Access to this facility is open to all students of RIC, one of those many pesky fees you'll see…read morelisted on your tuition bill. I figure, if I have to pay the fee anyway I may as well give the place a shot. The Rec Center has a large pool, an indoor track, weight room on the first floor, cardio room on the second. There is also an area right when you walk in where you can sit and study. The cardio area is nice because it has really large windows that let light in. It can get hot if you're in the sunlight for too long, but if you mention it the staff can lower some automatic blinds. The shower/ locker room is clean enough. The initial activation process was a hassle because you have to sign an electronic waiver, but you can only access it after watching a safety video and the ric mobile site is pure trash and does not load properly. The woman working the front desk was nice enough to let me use her work computer to complete the process. All in all the whole place is adequate and if your a student at RIC that wants to work out you should use this space.

This is the part of campus that is done right…read more For all the things we complain about at RIC, the Recreation Center is the one that will get the most praise. It's a beautiful, brand new facility that is clean and has a decent amount of equipment. To highlight key points: - Free weights go up to 100 lbs (in increments of 5 lbs) - 2 squat racks - 5 bench press stations (2 incline, 1 decline, and 2 flat bench) - Indoor pool and track field - Plenty of cardio machines upstairs - Decent amount of machines specific to muscle groups (ex: Lat pull down and seated chest press machines). - Clean locker rooms and bathrooms I only have two complaints. One would be the lack of attachments that go along with the jungle pulleys. There are no straight bars, row bars, or v-handles. That truly deters from having variety in a workout and in a away, takes away from a quality workout as well. Additionally, there aren't any unique machines here. It's pretty standard equipment and nothing out of the ordinary. Secondly, the hours of operation need more consistency. The gym is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM, yet every other day of the week (including Friday), they open at 7 AM? Weird. But, it's definitely worth your time to come here. The Rec Center fee per semester is reasonable, and it's such a convenience. I'd recommend this gym to any Rhode Island College student or faculty member, encouraging them to make use of it.

Came in for an event with a group I belong to. They set us up with a private area in the bar which…read morewas great. The drinks were very pricy and so so in taste. There is a great view of sunset from the back bar with huge windows! The games were very interesting but the rules weren't always clear. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait to get into most of the rooms which wasn't too bad but if it was busier I think that could be annoying. Overall fun but expensive.

I've only been once to Level 99 and I loved it. I need to go back because it was so fun. I get…read morepretty bored with escape style rooms quickly, but Level 99 has something for everyone, and they blend mental and physical challenges, along with really cool theming, to keep people interested and engaged. I'm really glad this came to the Providence Place Mall - I feel it really livened it up! I also dined at Nightshift Brewing, which is inside Level 99. I've been there 3 times and two of the three times, loved the food. They change their menu seasonally and I'm just not a fan of the options for summer. However, the fall/winter menu is delicious and has a killer french dip sandwhich that I dream about. At this most recent visit, I had the popcorn which is always great, and the detriot style pizza. It was fine, but to be fair, I don't really enjoy detroit style pizza to begin with. There just weren't any options that I was excited about so that's what I landed on. The tap list is good, and they have a combination of their own branded beer and some from other breweries. While they don't do flights per se, you can get small pours and pay individually. I typically do this as I love trying all the options. I enjoyed the majority of the beer, and I picked mostly their brewed beer. Later in the evening, after the game play was over, we ordered some cocktails. I can't remember the name of the cocktail, but it was delicious and super instagrammable. The bar tender was really nice and did a good job with the drinks. This is definitely a fun night out for adults and families alike.

Camp Passive Aggressive Karens INDEED. I would love to say I enjoyed this campground as a tent…read morerental site for the week, but man do the residents of the camp truly ruin the experience of the crystal clear lake. The week was quiet and nice until the seasonal/regulars came in Thursday night. Next thing you know, the gossip train starts and all the residents watch your every move and call the front office on you if you breath in a way that offends them. I'd understand if I was rowdy and partying, but my sister and I literally were crocheting! Making sweaters we would have an uncle and cousin visit during the day (after they paid their fee to get in) and they made my guests so uncomfortable with the passive aggressive comments The staff are condescending, an old potato of a woman with blonde hair who takes your money coming in gave my PAYING GUEST a hard time coming in and then had the audacity to charge her twice the daily rate! Normal fee is $8, she charged my friend $15. I heard about 14 passive aggressive comments about my happy doofy husky/pitt bull mix (WHO WE PAID TO HAVE HERE) getting judged and glared at just for existing. I would love to say this a cute community who look out for one another, but this group of people are like those vile religious folk who claim to be loving and kind while they shun and shame anyone who may be different or new. I do not recommend this campground AT ALL. Find a nicer place. The annoyance of residents tattling over the dumbest things truly ruins any relaxation you try to have.

A seasonal campers paradise…read more.. Pros: -very quiet and we'll maintained. - office staff very friendly. Cons: -be prepared to walk, very hilly -Wi-fi only available at office/rec area. -playground has 4 swings and a volleyball net. -very limited area to fish. -seasonal campers very willing to ensure weekend camper is following "their" rules, not so much following the rules themselves (as evident by the unleased dogs that keep comming to my site).
