Everyone is lovely and remembers my daughter by name even though she is only there 1-2 times a month. Ms. Seemab is especially lovely and always provides such nice feedback about what my daughter learned throughout the day and how she did. I love the daily emailed reports, which include tons of cute videos and pictures. I feel very comfortable and confident that she is in great hands while she's at Chesterbrook.

Shortly after we were warned by someone we met that it's not a good school, they were right. There are many families on grants and financial support (lower income),which we did not mind, though there is no system in place and the preschool lacks leadership and clear guidance from the director and corporate. Teachers don't seem to know when asked questions and do not make any decisions. Often, staff members were on their cell when I came to pickup. It is not Regio or Montessori teaching approach, and from what I've seen the teachers cut and glue the art projects, the children learn by repeating and being indoctrinated with information instead of exploring hands-on and being asked open-ended questions. We were not updated when there were issues that rose, and only found out after the fact that things were handled poorly and without any consent from the parents. This is our third child and I work in education, if you value your child's education and want them to thrive in a supportive, welcoming and communal environment, there are better options out there.

Black Rock is a health conscious, play-centered learning environment. The directors go above and beyond to stay informed and up to date on the latest learning styles and resources for young children. I highly recommend this place!!

My daughter is thriving both academically and socially and I feel she is very prepared for going to Kindergarten in the Fall. My daughter had a lot of separation anxiety in the beginning but the teachers were so understanding and welcoming that she adjusted in a matter of 2 days. Just incredible! The manager and teachers are so wonderful and warm and they take care of all the children as if they are their own. My daughter always has wonderful things to say about her day at school and I am so blessed to have found this place. I would totally recommend this learning center for any parent looking for a safe and educational environment for their little ones

If she's in the wrong, which is often, she will just start an argument until she thinks she's won. - Jasmyn Butler is loud and does not discipline her own kids that go there, but is quick to yell at another kid. -Kierra Tongue threatens 5 year olds that are being mean to her daughter. -They do not like to be called out on their BS, they will make it hell for you to bring your child. -There is no structure in any of the older classrooms; infants & tods are great really. -Way too much personal drama going on in front of the kids. -Communication at the center is terrible between management and staff && management and families. -The director, whatever Jasmyn's position is, and the two team leads consistently leave the center to go have drinks (while still on the clock), leaving the phone with another staff member and the front desk empty. These are just a few things.

Ms. Hana took COVID safety very seriously and took all the measures to make sure that the learning environment was also a safe place as well which was also a top priority for us. It was going to be his first time in a structured school setting so I really appreciated the smaller class size and student to teacher ratio because I felt like he was able to receive a more individualized curriculum and he was met at his academic level. When my son first started, he had very basic knowledge of his letters and sounds, but now we are almost to the end of our first year and he is reading simple sentences. He comes home excited to tell me what he has learned and about all his friends at school! I am so impressed with how much he has learned and grown thanks to Ms. Hana. Although we will be moving on next year to kindergarten, we are so happy that our son was able to get a good foundation for this upcoming school year!

My daughter has grown so much during her time here into very sweet, talkative, helpful. Ms. Hana plans thoughtful activities for the kids all the time and is a very responsive director. I love that this school is smaller which affords the kids more personalized care as well as bring a "family like" feeling between parents, teachers, and children. My most favorite part is, I really enjoy receiving a art works, worksheets, home report and occasional pictures of my child. We have been very happy at MMPS. It is a gem of a school within affluent North Potomac/Rockville with still very reasonable rates relative to other preschool.

It felt like Owlets was a support system even outside of school hours. We loved the balance between structure and free play and really felt like Little Owlets prepared my daughter very well socially and knowledge-wise for kindergarten - the transition to elementary school was a breeze. My child LOVED the Montessori-inspired activity time and still talks about it. There is a real sense of community within the school. I appreciate how easy it is to get in touch with my kid's teachers if I have a question. I am very impressed by the IB program. Most importantly, I feel like my kids are truly getting the best education possible. I read a previous review about how they never met their child's teacher, and had to wonder how that is possible? One of the best things about Seneca (to me) is the ample amount of opportunities we have to meet with the teachers and be in the classroom. There are meet and greets, back to school night, parent/teacher conferences (even for pre k), and parents are encouraged to come in several times a year to be a guest reader, or help with holiday parties and other activities.
