Parents beware! Planned to admit my child here. Immediately got red flags during the intake…read moreprocess. They were very disorganized. I was give a piece of loose leaf paper to give my contact information to the education coordinator. The program building is in a strip mall which is where the intake took place and is not on the same location as the housing facilities. The tech and nurse, while very nice, were not helpful and were not able to give me straight answers about the facility. The biggest RED FLAG was when I asked to see the housing facilities. They were unwilling to let me see the housing facilities. I spoke with one of the administrators after back and forth with the intake nurse and letting them know that that this was not acceptible as I wanted to be sure that my child was going to be in a safe environment. I was told by the administrator that this would not be possible without "scheduling well in advance" to be given a tour. At this point I stopped the intake process. This was after driving almost 200 miles from my home to take my kiddo there.

They will sit on the phone, on their little ipads all day long like they're doing their job or reporting stuff, but in reality they're watching instagram reels and clients are in their rooms doing Um not so good things I shouldn't name so this review doesn't get taken down. Why does nobody know when the group facilitator is going to come when we been waiting an hour and a half. Why does nobody know when lunch is coming but the staff are perfectly fine with getting their doordash here on time. AND WHY THE HELLLL is my food always never showing up but everyone elses is there. Like it's something new everyday. Don't expect to be fed like a normal human being because they treat you like a toddler. With only 3 messily mozzarella sticks to be called a meal. The actual meal that comes is not edible. SHOUT OUT TO MS. D FOR THIS, she tried my delicious blueberry oatmeal with almonds that i chose on the menu, she spit that crap right out Why? Because it taste like horse radish and kangaroo upper lip. It's not just the food that's horrible, and the overall teamwork and organization in the facility. It is the behavior. Not from the clients surprisingly, THE STAFF. They will laugh right in your face for crying. COUGH MS. KIRA. There is police called every other week because they keep kids that wont comply with treatment and like to fight. Not to put anyone on blast even though it is very much neccessary. There were mentally challenged kids being beat up. What did staff do? Nothing. Pls for the love of lord save your kids, send them anywhere else but ambrosia, I hardly made it out in one piece. There were a couple of good councilors but many of the employees were hacks. But my big complaint is the cost. I was told my insurance covered the cost. This was told to me by the admissions office. After release, we get a bill for almost $5000 per day for 35 days. Our insurance covered only a few hundred dollars a day. Getting enrolled was a near emergency situation. I did not take enough time to read the dozens of pages of the contract that were given to me online. Addiction is hard. We all want to do all we can to help ourselves or our loved one recover. In the heat of the moment, this seemed to be the right place. Before you sign, ensure your insurance will or will not cover the ENTIRE price.

This is not a great place, and certainly is not what they will sell you over the phone. I paid for…read moremy boyfriend to come here for addiction recovery. They sold it like it would be the kind of place that warrants 30k for thirty days. The place is a dump. My boyfriend had cockroaches in his "condo," there is NOT a chef on site, the food arrives cold, and the therapy is sub par. His roommate peed on the couch and they "cleaned" it but it smelled like pee the whole time. The property is really run down. They do not get the kind of care described by admissions. Upon leaving one day early, his therapist, Alana, was agitated so she would not release his personal items. My boyfriend checked himself in and we paid without insurance. He has never been in trouble and this was not a court mandated stay. When we were trying to get his things back, Alana told him He was a complete waste of her time. This is not the kind of thing a therapist should say to a client. He trusted her and she completely let him down because he left ONE day early. They told him he couldn't even have his ID to get on the plane (with me) back to Oregon but when we had the sheriff come, they released his ID but would not release his wallet or phone. According to the case manager talking to the police, nobody was in charge and capable of releasing the things. Nobody at the whole facility has the authority to release his things. That's highly questionable. The policy is you give 48 hours notice to check yourself out. My boyfriend gave notice on Friday but his therapist told him he didn't have to fill out the paperwork because it would be fine - then it wasn't. She changed her mind and then there was no paperwork. I do not recommend placing your loved one here. They will not be in good hands. And if you do choose to, you should request that their therapist not be Alana. There were some other HIPAA violations while there that we have to take care of legally. Again, I do not recommend leaving your loved one here.
