Eventually, I called the number on the website, and after having to hold for an hour (!!!), I finally got a reply from a very helpful person, so I thought, "Okay, good, now we're going somewhere." That was a week ago. I never heard back. I called the person who is supposed to organize this, but he didn't answer his phone, and we still don't have an estimate. The funny thing is that we hired another two guys (Alec and Trevor) to move furniture for us, and they did a great job. It seems like there's a serious disconnect somewhere.

I called a week and a half ago to schedule a move as we had sold our house and were moving our…read morestuff to storage. They said I qualified for a free in person estimate and could have them come out the following Friday. The estimate went smoothly and the gentleman left and said he would email the estimate to us and we could secure it with a deposit through their portal and the info would be in the email. The email I did receive had the estimate for 5 movers for 6 hours but no portal access or way to secure it so I immediately called that same day and waited on hold for an hour before they told me they would have someone from the local office call me. No one called and because of the holiday weekend no one was in the office until the following Tuesday. I called first thing Tuesday morning and they again said someone from the local office would call me. No one did. I waited on hold for another hour and explained everything again and they put me on hold while they contacted the owner Matt directly. When they came back they said they were sorry and something had fallen through and they wouldn't be able to help me with the move anymore. This leaves me with an immediate upcoming move and scrambling to find help. This whole process could have been handled way better and this company was a referral from someone else. I DO NOT recommend them to anyone.

Usually if you go to a thrift store, the toy area is trashed from the kids playing with the toys. But they had the toys higher up on shelves and bagged with the pieces that go with the toys. So they actually had a better selection of toys because all the pieces are most pieces were intact. I ended up buying some toys there for my grandson and also some books. Their prices were good compared to other thrift stores. I did not look at the clothing prices which tend to be ridiculous at most thrift stores. We did not have to wait long at all to check out and the woman was friendly. I have been to the other Blessings Abound thrift store in Overland Park, but not this one. I would recommend it to anyone living in this area.
