Most Korean restaurants serve side dishes and they had 10 different side dishes! Awesome! The kimchi is very traditional, they added little shrimp to the spicy rub for that distant taste. The kimchi was a bit young (hasn't been marinated in the mix long enough for a strong flavour) but was edible. The soups were quite nice. They were rich in flavour and had plenty of seafood and tofu (though there wasn't a lot of pork belly). But are they the best I've ever had? Mmm maybe not. Still, it was good. The table next to ours had ordered the Ming bean pancake and it looked amazing - so I would try that one next time. Quality/Quantity - Overall, the food was good. I believe our guest/host ordered al a carte...? Here are some of the foods we ate, in my own words/names, not menu names. Peking Duck in Crepes rather than our traditional American buns. Lettuce Wrap. Seafood Rice Dish - Shrimp, Scallops, Etc. Mushroom and Broccoli. Glass Noodle Dish. Chicken Clay Pot. Pork Spareribs. Whole Fish. Tofu and Bok Choy Dish. Beef Chow Fun. Clam Dish. Overall, all the dishes were good, but we were here more for the company. Atmosphere - This is an "old school" Chinese banquet restaurant. Back in the day, these were VERY popular, but not so much these days. In the U.S., they are closing by the day... Open 6 days a week from 10:30am or 11am to 9:30pm. Tuesday offers lunch only, and they are closed Mondays. Yelp hours differ; see my picture. Free mall parking, we got lucky and got the very first non handicap space next to the mall restaurant entrance. It's always full but not quite to the point where you have to wait. The onsen eggs on toast and salmon was okay, but tasted a bit too ordinary. I saw both the ex Masterchef contestants hard at work. I liked seeing that they were personally behind the food and care about delivering quality food to customers. Too often these days, a celebrity chef will leave the restaurant to run itself.

It's a delight to see them hard at work in the kitchen when we visit and even more so when we see them truly embodying their name, bantering with their staff and checking in to make sure they've eaten.
