I really like the layout and inventory of this store. The store has a new modern feel to the store. They have a wide selection of beer, spirits, wine and related items. I initially enjoyed their 15% case wine discount off 12 bottles of wine, which I have purchased almost weekly over the past year or so. I also recently joined their frequent customer club, which also added an additional $10 discount. The $10 frequent customer discount is in addition to their 15% discount off case wine. I will continue to shop here to enjoy both discounts. This location is most conveniently located near my home. I also like Total Wine, since I can sometimes enjoy their 20% discount off 12-18 bottles of direct wines. In both cases I can mix and match my wine choices. Since I travel a lot I plan to visit some other Total Wine store locations. More to come regarding liquor stores, since I do enjoy my spirits, wine and beer.

Although I am unhappy that there was no other flavors of Crown Royal mainly because that's my favorite type of whiskey, I let it slide because I bought three things just today: I got some Bacardi rum, RumChata, and some Jack Daniels cinnamon whiskey. I highly recommend this liquor store to anyone who lives in or around Georgetown, Delaware. Very good prices, very good service. That's what the store is about.

So, I researched places that may have a decent craft brew selection and discovered One Stop Liquors. They had a vast array of local craft brewery 4 & 6-packs, as well as a good variety of the typical big-name craft breweries. Both in cold-ready-to-go & warm take out options, it was an instant too many choices debate haha. The prices are comparable to our beer stores in MD, nothing seemed over-priced, and they had some sales promoting 'try this!'. We ended up going home with a few 6-packs of DE local IPAs, can't wait to try. Checking out, the staff was super friendly, with ample CoVID precautions in place (high glass dividers, hand sanitizer available, sectioned out where to stand stickers, and contactless card swipe). When we travel to OC, we will add them as a great place to stop and stock up!

The inside and outside lights are on, last customer before me, was just leaving. I walk up to go in and the door is locked!! Oh no! An employee had just locked the door, another was at the cash register Obviously closing out todays sales. What? They close @8pm??? I knock on the glass door, get their attention, I point to my watch, asking from outside.. aren't you suppose to be still open??? The lady who had locked the door... walks back over to door.. I'm thinking, she's going to say, we're closed... but instead, she unlocks the door and without saying a word, literally opens the glass entrance door completely.. ???I am so surprised, it's looking like I might get to make a purchase here, but I am not a 100% sure, so I ask.. ?? Well... Can I come in?? She answered softly, Yes.. I'm very surprised!!! I ask her, "are you sure that it's ok?" Yes! Come in, she said. In an attempt to hurry, my mind goes blank, I am thinking.. I know these people want to go home.. I don't know where anything is, plus I am shopping for someone else!!!. This woman showed me every kindness, As if it was in the middle of the day... I did rush, as fast as I could, because I really appreciated her letting me in. The other thing I noticed, as I quickly shopped, LOW PRICES throughout the store. The gentleman had my purchase rung up and bagged, I was sure of the Miller beer I purchased, but I was not 100% sure on my other purchase and the lady kindly told me,instead of a large bottle, I could get 2 different smaller bottles.I said, that's ok, he already has my purchase rung and bagged, I am not going to have him cancel my order and ring up something else... both assured me, they did not mind... I was glad to keep what I had. Latter I looked on the Internet and realized the store closed at 7:45 not 8pm. Low prices, customer service and kindness is served here. I don't shop often in a liquor store, but you can be sure, if I do, it will be here!!

The brewery itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained.Unfortunately, one employee completely changed the tone of the experience. We stopped in around 8 PM on a Saturday, about an hour before closing. The other staff member we interacted with seemed friendly enough, but the tall, curly-haired employee who took our order was the reason we decided to have one beer and leave. From the moment we walked up, he seemed annoyed that we were there. There was very little eye contact, minimal interaction, short statements, seemed annoyed I was deciding what I wanted, and he appeared far more interested in watching TV (I assume that's what he was doing or he was just aggressively not making eye contact) than engaging with customers. To be fair, he did thank us when we left a cash tip, but even then he never made eye contact it was very transactional, he just took the money, and aggressively shoved it in the tip jar. On its own, that wouldn't have bothered me, but it fit the overall vibe of the interaction. The atmosphere was also surprisingly flat for a Saturday night. There was no music, trivia, or anything else going on, and staff had already started putting chairs up about 30 minutes before closing while customers were still there. Combined with employees cleaning around guests, it felt like the focus had shifted to getting people out the door rather than creating a welcoming environment. What stood out most was the contrast with a nearby meadery about five minutes away outside of Milton. We had come from there before stopping in, and the atmosphere was night and day. The meadery felt lively, welcoming, and glad to have customers. Here, it felt more like we were interrupting closing chores. We may give it another shot because the beer was genuinely good, and I'd like to believe this was just an off night. The product deserves credit. Unfortunately, the customer experience made us cash out after a single round. Pros Good beer, especially the fruited options Clean spacious taproom Cons One very disengaged and unwelcoming employee Chairs being put up before closing Staff cleaning around guests Little atmosphere for a Saturday night Overall: Good beer and a nice space, but hospitality matters. One employee's attitude was enough to turn what could have been a longer visit into a quick drink and an early tab-out. Hopefully it was just an off night.
