Love the endless amount of flavors!! There's a flavor for everyone's taste palette. Service was fast and workers are super kind and accommodating! Perfect for the hot Central Valley heat with tons of shaded seating areas. Will definitely be back when I'm back in the area!
I love the soft ice and the brick and mortar location, however the long time of the year they are closed over winter doesn't make sense. Don't we also have smoothies and ice cream year round? Why not snowballs? The exterior could use a little love with cleaning out by the picnic tables but I love that there is a place to sit and enjoy the snowballs. The staff could be friendlier. I'm a bit disappointed they don't have real cherries as a topping. Overall, a good treat, if they are open in the month you want them.

My kiddo the second time asked for a half and half of two of their special ice cones and they totally did it! I didn't think they would. Such a fun stop after we do our ninja classes down the street. Nice employee's plenty of space and a nice treat
What a great jewel this place is! The snowball is perfect every time and the flavors are crazy good. I found this place a few years ago and continue to go back with grandkids and friends. Sometimes I even go by myself.! Today I took a friend who had never been there before and she was impressed. The young gentleman who made mine, I believe his name was Torin, was friendly and personable. He also came out and was wiping off the tables, which is a nice thing to see being done. The owner is often on site and is a friendly great guy. I would totally recommend pelican snowballs.

While in Fresno I decided to try this place. Mainly because I see they are building one near my parents home in Decatur TX and I was interested to see if it was any good, ya know, being that I'm a shaved ice/snow cone connoisseur. The building was really cute and I liked how much outdoor seating they had available to enjoy your treat. The service was also great and very fast despite there being quite a few ppl there. The snow cone itself was just okay sadly. I got half sour cherry and half pink lemonade. This is one of my classic combos. The cherry was decent and had a good flavor. The pink lemonade sadly lacked in flavor and was very mild. I really couldn't pick up much flavor on that side at all. The snow cone also wasn't as juicy as I would've liked. I would gibe the snowcone itself a 2.5/5 but overall a 3/5 because the service was good and it was a cute building. I'll give them a try again here in Texas for some different flavors and see if it may change my view on it!

I asked the worker what the most popular flavors were and he said one was the superhero, which was a mixed or blueberry and cherry. Service was fast and friendly and it tasted great.
If it's hot outside and you're debating whether to come to Pelican's or not... stop reading reviews on yelp and just go! But if you do want a more in-depth review... This is SUCH a cute spot located in Old Town Clovis. It used to be a gas station, but is now a colorful and busy snow cone spot. The snow cones are a reasonable price! There are four different sizes, over 100 flavors, and several toppings to choose from. Seating areas are shaded and include games like corn hole and connect 4. Service is pretty quick (only takes about a minute for your cone to be ready) but sometimes the line does get a bit long! Other notes: $1 discount for US Military, Law Enforcement, Fire & Rescue (in uniform). There are also "pup cups" for $1-- which I'm guessing is just shaved ice. If you're in Fresno/Clovis, you have to pay this place a visit!

So rude! Basically just called my daughter a liar! She waited in line forever and then only got 1 when she paid for 2. She politely asked for her other one and they told her "I ALREADY GAVE YOU 2" what kind of customer service is that! Horrible just Horrible! & look at the 2nd 1 she gave her! She said, I'll give you another one and laughed and whispered to her co worker. The other one looked fine. So rude!
The dude and I came to Pelicans on 06/16/20 about 15 minutes before closing and the line was pretty long still but it moves fast. While waiting in line they have a wheel of all their flavors that you can spin if you are indecisive of what flavor to try, which is pretty neat! They have like over 50 flavors to choose from and you can add cream if you want as they have several cream flavors. The staff inside Pelicans were not wearing masks nor many people in line either but my dude and I were. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the prices are affordable too!! I ended up picking Watermelon and pomegranate which the Pomegranate over powered the watermelon flavor so I only tasted the Pomegranate and my shaved ice was SO sweet.i was not to fond of my mix but it was still good. The dude ended up getting Carmel and sweeten condensed milk. His was pretty good as well and he loved his creation. He even went back and got a second one which was pineapple and cream. It tasted so artificial not like pineapple at all :( it mostly tasted like sugar and that's it but the dude liked it. I honestly prefer Italian Ice as it taste more rich, less sweet and good. But overall, I tried the hype of this place and it wasn't bad but was not the best. I am open up trying them again on the future.

There are MANY flavors to choose from, you will find something you love. If you can't decide, they have a wheel you can spin to try something new! They offer sugar free syrup options as well, just ask what they have in stock. Workers are friendly and will help recommend flavor combinations as well. They're quick to get your ice and spoon in your hand, no waiting. You can sit and enjoy your treat under the shaded patio which has several bright painted tables and benches. There's also another shaded square you can sit u by the spin wheel if the tables fill up. I'd say it's a bit on the high end for ice and syrup but it is quite the perfect treat when the heat starts coming in and I can't imagine you'd walk away unsatisfied by your visit. Next time I'll try the cream top!

We've been coming here in summer for years. It's often lively and crowded. There are an enormous number of flavors and fixings to get your sno-cone / shave ice or whatever you want to call it! It's a fun ambiance with picnic tables and games outside the walk up window, like giant connect 4 and cornhole. The people who work there are fast and friendly but my one comment would be to come outside and wipe down the tables regularly. They get drippy and sticky. It's a fun little family tradition to come here. read more

Quality control has really gone down. I ordered a coconut stuffed snow ball with whipped cream on top, light syrup. As you can see the ice cream was on the top, there was so much syrup my ice melted rather quickly. Over all meh. My husband ordered a 2 flavor snowball...only got the one. read more
I really wasn't interested in going to Clovis for a snow cone - how special can they be - but my wife really wanted to try it out, so off we went. Even walking up to the place once we parked, I told my wife I probably wasn't going to have one. But watching people picking there's up and enjoying them, and reading the huge list of flavors, convinced me to try one. My blueberry and cherry/peach mix was truly delicious. We will be returning. read more

This is the best snowcone I've had!! I really love this place, I don't make it very often but I do look forward to coming here when I get the chance! The staff is friendly and the service is quick! They have their own little seating and it's colorful and fun. Definitely recommend this place!! read more

This place is really yummy. Especially on a very hot day like today. There are lots of flavors. They even have sugar free. Syrups are not made with high fructose corn syrup so that's definitely a plus for us. They have excellent customer service. Very nice a helpful staff. This is definitely the place for us to get snow cones from now on. The shaved ice is very soft. A regular size is perfect to have your own. Definitely not enough to share :) They have a small little area for people to enjoy bean bag toss, play connect four, and blocks for the kids to build. They have seating outside. Picnic bench and table style. we will be back very soon! read more

I love this place so much!!! It's one of my favorite place to go in the summer or when it's just hot. The snow cones are so good and they have more than 100 flavors! The service is really fast and really nice. Their prices range from $1-$10, there are 4 different sizes, kiddie, regular, large and avalanche. They also have a pup cup for $1. The kiddie is perfect for a younger kid and an avalanche is what you want if you really want to cool down from the heat, especially if you just finished a sport!! read more

I saw this place on "Hot and New" places while down the street a few days ago and added it to my bookmarks. I thought it was a cutesy place to take my dog and children (but mostly my dog). Any place that serves a cold sweet treat is mighty fine in my books. Any place that serves sweet treats and has over 100 flavors deserves a shiny star and also having a flavor for my fur baby deserves 4 stars +. When we arrived it was pretty busy. There was, hmmm I would say 4 people in front of me and maybe 6 I'm back and they still managed to pop these Snoballs out in a timely matter. Everyone here is super friendly and knows the meaning of quality customer service. I didn't try my kid's Snoballs but mine was so good. It was the egg custard with cream. It tasted like the center of a Mexican bread, you know the one filled with the custard.....yeah that one! It was icy goodness and every spoonful was refreshing. I'll be back! read more

Even in the cold this was well worth it, this being my first time and recommended by a friend I didn't know what to expect and seeing so many flavors to choose from i was a little bit overwhelmed but soon as i picked flavors I decided to get the smallest ones just to try them out Strawberry cheese cake with cream- i started with just cheese cake but i was informed of there being a strawberry flavored one upon ordering so i was quickly sold on the idea, no soon after was told if i would like to add cream on it and that it adds a different texture and flavor to the whole thing, interested by the fact that it would be on a snow cone i agreed to see what it was like and I'm very glad i did. It had a sweet flavor as if i was eating a cheese cake in ice form Lemonade with sour spray - as i am a big fan of lemonade and all things sour i thought this was a great combination and it was the sour does have a good kick to it for all the sour lovers out there All and all this is a amazing place to check out, wild flavors, very friendly staff, and a uplifting atmosphere i would definitely come here again and try some new combinations read more
