In the beginning it most definitely was rough and challenging for my daughter. Although, at a school like Basis where; the curriculum exceeds expectations, support systems are phenomenal, and resources are readily available, I now know what all the hard work was/is for and it's worth it because you see real results. My daughter is in seventh grade now, and I have seen so much improvement. Basis and my family have collectively worked together to expeditiously get positive results and we will continue working with Basis. I try my hardest to keep my daughter on track and it is clear Basis is doing the same. Without their guidance and advice on how to help my daughter at home, I would be useless. This is a school that motivates their students to excel and challenges students in a way other schools don't. If you believe in your child and know that your child is capable of doing hard work then Basis is for you! This school is a school for kids that want to work hard and won't shy away from a challenge. Additionally, the benevolent faculty and staff are highly qualified and well-rounded. If you would want anyone to be mentoring, advising or teaching your children...then Basis is where they need to be. I am more than positive that after attending Basis my child has and will continue to exceed my expectations and others. Most importantly a good education. All are successful. My grandkids started attending in 2010. 4 have graduated and 1 is still attending. Some things have changed. Open enrollment means not only Peoria schools feed in but kids from all over the valley. So we aren't a small town school anymore. Everyone wants to come here. It's a great experience. She has been unhelpful throughout the process with registering my son and consistently speaks in a rude and dismissive tone. This school also takes forever to approve your child's enrollment. They're not that great so we will be going elsewhere. I started this enrollment process back in March! And we're going into august. Head up, You are able to go online and file an enrollment complaint through district. The school has shut off their reviews on Google because they know they they have people complaining.

They provided no parent notification or information on safety measures, violating their own conduct rules, after one of their Ironwood high school teachers made and admitted to a comment of violence , stating he would shoot one hundred students if he had a gun. They attempt to keep the comment covered up, while the teacher continues teaching. They state that student safety is what they care about but it is a lie based on their inaction and lack of parent notification. Parents need to take their own measures for their students safety, otherwise don't count on the school or district to do so. Students should not feel they should transfer to other schools when the teacher is who should be sent out or reassigned elsewhere. Most inept and and uncaring district anywhere.
