I asked about the price of a tune-up; he said "$150, but you don't need a full tune-up. We will only charge what you need." I asked about the crank shaft. He said it was fine. I had issues with the brake lines, but no crank shaft issues. This is significant because I went to the Erik's on 135th St., Overland Park, KS before going to the 95th St. location. I was told the crank shaft needed to be replaced and the cost would be about $147 (including labor). They said if the bike can't be repaired, I could get a comparable bike for $850. I am so glad I followed my instincts at went to the 95th St. location for a second opinion. Great service and honest values goes a long way and I will always return to Erik's on 95th St. Thank you!

The way he spoke with my daughter to help fit her to the right bike was just so sweet. He was helpful and encouraging of her. He was also very respectful. Always asking if he could hold on to her shoulder to show her how to ride or to hold my son's head to try on the helmet. I went to him looking to replace my 11 year old Elliptical and after he showed me the Arc Trainer, I was sold! I have difficulty with my knees so I'm always looking for exercises that don't put additional strain on my joints. This equipment is really amazing - there are so many different ways you can work out on this machine to target certain areas and you get an overall awesome workout! It's commercial grade so I know it will last a long time. Also, want to give a shout out to Craig, Adam and their team that delivered the Arc Trainer. This wasn't easy, as the machine is over 400 lbs and they had to take it down 16 steps to the basement! They were all very friendly and accommodating. All that to say, I'm a fan. I've been a fan now for years and I have some leggings that I'm going on my tenth year with, so I think for the price and the comfort they tend to hold up pretty well. Now onto this location. I love that they moved. The old spot was small-ish, and not really conducive to browsing. I popped into this one a few times recently, first on my birthday to browse and really enjoyed taking in the sales, and trying on some things, finally settling on some great sweaters. I was really relieved to find that the salespeople working nowadays were such a breath of fresh air from the visits I made ca. 2015. They were people of all shapes and sizes, and they were friendly. I hadn't been into a Lulu in some time so I asked the woman working the floor if they still did repairs as I had a pile of old leggings that had tears and holes that I was hoping to get stitched up at some point. She told me that they stopped that policy but that they do exchanges in most situations if they don't hold up. I was honestly flabbergasted as that seemed almost too good to be true. Needless to say I went home, packed up all my old leggings that had holes and came back a few days later. Now, when I came back there were different sales people on the floor and while they were all very kind, they lacked the confidence the first woman had about me getting these exchanged. They agreed that they had this policy but TWO of them spent a solid 5-10 minutes lecturing me on how to care for my leggings properly. It was almost as if they didn't believe me that I do follow the care instructions (because I do), and that I haven't been a customer for a decade. At the end of the day I got all but one pair exchanged, and they take detailed notes now on which ones you exchanged, why, and add it to your file - I'm assuming so you don't do this a ton. Overall I'm glad I was able to get them exchanged and it certainly extends the life of a product that is still very pricey for what it is. But, I'd honestly rather they bring back their repair policy. I would have been just as happy getting my pants repaired without all of the lecturing and shaming that they put me through just to honor their own policy. I reiterate that they were overall nice and not mean about it, but it definitely made me feel like I was doing something wrong, when I'm just trying to use their product as they intended, with the guarantees they commit to with their performance.
