    Our view of Aaron Lewis.

We bought first row tickets to a concert. Knew there was "orchestra pit" seating in front, but didn't think that would be a problem because orchestra pits are at a lower level...right? Nope. Their "pit" is actually elevated above the main theater seats. So we got an awesome view of the back of the heads of the people in front of us instead of Aaron Lewis all evening. And they refuse to consider a refund of any kind. Very deceptive.

Happy to see Riverman Hockey back at the Civic Center. Great fan experience, the puck toss is unique.

One of the two bathrooms missing doors

Every bathroom from top to bottom that we used had missing doors and smelled disgusting. They had a rule put in place you couldn't bring in a purse bigger than a passport. Which was made worse when we got walked all the way to the other side of PCC and THEN told (why didn't they say it when we entered and went through the first security I have no idea) This caused us to miss the beginning of the show that we purchased tickets for. Many other patrons were also in the same predicament and the staff were not apologetic about it. In fact, they tried to justify their lack of communication stating "PC says its on the ticket" it was not on my digital ticket anywhere, which I showed them but of course they had no answer to that. It would have been better if they had handled a few things differently including their attitudes. Ex. Ensure that info is on all ticket types (incl digital), apologize for the inconvenience, communicated as soon as we entered, put the bag rule on the entrance doors with a design that will draw eyes to it. Once getting in the theater there was no usher to direct us (I'm not from Peoria and had only been to the theatre once years ago). At least the show was good...once we were able to get in but the venue and staff could use some work.

The bad: -Management -State of the room -BED BUGS BEING LEFT UNTREATED Recently stayed. Spent our first night locked out of the room because the lock died and the key needed to unlock the door is kept in the managers locked office at night. Spent the second night packing our things in trash bags and driving 5 hours back home after finding bed bugs in our room. Along with this, the room was trashed. All photos below. Went back and forward with guest services and the manager only to get a partial refund and a small amount of points. We had to discard hundreds of dollars in items because they couldn't be properly handled to ensure bed bugs didn't enter our home. The manager advised that someone else came in and checked for bed bugs and didn't find any, so the room was fine. THE BED BUG WE FOUND, KILLED AND TOOK A PHOTO OF WAS LEFT ON THE COUNTER. Probably overlooked like many other things in the hotel. They aren't treating it for bed bugs even with a known case. Don't risk it.

The Rivermen are the AHL farm team for the NHL's St. Louis Blues and they play at the Peoria Civic Center. These games are community and family oriented. When you enter the center, there are activities for the kids (face painting, balloon animals and bouncy castles). Between periods, there are contests and more stuff for the kids. The concessions are pretty standard and the prices aren't exorbitant. Street parking isn't too bad and there are several parking garages in the area. Go Rivermen!

For $25 I received an on the glass seat for an exciting game against the Oklahoma City Barons. Best $25 I have ever spent! Multiple times players would smash into the glass a foot in front of me and nearly knock me out of my seat. The beer selections were good and cheap. I did notice that I was the only person in the arena without Rivermen gear. I immediately went to the pro shop for some apparel. $60 for an adult sweatshirt!? Holy cow. Luckily, I can fit into a child's size for $30. My only disappointment was the false representation by the mascot. The pictures show a tough ship captain after a long day on the river. Then, out skates a fluffy overweight bear? Why not change the team name to Peoria Overweight Bears? Does Peoria even have bears?

It says brand new hotel. There is nothing new about this place. The parking garage is quite literally falling down. Stay out of it if you value your vehicle. The rooms are tired, old have not been updated in probably 30 years. The entire place feels empty, isolated and it's just disgusting. No electrical, extension cords, which are unsafe, filthy stained, carpets, doors that don't work... The list just goes on. You're better off sleeping in your car.

There was a nasty stain on my down comforter and the room looked very antiquated as I wouldn't let any of my stuff touch the carpet as it wasn't vacuumed. The front desk gentleman was nice but when I checked I asked if there was a restaurant and bar open and he said yes I followed with can I have that sent up to my room and he said I would be lucky to get food as they are short staffed at the hotel. That set a very bad precedent from the start. I'm telling all my business colleagues about this as it was disgusting to be honest. I'm ashamed at the Sheraton brand. Also to only have parking on the street in a not so safe area is not the best for your guests.
