Sherif had much information to share about the history, geography, and wildlife of this beautiful area. Views of the ocean, cliffs, Twelve Apostlesand sunset were stunning. It was fun to see and photograph kangaroos, cockatoos, and even sleeping koalas. Sherif (a professional musician) even performed a very memorable demonstration of the didgeridoo for us. And I would give this tour a five star except the lunch was merely a light snack that included two small sausages, potatoes, and a salad and since it's a ~13hr tour, everyone was quite hungry by the end. Anyway, we got to see the koalas and were lucky enough to see one awake, walking and climbing a tree! We didn't get to see the kangaroos due to the season but that's out of the tour guide's control. The major highlights of our tour were the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge! The pictures don't do justice, you'll have to go there and see them for yourself! We were a little late to come back to the bus a couple of times and he kept ridiculing us over the microphone in front of all the other tourists on the bus with us, and at one point he threatened to leave us behind. I cannot recommend this tour group. Late to the bus or not, he was our tour guide. He could have handled it in a more professional, discreet and understanding way. Instead he made the whole Great Ocean Road experience pretty miserable. I was just glad to get off the bus and get out of Melbourne altogether after that.

I was the only Asian in the tourist group, so before I boarded the coach, she confirmed with me that I'm from Singapore and could understand English well. Throughout the journey, she introduced various landmarks and history behind them to us. She also took the initiative to take photos for us. Enough time was given for us to explore various scenic spots. Before arriving at the next destination, she also explained in detail the kind of terrain and environment to expect, so that we could self-assess, based on our individual physical fitness level, if it's suitable to participate in a certain activity. On the way, she played a wide selection of music to make the lengthy ride more enjoyable. It must be physically demanding to take care of so many tourists and driving at the same time. I'll give her five stars out of five for her exceptional professionalism.

The drive on the shuttle was smooth and comfortable, about one hour each way. The park itself is amazing - well worth the visit! It's a really big zoo, so the time Zoobus allows for the sanctuary visit was just perfect too. We arrived at 10am which offered us just over four hours to see all of the animal enclosures, read all the facts, stop for a healthy lunch and enjoy the bird show. Our driver was really friendly and was eager to answer my questions on the area and places we were passing by. And most importantly, it felt very safe the way he drove. What a great day! We had 31 tourists in our group, but it seemed smaller. He gave us time to take photos, but didn't make photos the overwhelming reason for our tour. Instead, he gave us a real sense of the city. Rian kept up our pace making sure we were all safe crossing streets. I would highly recommend this tour.

Some points of interest visited were: - Old Melbourne Gaol, a former prison where Ned Kelly (a bushranger who was considered both a hero and a villain) was hung, and it's now part of RMIT University and a museum - Princess Theater, where a seat is always left unoccupied in honor of Frederick Federici, and the theater is supposedly haunted by his ghost - Chinatown, the oldest Chinatown in Australia and filled with cheap eats - Federation Square, a large public space great for televising live sporting events as well as for rioting - Flinders Station, the largest and busiest metro station in Melbourne - various alleyways that have cute cafés and restaurants that are prefect for bunch and lunch - street art that's legal at some alleyways
