I am truly appalled at the way I was treated by the staff at Aiken OBGYN today. I have NEVER…read moreexperienced such unprofessional and inappropriate behavior at a doctor's office before. I met with Christy, the nurse practitioner, a few weeks ago and was prescribed antibiotics. I have been taking the antibiotics for about 5 days and they have been causing me to be very nauseous and sick. I was very sick this morning and was worried about taking the AM dose. I am aware that antibiotics are usually supposed to be taken on a strict schedule, so I called the Aiken OBYN office hoping for guidance. I spoke with a receptionist (as soon as I find out the name I will edit this post), and asked what I should do. She had a very rude tone with me but still transferred me over to Christy's direct phone line, and I left a message regarding my issue. I left the first message at 8:54 AM. Around 11:26AM;, I started getting worried that I wouldn't hear back by the time I would have already missed the morning dose. I decided to give another call to politely ask if it was possible they could mark the voicemail as urgent, so I could ensure a response by the end of the day. I was extremely kind and understanding in my delivery of this. I am aware that they have other patients and I am not the most important person in the world. All I was asking is that they mark the message so it wouldn't be disregarded. After politely asking that question, the receptionist responds to me and says in a very rude tone "the doctors are busy and we can't stop the whole office for you". I was extremely shocked by this and word for word said "I was not asking that, and you really don't need to be rude to me about it." The receptionist seemed to have an attitude change and connected me directly to Christy, the nurse practitioner. Then, I am speaking with Christy and she states she will phone in an anti-nausea medication. After the conversation seemed to be done, I said something along the lines of "I'm sorry if you guys felt I was being pushy, that wasn't my intention, and I know you guys are busy." Christy then responds to me and says, "the receptionist told me you called her an extremely foul name and I would appreciate it if you didn't talk to my staff like that." I told Christy that I asked the receptionist to not be rude with me, and did not call anyone any negative names. She honestly didn't even seem to believe me and I told her I will be writing a review about this. I called back and spoke with the front desk supervisor. She said she would handle it and call me back shortly, and I never received a follow-up phone call from her. I do not appreciate that I was lied about and how I was treated today. This has caused me extreme emotional distress. I feel ashamed and embarrassed when I didn't do anything wrong or call anyone any names. Unfortunately, I still need to go to this doctor because the only other OGBYN's in Aiken are booked months down the line. I have never felt so shocked by a business in my life. I was treated extremely horribly, and it doesn't seem like Aiken OBYN is going to do anything about it and that is very disappointing to me. UPDATE: no action was taken by Aiken OBGYN except deleting my review on their facebook and completely deleting their google review page. Found a way better and more professional gyno. See anyone else! Please!

Prior to her appointment we had to pick up paperwork for an order for bloodwork. We go to pick the order up and no one seems to have any idea what we are talking about. We spoke with someone the day before and she assured us the paperwork would be left upfront. This office is very unorganized!

When I got married and was added to my husbands insurance policy I needed a PCP, Dr Bryan was…read morelisted with my insurance company so I contacted the office to start the process of becoming a new patient. It did take a few weeks to get my initial appointment, but the wait was worth it. Danielle and Dr Bryan are amazing. Danielle instantly made me feel comfortable and has a very welcoming and outgoing personality, and I am a hard stick when it comes to blood draws but when it came time for my labs she got it on the first stick and it was painless and quick, not something I get to say very often. Dr Bryan took the time to review all of my past medical problems, current concerns and health goals. She ordered all the usual labs on would expect and a few additional based off my concerns. She set me up with referrals for cardiology right away as well a mental health referral due to my history with depression and anxiety. She also made sure I know my options for emergency mental health care if I found myself in a situation that I needed it. When my labs were back Danielle called me with the results and let me know what prescriptions Dr Bryan was recommeding and had called in for me. During my follow up visit the labs were reviewed in detail and a plan for future labs and medicaiton changes were made. I never fell rushed and I know I have a provider that is going to listen and ensure I have all the tools I need. AND YES this was all while they were transitioning to a new patient portal and system.

They should have told me months ago that they do t take new patients. I have a daughter with a very serious illness and by the end of the last conversation I had with them , they told me to come get my paperwork and not to establish care at their facility. I absolutely do not recommend wasting your time with this place.

Durring my treatment i had to work w 4 different therapists, and all were great. But if ya have to go, ask for Jimmy, he was my main therapist, and i am able to walk again!!!
