk spices and high-quality baked goods and you're willing to pick and choose, shopping the specials, you should add it to your rounds.
