This is by far the worst pawn shop I have ever been to. I looked at the watches, video games and music equipment (3 of my favorite items to buy) and everything was priced at what it would be new in a store but was in very poor condition. To give examples: -Ipod touch (1st gen in bad condition) = 200$ -Womans Movado watch (trashed) $850 -Gemini DJ mixer (poor dj mixer, cheap model) $350 Not a good bargain in the entire store. Went to this place today after having a terrible experience next door at CastleWay. After being…read moreinsulted and turned away without cashing a completely valid settlement check. I had never tried cash link before and after today I will never go anywhere else. First impression: welcomed warmly and politely by the staff. I was initially being helped by a very helpful woman who unlike their Neighbor to the right, immediately recognized the validity of the check that was deemed fraudulent not more than 10 minutes before. (It was 100% valid for the record) however after realizing my ID was expired, rather then telling me that I was out of luck and to hit the bricks, I was introduced to Tommy Tom. I'm not positive but I gather he was manager. After a few suggestions he was able to find a solution to my expired ID. 10 minutes later I walked out completely aglow as my pockets were now lined and I became a lifetime patron of Cash Link in Fitchburg MA. TL; DR Do NOT do business with Castleway when you can be treated 100x better for the same service.. ... in the SAME plaza!

I recently went into this bank to cash a check and the service that I received was absolutely…read moreatrocious. I do not have an account and although the check was drawn from their bank, I was told that I would be charged $5.00 to cash the check. My current bank is out of town and I was not able to make it there before the weekend to deposit the check in my own account. I explained to the manager that money was very tight and I really did not have the extra $5.00 and asked that the fee be waived. I explained that I needed the cash to pick up a few prescriptions at CVS. She refused to even consider waiving the fee and told me that the only way that she would waive the fee was if I opened an account. I know for a fact that she was able to waive the fee however she just refused to do so. I would never open an account with a bank that charges people to cash checks. I was left feeling humiliated and embarassed and highly recommend that you do not take your business to this bank.
