Sells small selection of chocolates, magazines and cards of a reasonable price along with cigarrettes which are dramatically overpriced. ATM machine inside although by counter so hard to get to when busy and not really discreet so risk of people seeing screen. Staff are friendly although more so at the confectionary counter than the actual post office counter.

There is also a photocopier available, as well as a range of cards and stationery to buy. You can now top up your mobile phone credit and get your holiday foreign currency at the post office, although you may need to order in advance for more unusual currencies. Staff are generally friendly and attentive, if somewhat slow to serve customers.

Myself and my then housemates were in there on a daily basis and we had a sort of running joke with the owner - If we went in a bought a pint of milk, he'd say "No beer tonight?". The shop became known as 'No Beer Tonight'. When I moved to Selly Park two years ago, this became my closest post office and the first time I went in I was delighted to see that it was being run by Mr No Beer Tonight who, he explained, had moved out of the beer business and into the stamp business. Each time I pop in now I always have a chat with him and his wife (after all these years, we still don't know each others names - I should sort that out) and pass the time of day whilst I get my parcels, or whatever, ready for postage. This is a small post office but as it's a Royal Mail outlet it has all the services you'd normally expect. They have a small selection of goods for sale, but nothing like you'd see in a main or bigger branch. As the place is quite small, with only two counters, you take your chances when you pop in as you could either be the only one in there, or you could be stuck behind a few people, and we all know how annoying that can be. As an aside, this post office has a cash machine on the outside of the building. It's one of the only cash machines in the area, so that's worth knowing, too.

Therefore, you either have to have the right change, which I rarely do, or you have to pay by card. There are also a number or services that they do not cater for anymore (I am not sure why), but you can no longer get your car taxed here. However, the staff have always been polite and quite helpful when I have been in. There is nearly always a queue as it is in quite a busy location, but I have never waited agonisingly long to be served! If you use the post office for things other than general postage services, then I would recommend going elsewhere, however this store is good for stamps and such and they also sell packaging and a couple of cards.

The place is friendly but efficient and the people there seem to make a real effort to get to know you a bit as a person, and friend. Everytime ive been in there to send mail they have always given me really good advice about getting the item to their destination quickly and safely but without paying out unnecesarily for more expensive services. Hence i trust them greatly now for impartial advice. They have a good range of envelopes wrapping tape bubble wrap etc if you need stocks, and they can give good advice and often set up Post Office accounts and services here. Id definitely say they offer a brilliant service and id encourage other people in the area to kleep supporting them, as id hate to see places like this under threaty of closure. Highly recommended.

Rowley Regis is the new London…read more Well maybe not yet but our post office is decent. b looked after shop with friendly staff/owners who also run the convenience store attached to it. Lots of good deals on wines and snacks. Some sweet art magazines i can't believe they stock in Rowley (some i ha vent ever seen in Birmingham). The post office is quick and painless and the ques go down quick even though their is only one booth. Always stocked up to the brim ive never walked away without what i needed from that visit.
