Came here in the afternoon in between lunch and dinner around 5pm and the place was pretty empty which we was fortunate as we didn't have a reservation. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. The patio could look a little nicer in the daylight and the food presentation could be better. After visiting the Metronome in Prague 7, I decided to stop by this small Italian restaurant for dinner. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the only waiter talking on his cell phone. It wasn't even a company phone, but his personal cell phone. I couldnt understand, but it didn't seem like he was making any effort to end the call and get to helping me. After standing for probably 3 minutes, he finally hung up and sat me at a table without and cutlery or menu. He came back to bring the cutlery, then went and came again with a napkin, then went and came again with the menu. Couldn't have done that all at once?!? The menu was small, but covered everything from pasta to meat to seafood. I decided to go with a veal fettuccine. The fettuccine was really perfect! The sauce is an oil based sauce, rather than cream, which was nice. However, the veal wasn't very flavorful and the arugula wasn't particularly plentiful. In general, the whole fish was such a small quantity. I was still so hungry so I decided to get the tiramisu. It took longer to serve that than the actual entree! It was not bad, but had too much espresso powder on the top for my taste. Of course, it took forever to get my check. I probably should have just gone up front to ring up instead of waiting for the waiter to come to me. While the food was good, I didn't even get close to enough and left hungry. I don't know if it was because I'm a foreigner or if I was alone, or both, but the service was pathetic. It seemed like I was treated like a nuisance rather than a paying customer. I would definitely not return, even for the perfectly al dente noodles. read more

Mediterranean cuisine/fish lovers rejoice, Peperoncino is just the place for you. I love this little spot in Letna - it ticks all the right boxes for a great restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious - as I mentioned, I am especially keen on their fish (they always seem to have at least two fresh types on daily offer) or seafood (their octopus main is really yummy). But there are also delicious options for carnivores, and excellent Italian desserts to top the evening off with. The location is very convenient whether you come by public transport or by car, but because it's tucked away in a smaller street not dead in the busiest center, the dining experience is never too crazily busy like it can be in the most popular central spots at times. Overall, the atmosphere is really cozy - the interior is simply rustic and suited for a romantic dinner. And if the weather in nice, the outdoor garden is lovely. The serving staff always seemed genuinely nice, too. With prices around 150 for a starter and on average 250 - 300 for a main, this is not the cheapest dining experience in Prague, but the quality of the meals is well worth the prices. (Also, the pasta mains are cheaper, at around 150 per meal) Oh and dog lovers - feel free to bring your well behaved doggie along - they are welcome not just in the garden, but even in the interior. read more

Delicious home made pasta in a local neighborhood favorite. Very non-touristy but friendly. Highly recommend reservations. The menu is simple but delicious and varied. Their wine selection is large. This has been one of my favorite meals in Prague! The service is amazing! Petra is an angel and amazing server! We split the beet salad as a perfect appetizer. For dinner I chose the octopus entree which was AMAZING! My friend chose the veal with truffle oil which was also delightful! All together this was an amazing experience. The service was great, and the prices and wine was wonderful! So happy I found this gem in Prague... thank you Petra! read more

We ventured here on a rainy afternoon when the Letna Beer Garden wasn't open. It didn't seem that there were a ton of restaurants in the area so we were happy to find this. We ordered a bruschetta appetizer with focaccia and although the focaccia was a little dry, overall it was very good. My husband ordered mussels which he said were pretty good although small in size (they don't serve bread with them FYI). I ordered the stuffed canneloni with spinach and ricotta which I thought was very good. I wouldn't make a special trip here but if you find yourself in the area then I would recommend it. Plus that patio would definitely make it worth it if it were warm. We had no problem with service as others have reported. read more

Ok, the food is probably good, I've heard, but unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try it because we had to leave... if you want to be slapped by rude owners who don't give a flying damn about toddlers and older ones, don't go there. I get it, they are Eastern European, I am as well, but they need to start understanding what a customer means these days (yes, communists were not the best at it) and if families bring their kids - YOU GOTTA FIGURE OUT THE SITUATION WITH THE OWNER OF THE GRASS AROUND YOUR OUTDOOR AREA or SOMETHING. YES, YOU DO:) travel outside of your comfort zone, and please learn what customer service means. Our only night in Prague was ruined. You cannot be arrogant and rude if you want to make a good profit! Sorry, the solution is not as difficult as you would think. By far, the best Mediterranean food I've ever had! Seared octopus salad, oven baked veal and mashed potatoes with truffle oil, and black spaghetti with tuna, olives, capers and tomatoes was exquisite. Great service. Even though they were completely slammed, the owner came up to us and said that they will make room for us anyway. Stopped here for dinner with some friends who were staying a couple of blocks away at the Hotel Belvedere. Our server was quite friendly and spoke English and our food was prepared and delivered promptly. Our group had: Salad with cherry tomatoes, arugula and Parmesan Tartar of marinated salmon with fennel, dill and creme fraiche Veal cutlet with potato kaší Linguine with lobster, shrimp and zucchini Lamb from the oven with potatoes kaší Lamb Chop Fresh fish of the day - Tuna Vegetable Sicilian - Caponata Everyone loved their food. None of us drank any wine or cocktails, so I cannot attest to that, but the food prices were reasonable and everything was prepared to everyone's preferences (rare, medium, etc.) It was chilly the night we went, but the photos of their outdoor dining area look nice for those warm summer evenings. read more

Horrible. Not even worth one star. Walked half way across the city because we believed the reviews. Bad service and ambiance, only one type of beer, and worse food. We ordered the bruscetta and it was microwaved foccacia with halved tomatoes and a bunch of arugula. Barely any oil, no garlic, totally flavorless. Didn't stay to experience any more disappointment. Went there after reading Yelp reviews. Were told they were too busy. We walked out but my wife who clearly has a bigger pair than I went back in and they relented and gave us a table. Very romantic courtyard dining. Lots of families, kids running around but not annoying at all. We got a bottle of wine, salads and my wife had lamb chops and I had pasta with shrimp and lobster. Chops were great and a large portion. Pasta delicious. Tiramasu for desert. Best dinner in a long time. read more

I have been coming here since they opened and have always been a big fan. I want very much to give them five stars...but two things prevent me from doing so - the inconsistency issue, and that terrible outdoor area. When these guys are on, it's some of the best Italian in Prague, hands-down. But when the B-crew is working, you can just taste the apathy. Same goes for the service - when the owners are there, everything works like a clockwork machine, but when they aren't, the service drops down to Hospudka-like levels and you start to feel like a jerk for bothering them for napkins, or the forks they forgot. And then there's that backyard - a weird space that is almost always moist-to-wet, and the neighbours are all jerks so you HAVE to move inside at 22h sharp, and, the worst part, is that when the back is open, they refuse to seat you indoors at all (they need those tables for the 10pm rush). Now all this sound like a bad review, but the truth is that, when I get to sit inside and the good staff is on, there are few places in the neighbourhood that I would rather dine at.
