Do not try to get American cocktails in Sweden. It's not happening. That said, we had really delicious wine here recommended by our friendly, charming server. I got the vegetarian main course (feuilles de brick stuffed with goat cheese and root vegetables - really like 2 large egg rolls and my favorite, mushroom tart and creamed brussels sprouts) more than I could eat and very good and about $20. My husband got top round steak of deer with black currant sauce, a mushroom and potato tart and creamed brussels sprouts, also very good and about $35. We've gotten starters with our mains in Uppsala but have found that it's just too much food so we skip that and often dessert, although that is hard because the desserts are so good. Don't expect decaf coffee in Sweden, it's not done here but we enjoy the roibos (red) tea after dinner because it doesn't keep us up. Service excellent and in Sweden just about everyone speaks English. With 2 drinks each, about $100. Alcohol is expensive here because it is heavily taxed. We will make this our weekly-going-out-to dinner spot. read more
