Even after completing a volunteer form and background check. I shouldn't have to constantly worry if my child is being treated with respect and dignity. There is a lack of communication and support from the school. Parents deserve to be treated with respect and feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and being involved in their child's education. Parent involvement plays an important role in a child's learning, development, confidence and overall success. I understand that working in education can be stressful and challenging. However, that frustration should never be taken out on parents who are truly trying to advocate for their children and be actively involved in their education. Better communication, professionalism, knowledge of child development and understanding of family involvement needs to be re- taught. If you no longer enjoy working with children and parents, it maybe worth reconsidering whether this is the right career path. In just the past two months, there have already been two turnovers for the upcoming "Head of school". That level of inconsistency trickles down and deeply affects staff morale, student experience, and the integrity of the institution.
