Overall, it was a very good three-night stay at this traditional hotel here.
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Free private parking (you need to deposit your car key at the front desk so that they can move it if needed). Very convenient location to explore Vienna--about five blocks walk to/from the nearest subway station (U3 Orange Line Zieglergasse Station). Linzer torte was provided for afternoon snacks for two days and apfelstrudel for one day (leftover from the breakfast, I'm sure) with flavored sweet water. That was a very nice added benefit. Free wifi in room.
Cons: A small room needing some modernization (in fact the whole facility could use some face-lift/renovation). Carpet material on the wall next to the bed (photo) was kind of weird (didn't give us a sense of cleanliness). Also, we couldn't maneuver around the bed on that side. Room with no view (well, it's in a city).
As I always say, "In a free market society, the price is as good as you're willing to pay." You get what you pay for it. We saved some money on hotel, and used it elsewhere. read more
