I LOVE this place!…read more I found Good Hope looking for volunteer opportunities for my 14 y.o. daughter. The work that Peggy and her staff do is indescribably wonderful! Not only is the place clean and well kept, but the horses are well groomed, well cared for, and well loved. These beautiful animals are trained to work with special needs children and adults. The horse's power and strength is able to empower a rider who cannot walk, or cannot talk, or maybe cannot sit upright without assistance. Peggy and her staff are gentle, yet stern to both the horse and the rider. Peggy keeps everyone safe, and has at least 3 other people helping the rider at all times. She always asks the rider if they are having fun, but also always reinforces the need for safety. The grounds are a little slice of heaven. Even if you just need some time to commune with nature, take a ride down south, park your car, and sit in the shade to watch the little miracles performed here. You will not regret the trip!
