Annual membership is $5 and allows you to bring one guest 21 and over. Everyone is carded here no matter your age, so don't be offended. When you first walk in there are 3 pool tables - two are coin op (there is a change machine) and the "Pro" table is rent by the hour. At the back are three dart boards and the restrooms. Five taps which were heavy on OMB (not a fave) and a moderate selection of canned beer. Was happy to see Hazy Little Thing and Guinness. I just kind of went with the flow my first visit and never really saw a price menu to compare draft vs. can; I believe cans were about $5 each. The Lafayette also offers a cocktail menu to members. Pretty cool hangout. No rowdy people, just chill ones. Not sure if the beer prices will work for or against them - only time will tell. And of course I'll be back, I'm a member now after all....

One of the main highlights these yacht clubs all share is the quality and high level staff and management to make your visit memorable. Well, unfortunately this isn't something the Peninsula Yacht Club shares with them. I've recent resigned my membership and have shipped my boat back to the service I'm accustom to on the Great Lakes. I've never experienced such poor leadership and management while paying for a membership in my 20+ years of boating. Let me begin by saying Kathee Dishner and her lack of visibility of being the General Manager at PYC and the fact she makes no effort getting to know her members is a disgrace to this yacht club and the paying members. She is 100% the reason I resigned after being a member for 5 years. Safe Harbor should be concerned and should reevaluate their choice in having her lead PYC if they are trying to retain members and grow their business. In January 2023 I witnessed Kathee Dishner and her staff engaged in a gross and inappropriate confrontation with multiple members in the lobby after these said members had a 20+ attendee surprise birthday party in their bar. Once again there was no appreciation displayed for our patronage and after this incident many of us never returned to use the amenities of the club. Secondly, I've never experienced the amount of employee turnover at a club that I have at PYC. This is a direct reflection of the poor management and their lack of appreciation for the young men and women who are there to service the PYC members. I do have to pay respect to Mr. Harry Smith who is the marina manager. He and his staff are clearly hands above the shining stars at PYC. They are always there to help in any fashion. Although, Safe Harbor has spent a massive amount of money updating and renovating their clubhouse there has been zero invested in the marina itself other than new gates that never work correctly. The docks themselves have structural issues, the electricity on M-Dock is far underpowered for the size and amount of boats and this has been brought to their attention with no concern. Every month your electric bill is incorrect and multiple customer boats have had electrical component failures due to poor power conditions. I would highly NOT recommend PYC if you are looking for a place that will provide you with great service where you are valued as a member.

The Swanee Theater is a truly unique venue--recently 'brought back to life' within the last 12…read moremonths, it's been really exciting to see such commitment to bring live entertainment to downtown Kannapolis in such a historic/storied setting. This past Thursday was my first time seeing an actual show here and it was the Morgan Wallen Tribute live music event. Tickets were a VERY reasonable $10 (purchased in advance) and the setup inside was very cool because they filled the general open area with high-top bar tables so everyone could sit and watch the show in a comfortable, relaxed environment. The bar was adequately stocked and available throughout the show. Overall, an awesome time. Looking forward to seeing additional shows here in the future.

Having to buy 4 seats to get a table is fine but the tables need to be a little bigger. But overall the few shows we have seen here have been great. We would like to see maybe some B list bands or bands that have come back to do smaller shows like at Village Park. I think this would be the perfect venue for such. Housed in part of an old mill, it makes for an incredibly unique space. The club is broken up into two spaces, a gallery and the bar. The bar is incredibly eclectic, with so much fun and interesting decor to look at. The bar also has a full bar, though the drink prices are on the higher side. The bar tender was very friendly and quick at getting drinks made. They also have a full size piano for music, and I'm told other performers will also bring their own instruments for events to have live music. The parking lot is a bit tight, and shared spots with the Back Table. So some may need to find street parking depending on the size of the event. They don't serve food and my only real complaint is about the lighting. They have a lot of red and blue lights, which may be apparent based on the photos, but when it comes to looking at art, it may be hard to see because of the distortion from the lighting.

We went for a private party and loved the eclectic vibe. This is a funky place like no other I know of in Greensboro. Live music is featured regularly and I am planning to come over for that. She had had eaten the majority of it when she discovered it. My other co-worker had a sweet tasting marinara sauce on his salmon. My chicken was very over cooked and tough to chew. Aside from that, the appetizers were good and the bartenders prepared nice drinks. The desserts were tasty. The DJ did fine. It's hard to accommodate everyone and their preferences when you have a large group but food should be an exception. Bugs should never be in a salad.
