I ordered some wine and then some salad and a pizza. What I didn't realize is the pizza I ordered the Napoli was basically a cold pizza. The waiter told me it was fresh but I didn't understand. The pizza had red sauce, fresh buffalo mozzarella and uncooked cherry tomatoes and arugula Plus I got a side salad so it was a very cold meal. They should have said more about the pizza so I really understood. It was ok but not ever flavorful unfortunately. It looked better than it was. Also, it took a while for them to get me my check but overall service was good.

C) We really don't care about customer service, and want to get as much money from you this time so you'll never ever come back and visit our establishment again. The food is good, and affordable, but Zizzi and parent company ASK have earned my complete and utter contempt. Damned if they will earn another penny from me. I wonder if I'm the only customer bothered by this recent promotion? Shame too, I would have been back often. Recent update: I was just contaced by the Operations Manager, Richard.. He expressed his great regret at our experience, and was suitably contrite. It is 5 May, and we just received our complementary meal at Zizzi, Farnham. I don't think we'll be rushing back, but we feel as if they've done their best to make things right. The service still isn't quite stellar, but we've come around that if we're ever out and about, and come across a Zizzi, it is at least an option. I feel as if I've lost a bit of cred, upgrading what was my only 1-star rating to 2, but they deserve at least that.

Very impressed, as was la contessa. Four-course menu with a choice from 4 dishes for the first three thereof. A sort of overlarge fishcake that was stuck together with olive oil and subtly seasoned. Squid ink noodles with clams (squid ink pasta is great). *Calves liver with spinach. Melts in the mouth. All absolutely scrumptiliously delightful and the portions were not over-large, as they can often be in Italy. More 'nouvelle cuisine' size. The pudding course was a set mixture of 'bits and pieces'. I don't have a much of a sweet tooth and I have usually pigged out by then anyway, but this little collection was desperately pleasing upon the eye and the palate. The wines were reasonably priced for a place like that. £25 for a bottle of Chianti Classico, although it didn't fire me up like the one I had at the 'Old Devil Inn' for £18. (see separate review) I thought that the decor was a bit bland, but I tend to ogle plates rather than fellow diners or wallpaper. The staff were attentive and charming. It's a great place for lunch or dinner when heading to the airport, without the airport prices. There is a small parking lot in front and additional street parking on the side. I've never had a problem finding a spot. The dining room has a decent size and a large back patio that's open in summer. The setting is casual-romantic. Service is prompt and friendly. Special requests are no problem. Food has been consistent and high quality. I love the fresh pastas and the risotto. Nice wine list and interesting cocktail list. Prices are reasonable.

Such warm, personalised service; beautifully decorated, heated and covered space outdoors for Covid-complaint dining; and delicious food at acceptable prices. We had the Sicilian tuna and spaghetti Bolognese, with zucchini frites to share. Would recommend all of them especially the tuna steak, which was a beautiful dish cooked perfectly. Feel fortunate to have found this place and will be coming back!

La Meridiana now getting quite expensive for what it is. Despite that still popular - but they'll have to improve all round to justify cost. They could cut down the ridiculous size of the non-used bar, get rid of the table for two next to it and put in a smaller bar / area with some unobtrusive partitioning beams or similar and create an area where half a dozen people can wait with drinks for a few minutes.

Darling daughter kindly offered to take her mother (me) for lunch. After much deliberation, we decided to wander not too terribly far from home to Piazza Firenze. I'd never been before. We arrived at about 1.30 on a Saturday afternoon. There were a couple of small family groups by the big picture window (which was fully open, as it was a fabulous day) with small and impatient children. We therefore chose to sit near the back. At the back were some challenged and rather noisy adults, but neither they nor the toddlers were the restaurant's fault. The place wasn't busy (the glorious day may have something to do with that). We were given menus and asked what we'd like to drink quite quickly. They have a wine list, plus some spirits and beers, though both of us stuck with water. The menu is not extensive, but nor is it tiny. It has starters, salads, pasta, pizza and main courses. Both my daughter and I opted for pizza - she had a Margarita, and I had a pizza with Italian sausage and bacon (it was supposed to come with egg; I asked to have that omitted - as a New Yorker, egg on pizza for me is just wrong). The pizzas did take a bit of time to arrive, despite the lack of many customers. My pizza was ok. The sausage and bacon were quite salty, and I'd have liked the base cooked a bit more. Also, and this is a common complaint from me about pizzas in Britain, it could have done with some herbs - oregano, basil - that kind of thing. As it was, it was really the topping that provided the flavour. I had a wee taste of my daughter's pizza. The crust was nicer on that one, and the tomato tasted fresher, but again, it could have done with seasoning. The bill came to under £20, as all we had were two pizzas, with no drinks or sides. The pizzas ranged in price from around £7 to around £10, as did the pasta dishes. The main courses (sea bass, steak, that kind of thing) were more expensive - perhaps half again as much. The decor is fairly bare - wooden floors, plain table and chairs. Fortunately, they are not too close together, so you will not be rubbing elbows with all and sundry. However, all the hard surfaces means the sound really does carry. There is a small garden/terrace out back with tables and chairs, though we did not venture out there. The pizza oven is in the back, so you can see your pizza being cooked and delivered. All in all, I'd say this is not a bad place for families, but I would hesitate to recommend it for an intimate, adult dinner for two.
