I felt compelled to post this because I had such a bad experience at this Pep Boys in Raynham. I usually go to the dealership to get work done on my car, but I thought I would save some money by heading to Pep Boys. I went here to have my front brakes fixed. It was expensive, but I paid what they asked for, stayed there most of the day, and got the brakes repaired. I can overlook the price and the less than satisfactory customer service, but what really upset me was that the person who took the lug nuts off my front right rim damaged it with the gun. Then to top it off, they switched the rim to the rear left side so that I wouldn't notice it. Well, the dirty deed worked, because I actually didn't notice it until several weeks later when I cleaned my car out. I hadn't had any more work done on the car and I was so pissed off. I was always so proud that my car didn't have any damage to the wheels or body. When I thought about the headache they would give me if I went back there to dispute this, that I didn't even bother going back. My friend said that I should've gotten an attorney, but I was broke. It was just a terrible, terrible thing they did. I am hoping that if I am able to help someone else be wary of this Pep Boys, then maybe my lack of recourse isn't for naught.... Absolutely NO stars, but they make you rate at least one star, unfortunately. read more

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! WORST EXPERIENCE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Let me start by saying I made this appointment on 11/12 for 11/13 at noon because I had a dinner reservation at 7 pm. So I was looking forward to getting my tires changed as my front tires are BALD! All I needed was 2 Goodyear tires. The Raynam location is an hour and some change away from where I was staying. That morning I called Glen who was working at the shop who had the worst attitude when I asked if he could check the status of my order and to check if he actually did have the tires. I was on hold for 6 minutes before he got back on and told me that he didn't have the tires. In other words, I would have of driven all the way there just for then to tell me that he didn't have them. Glen didn't give one damn. So, I called 4 other locations that show that they have my tires online before finding only one shop that had 2 tires. I called customer service who ended up hanging up on me and not returning my call to get a refund. I give in and decide to go to Brockton, he said it would be about an hour, I leave and come back an hour later, and they haven't even started working on my car. Once they got my car in they were super fast. Francoise, the manager is amazing and they gave me a discount for my troubles. Moral of the story, I'm never coming here again, and neither should you. read more

Very good service. It is a Sunday so I'll Give them that, dropped my car off at 12pm for an oil change and didn't get it back till 3pm, but I was ok with that. They were slammed and their computers were acting up... It happens. The people were very nice and my car has clean oil and doesn't sound like an airplane. So 5 stars. read more

We have had a few issues with our vehicle over the past month and the team at Pep Boys Raynham were great. Randy and Justin were extremely helpful when it cane to addressing the biggest issue with our air conditioning compressor. They were great with providing details regarding the issue and worked with us to get the necessary part and were able to get the issue resolved quickly and professionally. I am really conflicted on this. I was shopping around getting prices on 4 new tires. I called and spoke with a guy named Randy, He was very nice & gave me prices, he have me a price of $535.00 for 4 tires. He said he if I bought the alignment it would be more, but he said there was a coupon for the 5 year alignment purchase. I got there and went ahead with the entire job & also added on Rainx wipers. The young man Brandon who was there was very kind, and said it would be no issue at all to add the wipers. After 2 1/2 hours I came back to get my car. I was charged $709.00 for the job, I was really taken back by that costs but paid it anyway. I get on the road to head back home it starts raining. I put on my brand new wipes and they are not removing any water at all. I pull over on the high way & found the protective plastic that cover the blades is still on.... Unbelievable..... Once home I go over my bill... I was NEVER given the coupon for the alignment.. Kinda feel like they took advantage of me, The people are very nice, but NO i will never ever go back & I will not recommend them. read more

Horrible service, some of the worst I've ever experienced. My brakes were bad so I went in for a brake check to see if it was the front or back. They left my car on the lift for over an hour and the service counter was left unattended for at least 45 minutes. Finally, someone came to the front and he was able to get my car off the lift soon after I told him. The same employee that was helping me came back with a crazy verbal report that I needed all 4 new tires and new back rotors and pads. My back tires are less than a year old with plenty of tread still left, so I knew that wasn't true. After a simple brake check which took them 2 hours (should be 15-25 minutes) with nobody waiting in line before me and then hearing them lie to me about my tires I knew I couldn't trust them to do my brakes, so I called my mechanic friend who was away for the weekend at a wedding and he said he would do them when he got back in a few days. My front rotors were horrible, they were worn down all over the edges and it was obvious as the culprit of the problem. It cost $110 in total to replace the front brakes compared to the $250 PepBoys quoted me for the back ones (which weren't even the problem!!). I didn't even get a physical copy of the report on my brakes, they handed me an invoice stapled to some warranty information. DON'T COME HERE!! SCAM ARTISTS AT WORK!!!! read more

I first scheduled an oil change online but when I got there there was no reservation for my oil change. The price for an oil change is a little higher compared to other shops around the area. My car got in the bay within 10 min. It took about another 20 to do the oil change. My car was sitting on the parking lot for about one hout after the service was done and I stood right in front of then but no one cares about the customers and I had to wait more then one hour to get back on the road after my car was ready to go. Do not waste your money and time at pep boys raynham they do not respect customers at all. read more

Terrible. I called to set up an appointment to have my tires installed after I had been notified by UPS that they had been delivered. The earliest they could get me in was 3 days away at 5pm on Friday. I arrived at 4:45pm and handed over the keys. I asked the employee at the Service counter when I should come back and he told me it would be done by 6-6:30. I thought 60-90 minutes to install 4 new tires was a lot of time (especially with an appointment) but I said "Ok" and took my 3 year old next door to bowl and play some games. I came back at 6:15pm and my truck was now on the lift but my tires were still sitting in front of the Service counter right were they had been at 4:45pm. My son and I sat in the waiting room and waited. They took the old tires off 6:25pm and I didn''t get my truck back until 7:25pm. Two hours and forty minutes is WAY too long to wait especially when I had a scheduled appointment. read more

pulled in my driveway a couple of years ago....heard a loud rushing of air...realized it was coming out of my front tire....hopped back in my car to try to make it to a place before it went totally flat....stopped at firestone, closed, stopped at towne fair tire, closed, rushed to pep boys...saw the light was on in their garage and the door was open....drove in, they took me right away.....fixed my tired.....AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME. they said they don't charge to just plug up a tire.....and its still plugged up....no problems with this tire.....i take my car there all the time now...... read more

Bought tires from Randy through Pep Boy's Raynham and set up an appointment to have them done at 1pm on a Saturday. Was early for the appointment, gave the keys and went next door(jockey club) for lunch while the tires were to be done. Came back 1.5 hrs later, and the car was still sitting in the parking lot untouched. Tires weren't done being put on until 4pm. Won't get my business again. read more

The receptions named Renee was rude and clearly in a bad mood. My appointment was supposed to be for a new battery. My car battery had died twice that day, and once a few days before that. When I checked in, I made it very clear that the appointment was for a new battery (Also, when I scheduled the appointment, I scheduled it for "Battery services.") I also mentioned that I needed my headlight fixed. They fixed my headlight and did nothing with the battery but test it. They said the battery tested fine, which I find hard to believe considering it died twice that day and my alternator is brand new, so it's not that. I had paid for the headlight replacement and headed on my way when I realized they either forgot to charge me for the battery, or didn't do it. I went back inside and I told the mechanic the appointment was supposed to be for a new battery and he said all he was told was I needed my headlights fixed. He was nice and offered to replace the battery for me right then and there but then explained that it tested fine. In the end I did not get a new battery and I will not be returning back to this Pep Boys in the future. This is also not the first time Renee has been rude to me. read more

So I've been here a few times before for a flat repair, service was good, but after the last experience, I don't think so, the gentleman that I was standing behind was having a to say the least a heated conversation with who I though was just a regular service employee, after looking at the gentlemans badge he was the assistant service manager "rob" a not so polite gentleman with no people skills! I bought a set of valve covers for my car about a week back and on discovering that they would not fit when I had time today to work on them, I went back to return them at about 4:00 . With me I brought an original cover to figure out what gasket would fit and go from there. On asking my question...or almost halfway through my question, the ever-so-friendly woman behind the counter informed me in a tone like that of a rattlesnake that she "cant help with that". OK. Absolutely zero help. Absolutely zero customer service skills from this employee. Sadly I was so annoyed and fed up with the lack of service and help that I don't recall her name. A real shame. Will not do business here again. I got 6,000,000 times more help and support from every other auto part business I went to after. Thanks PepBoys! read more

This is definitely one of those instances where it would be great if zero or negative stars were available. I am the first to admit I know very little about cars. I used to work in the area, and one day I got a flat tire on my way to work :( I called AAA out, and my donut tire was placed on. I stopped at Pep Boys because it was the first place I encountered after continuing my journey to work. An employee came out and took a look at my tire, and indicated that it could not be patched because of the location of the nail, and further, both rear tires needed to be replaced. Fine, fair enough. Truthful even. Unfortunately, he proceeded to tell me that my front two tires, which were brand new (replaced within the previous few months), needed to be replaced as well. Really? I may be a woman, and I may not know a lot about cars, but I know enough to recognize when someone is trying to pull the wool over my eyes! Completely unprofessional, not to mention unethical. Went to get a tire replaced for my elderly parents vehicle. Wasn't sure of the specifics because it wasn't mine and the woman at the counter had a bit of an attitude. My instincts said to leave right there but I wanted to get it done. Was told an hour or hour and a half on the phone. Was told two hours when I got there. She asked if it was all wheel drive and I said I didn't know. After sitting in a stiff chair for almost two and a half hours I was told they couldn't replace one tire because it was all wheel drive. I had mistakenly thought it was a jeep but it was a mercury, and they said I told them it was a jeep. Doesn't jeep make all wheel drive vehicles? If someone had checked at first, I could have left in 5 minutes. When I tried to say this to the guy at the counter, he turned away from me in mid sentence. The woman before me was there almost 4 hours. Never, ever again will I spend a nickel at Pep boys, and will make sure I let anyone I know not to go to this place. A more customer oriented place would have saved me a lot of hassle and headache today. read more
