El Palacio De Las Guayaberas was a pleasant surprise; the store had a wide variety of shirt colors and fabrics for men, a nice selection of pants were also available. The store also has a large selection for the ladies as well. I met the owner Mr. Pepe when I made my purchase; to say I was deeply impressed by his knowledge of the available colors, styles and various sizes would be an understatement. Mr Pepe is one fashionable individual who obviously takes pride in his appearance as he dresses to impress with his selection and style from the shirts he sells. He is quite helpful in his assisting of the purchaser, and when you exit the premises you know you've been treated like family not just a customer. Bought a quayabera which was fine. Only complaint is the seam at the arm hole is a single stitch which looks cheap, instead of a french seam which looks much nicer and better finished. This guaybera was not cheap at $140.00. The big problem was with the $50.00 Ecuadorian made Panama style hat. It can't be worn in any kind of wet weather. This is ridiculous for a hat sold in Miami. Pepe neglected to mention this and it's nowhere printed on the hat. Do not absolutely purchase this hat if you live anywhere outside of a desert. It's junk. Called and spoke to Pepe and all he did was laugh, "no you can't get it wet and I usually tell people but I guess I forgot to tell you." read more

I wish I could give Pepe 6 stars. From the moment I walked in with my daughter's boyfriend, we were welcomed like family. We had a "cafecito" poured for us like we were old friends. Pepe was so kind, especially as we bought 8 guayaberas to outfit our crew for a funeral. His attention to detail, his poignant fittings and precise eye was flawless. He displays a lost art of fitting people for clothing. The old school vibe in his shop is refreshing.
