I've had to call A-1 twice in the last five years. The first time the door just wasn't opening and…read moreclosing...I couldn't adjust the sensors right so I called them. They fixed it and I asked "Do I need a new motor?" The answer was no the the charge was very reasonable for a service call down to Canyon Texas (about 20 minutes from their office.) The second time was a couple years later and I was opening and closing the door and broke a gear. They came out and replaced the gear. I again asked, "Do I need a whole new unit?" The answer was it should last a few more years and no. Again, the charge was much less than I expected. This company is honest and come out quickly. It would be easy for them to sell me a new unit, but they fixed the problem and saved me a lot of money instead of selling me something I may not need. Unbelievable in this day and I recommend them to all my friends that mention a problem with their garage door. A great company and TWICE they have proven to be honest and a low cost service. I trust them. Dan Garcia

We tried contacting him dozens of times over months, and the number of interactions was maybe 5 at most. He literally took our money and ran. Called shortly after 8 after trying to get ahold of a different company that was recommended by a family member and was on their schedule in no time. Jose sent a text that he was on his way, with a link to track his progress. Showed up and got right to work. Helped get the door open so I could get our vehicles out of his way, and watched over it the whole time while I moved them around front. He is extremely knowledgeable and quick. Went ahead and replaced both springs on his recommendation, and a bit of googling saying the other probably wasn't far behind. Jose was willing to answer all of my questions with his vast knowledge and sense of humor. He is honest and doesn't try to just get you to buy something you don't need. I would definitely call Dockins Overhead Door again.
