Beautiful, prime location and the gentleman that's been working the store/campground the last few days has been incredibly kind/personable. The beach down the trail is absolutely gorgeous, being just down the road from the Rits it looks like a scene right out of a movie. The campground is emmaculate and laid back to boot. We had a great experience, brought our puppy, had lovely easy access coastal walks and down to the beach and enjoyed sunset view at the neighboring ritz Carlton . Private showers and bathrooms if you need, hoses to rinse off sand from the beach. Very dog friendly, nice people that stayed there and great people that work here. One star less due to noisy on-site construction being completed and not being advised of said construction when we made reservations. We probably wouldn't of booked there if construction was in progress. On the positive side, the staff is very friendly and the sites are well equipped with full hook-ups, WiFi, and cable TV. It's an easy walk to the North and South Coastal trails which will lead you to some fantastic photo opportunities along the pristine golf course. You do have to watch out for the golfers in their carts. If you take the Coastal Trail North, it will take you past the Ritz-Carlton Hotel which is a beautiful resort. The beach access is really easy to get to and is accessible to all. The weather this time of the year (mid October) was awesome. We're really looking forward to coming back after construction is completed. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights a couple weeks ago. The staff was super friendly. The prices are right in line with all the other RV parks but you do get the beach just a few steps away. The spots were easy to park in and overall the guests were respectful. The staff did walk around and check things out quite a bit which was nice because there were a few people with dogs off leash which gets annoying when you have dogs of your own. The only reason for four stars was because the bathrooms were consistently dirty and one time out of toilet paper. They probably just need more restrooms for the amount of spots they have. read more

I recently stayed here and had a wonderful experience! The staff were friendly and very helpful. It is also a five minute walk to the beach! However the spots are not very well spaced and it was hard to get our 30ft trailer into the spot. We stayed in sight #10 . The bathrooms weren't the cleanest but they were fine. For 100.00 a night this place is in a great location but our Rv spot (#10) was tiny. We had no view but you could walk down to a coastal trail in 5 min to enjoy a nice walk and the beautiful ocean/beaches view. There were only 2 bathrooms and the showers were in the bathroom with no separation so you couldn't take a shower if someone was in the bathroom or vice versa. Also, the bathrooms smelled horrid every single time I went in there. It would be nice if they put a wall diffuser in the restrooms. Also, the bathroom was not clean. I am still going to give 4 stars as it is a nice location and happy to be in Half Moon Bay. No read more

When we arrived at our camp site it hadn't been mowed (weeds). Had to pick up two large piles of dog poop. Sites were very close together and had to park our car in the neighbor's site It felt like. For the price you pay internet was not included. In order to watch tv you had to get a box from them (no charge). They were redoing their driveway and would start working at 7:45 am. Dump trucks and excavators all day long. We were not made aware of this before. Our last Night we asked to get our money back and leave. They refused To refund the night. read more

First off, we stayed here 20 years ago and LOVED it. We had rented an RV that one time only. Now that we own our own RV we decided to go back. I was super nervous after reading these terrible reviews and wondered what went wrong.... turns out NOTHING! As I have found with most bad reviews of RV parks they are unfounded and not what I experience at all. I like nice things so I kind of have high expectations and guess what? Pelican Point RV met them all and exceeded some! First off, i found their rates very reasonable. Full- Hook-Ups including Cable. Clean paved spots. The proximity to a fabulous beach is just a short walk away, and right on the beautiful PGA golf course at the Ritz which you can partake in a round if golf even staying here. With all of that the rates were still reasonable. Second the staff was amazingly friendly and accommodating. Super nice and informative. The store is small but has what you could need and want for a treat or even a quick repair. They HAVE propane on site!!! And it was reasonably priced as well. Amenities... clean paved spots with room to park a vehicle, extra cars are a mere 2 dollars extra a day. Full easy to use hook-ups, cable TV as well as wifi if you are up close to the office. Clean restrooms and showers. Even a dog area with doggie bags!!! Close to walking the coastal trail and to the beach. Super close to town and restaurants. Yes they have full time residents and no one was unfriendly. Most parks do have full timers. Doesn't bother me a bit. It felt super safe, we could see a peak of the ocean from our spot. We loved it so much we already re-booked once and are looking to rebook again! read more

We do not recommend this park. The location of the park itself is breathtaking, but the staff especially Judy is the rudest, nastiest person I have ever encountered. She ruins the whole experience with her nasty attitude and outright lies. She is arrogant, condescending, and dismissive. The staff argue with each other in front of costumers which makes for a very uncomfortable experience. We felt very uncomfortable the whole time we were there. If I could give zero stars I would and only because of Judy and Mike. We heard from other campers that they have had similar experiences with Judy. She has no business being the face of Pelican Point. read more

If there was a 10 star option they would get it! awesome park, very clean and well manicured, great view and the staff was very accommodating to our needs, we had a plumbing issue on our coach and Mike was helpful to get the problem rectified so that he insured our visit was trouble free and that our issue we were going to continue to have was properly repaired. I tried to pay him and he refused to take my money. Great guy!! I love this place and have it on our map as a must go to when in the area! read more

Great place that has awesome access to the beach and over 5 miles of bike/walk path. We were even able to ride our bikes to get groceries from Safeway. The sites are cramped but you will most likely be able to see the ocean and maybe the sunset from your site. We stayed for 5 nights. The staff are nice although they don't wear mask. General supplies in the store that includes beer and wine. The only really issue I had was with the sewer pipe. It was not threaded and therefore did not do a good job of holding my connector. This created a mess when we were taking everything down to leave. During our road trip we stayed at 40 other Campgrounds and never encountered a sewer pipe like this. read more

New managers at Pelican Park!! Michael & Judy are friendly & make you feel welcome! They have put a great staff in place( James & Ryan & Daphne) who are working hard to keep the maintenance of the park upgraded. They have made the park relaxed & a happy place to be. While we are a small park with few amenities like larger parks,( laundry, 2 bathroom/showers, multi-use room) it's all about location! 5 min to the beach, 30 min to SF, 10 min to HMB with restaurants & coffee shops, golf at the Ritz, there's always something going on. Walking trails, bike trails are close by. Do a lot or do nothing at all but sit and enjoy listening to the waves crashing & birds calling. Great spot for bird watching. read more

We absolutely love this RV park!! From day one the staff has been amazing! They are all incredibly friendly and went to great lengths to ensure we had a fantastic stay. We have been full time Rv'ing for a little while now with our children and have traveled across the country. This has been our favorite campground and definitely the best staff we've encountered. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a park that is quiet, clean, GREAT Wi-Fi, walks along the beach on a paved walkway, golfing, surfing etc. There is a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, and fuel stops within 10 minutes of the park. This place does book quickly because of its location so be sure to book ahead of time. We look forward to future visits at Pelican Point!! read more

This park I really had high hopes for, but when you are in your space, your neighbor parks in front of your picnic table right outside your RV door I was excited thinking I didn't have to eat next to My vehicle cause I'm in a fifth wheel and parked our truck on other side of trailer but then our neighbors parking ace is in front of our front door next to table I asked office if I could park there cause I'd rather look at my truck instead of someone else's if it has to be in my face but they said no, that it isn't my spot to park Im disappointed because I'm here for 3 days and my husband said well just stay busy and not hang out I'd rather leave but we drove 61/2 hours to get here I'm in space33 read more

I absolutely love Pelican Point. The staff there are the friendliest I've ever come across as are the permanent residents. By the time I left there I felt like part of their family. The pads are crazy close together. I mean, it is *slightly* better than a Walmart parking lot because it has hookups, but not worth the money other than being walking distance to a beautiful beach. The bathrooms were still being remodeled (I think the signs said they should have been done some time ago), so maybe Walmart has the leg up because they have bathrooms for free. The stack of dirty toilets prominently displayed by the entrance was a nice first thing to see and kind of sets the tone. The 30A power pedestal wasn't working. Did I say you have no room? The neighbors RV opens about 2 feet from the side of your truck. You are facing your neighbors RV just a few feet away. The owner operated the loudest blower available for what seemed like three hours, on the same 20' square of asphalt. We couldn't get into Francis Beach just a few miles North so we took a couple nights at Pelican Point. Never again. Surprising number of families with kids living there on a long-term basis in a 30'x12' pad. read more

I read the 1 star reviews and kept an objective mind before forming my own opinion. Here is what we found after staying 2 nights at Pelican Point: 1. Yes, there are a lot of full time residents at this park. So be it. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly, engaging, and did not look down at the folks that were there for a night or two. 2. The park is, from my observations, making vast improvements to the transient RV sights with new asphalt and concrete pads for us temporary visitors. Yes, parking is a little snug but it wasn't a deal breaker. 3. The bathroom remodel is complete and they have very nice showers, are clean, and appear to be well maintained. 4. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and personable. 5. The front office is well stocked with the stuff you forgot. The $1 DVD rental is a nice touch with something for all ages and likes. Also a nice selection beer, wines, and a well stocked ice cream freezer! 6. It's evident that they are making improvements throughout the facility to make it an enjoyable experience for all. 7. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. The Ritz-Carlton is a 10 minute walk as is some of the best golf on the California coast (Half Moon Bay Golf Links). 8. Didn't have a need for the dog walking area but it was clean and inviting for Fido. So, for all you 1 star reviewers, pack it up and take it somewhere else. Makes it easier for me to get a reservation the next time I'm in Half Moon Bay. We will return to this park. read more

This RV park is well maintained and located within a 5 minute walk to the beach. It borders the ritz Carlton golf course. The best part of the park, however, are the park managers, Ryan and Judy. Great place to beat the heat! We left the soaring temperatures inland and found blue skies and cool air on the coast. Pelican Point is a great place to walk the coast trail and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Easy in and out of the RV Park, clean bathrooms, convenient BBQ pits and fire wood and friendly staff. Horrible experience. Construction going on all week and we were put in a spot right next to it. Big tractors and bulldozers, extremely noisy. I know construction workers work M-F but why put us right next to them. Not told about the construction going on when we made our reservation. When we spoke to the manager about how disappointed we were with our stay he could have cared less. Will NEVER go there again and will tell everyone I know not to go either. read more

A wonderful place to spend the weekend. Our site was level and easy for me to back onto. Staff was friendly and polite. Nice dog walk area. I really don't have any complaints about Pelican Point RV park. But then again I'm not really someone that is a complainer. No park is perfect. We will return this year. Stayed here May 17 to 20 2019 Some good improvements especially the bathrooms. Looks like a lot of unfinished projects going on. Staff was friendly and efficient. Our pad was new and level cable worked good water pressure sewer hook up was convenient. I was surprised by how many long term RV's there are. Not surprised with the cost of Bay Area housing. Upon checking-out we were told we broke the rules all weekend and we weren't allowed back! Thank goodness we're on the same page and we will definitely take their advice and spend our money else where! GOOD LUCK! If you're over 55 with no kids, planning on living there and being a hermit crab inside your RV, then this is the place for you! NO THANKS! Too many other options along the coast to camp, then this negative environment! Management and employees need a happy pill and be grateful for their surroundings so others camping can enjoy themselves and soak up the ocean air! SO SAD! read more

I have been camping for over 20 years and this was the worst campground I have ever stayed at with my family. It has a nice location but the entire staff is extremely rude. They are obsessed with telling you what you can't do. We counted over 30 signs stating what you can't do. It seems like most people staying there are permanent residents. This is the fifth year we've come here and continue to enjoy it - in fact it is now much more relaxed and easier to enjoy as you don't fear anyone coming out and yelling at you for something trivial! The new management is working hard on getting this beautiful campground back in shape and the location of course is perfect! The fact that you can enjoy a walk on the beach or along the Ritz golf course trail without having to walk on a road is great. Also, downtown HMB with its' great restaurants is a 3 minute drive away. All in all, definitely a pace to consider when spending a night or a month in an RV in HMB. read more
