Awesome buffet plenty to choose from. Staff was on it. Spacious location. Easy access plenty of parking

At first glance there was a good selection and everything looked appealing. By the time I reached the end of the buffet where the plates were, there was a smell of cigarette smoke and something else I couldn't pinpoint. I discounted the smell and proceeded down the line. There was steam coming from the Buffet bar itself, but everything I chose was lukewarm or cold. I went for staple items that I was sure I knew what they were like noodles, honey, chicken, crab, Rangoon's, shrimp fried rice, pepper chicken, green beans, dumplings ... And the only thing edible was the pepper chicken and the green beans and they were at room temperature. I arrived at 1:15 in the afternoon. There were several people in the restaurant. It was a very drab ambience with no music playing. My server was the only bright spot in the place. She was very sweet. I do not recommend this restaurant, and I hate that I didn't review yelp before going. This was a waste of money. read more

Wanted Chinese, so we stopped by and was immediately told to leave because of my service dog. Was secluded to the back of the restaurant next to the back kitchen door. Mold on the ceiling, holes in the ceiling, storage boxes in the corner. No lighting except for the windows. The only reason we even got seated was because ANOTHER CUSTOMER told the staff that a service dog is a medical necessity. It was hard to breathe and me and my partner felt disgusted just staying there. Could stomach one plate and paid $33. Debated not paying and arguing the price, but after that we just wanted to leave. The food is junk, egg soup was about the only thing edible on the whole buffet and we are not picky people.

Are used to eat here at least once a week I am saddened to write the following review because this was my go to place for food. I knew according to the newspaper they had previously been shut down for a violation. Never would I have imagined what I would later find in my food. Across the street do we walked from Hampton Inn. They have a buffet- but check it out before you decide. It didn't look great to me. A lot of choices but more southern food than Chinese. They have sushi but realize it is fake "krab" and everything in sushi is cooked. I didn't try so can't tell you if it was good or not. But we did order the combination dinner - egg roll (not very good) wonton soup (okay), choice of selected dinners and choice of rice or lo mein. Kung Pao chicken and broccoli beef were okay. They were freshly cooked and hot and had some flavor. Not the best but acceptable. Honestly, we were tired from driving all day and didn't want to drive anymore - so close was good. read more

Peking Restaurant - orange chicken that tastes like nothing - Chinese Near Me - Ruston, Louisiana

The food is good and the price is great. It was under $22.00 for me, my daughter, (kids under the age of three eat free) and her mother. They have less of a selection than Hibachi in West Monroe and their sushi doesn't taste as good. Plus, they don't have the Rock and Roll or Spicy Mayo that Hibachi has. They only have Sriracha. I love Sriracha, but sushi without Rock and Roll or Spicy Mayo just doesn't work for me. If you can do without those two sauces and you like Peking, then I'm sure you'll find this a four-star buffet. The staff is very friendly and it is, in my opinion, better than the West Monroe location and miles better than the Monroe location. read more

All I can say is no. Dont waste your time, extremely overpriced if you're not getting buffet and it tastes pretty gross to be honest. The service is terrible, it was my first time there and took me 10 minutes to figure out that I have to go up to the counter and order because they sat us and gave us drinks and didn't come back for a pretty long while. The church crowd was rushing the place all day from noon to well on in the evening so I knew the food had to been good for the locals to flood the joint the way they were . Well I finally decided to make a order to go so that I would have enough food to last me all day and night (Truck driver on a budget ) . Well for shrimp lomein shrimp fried rice extra eggs and a order of wings tired out to $25 bucks which was a bit high to me but I went on with the flow . Well after getting my food I was shock to see that it tasted very good the rice was good the lomein was good but the wings were flavorless and definitely not the wings that were on their Buffett which looked very flavorful and good but the food was really good over all and I would definitely come back . Was very hungry and there was a large selection on the buffet. I tried small amounts of many things. Chicken was tough. Beef had no taste and barbecue ribs had been on the buffet way too long. This buffet has tons to choose from: all sorts of tasty flavored meats that I could not try since I don't eat meat but looked good, many types of rices and noodle options, dumplings, seafood choices, but I'd say the best this place has to offer is SUSHI. Out of the 20 or so dishes to choose from in the two row buffet lines, there is off to the left side a sushi buffet spot. This includes all cooked sushi, nothing raw. However, the choices are actually pretty decent. They have a couple california basic rolls and a couple fancy tempura deep-fried fancy rolls. All in all the sushi was my favorite part. On top of the cheap lunch prices of less than $7 a person, with sushi, that's a steal. And if you have room they also have good desserts too. An oreo cheesecake one and custard that were both my favorites. Usually I skip dessert at buffets but not here. Compared to the other big buffet in town, this one stacks up nicely. The pros are the sushi and dessert, but the general food is where they aren't quite exceptional and the other place excels. Loses a star for the lack of exciting regular dishes and another for the tacky and unsightly decor in desperate need of renovations. Thankfully, they do have some good things to offer. Cool deal: get a take-out box for the same price and you can jam-pack it full and take it home to split for two people. read more

I can eat Chinese food, every day, but this was the worst ever. The Lo Mein noodles had thin strips (about as thick as a slice of bologna) of ham in it. The rice noodles tasted like they had chicken bouillon or chicken broth seasoning in it, as was just as yellow. All of the beef and chicken was the same red color. Not sure what was up with that. Please take 3/4 of the star off. They only get 1/4 of a star because it was the absolute worst. Ok so maybe because we were there about an hour and a half before closing but this place is lacking so much. To my surprise there were a lot of people in the restaurant. The food was cold and they were not refilling or refreshing the items. The Mongolian part was closed. Oh but they made sure the fried chicken and mashed potatoes were full. News flash I don't go to a Chinese buffet for fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Also, they are going to make someone very sick serving those frozen, then served, frozen again and reserved CRAWFISH! The shrimp is over cooked or is in the same category as the crawfish. The only decent food item was the egg drop soup. Food is mediocre. I make good money and not that it matters but they follow me around the buffet table every time as if I cannot pay for my food. It never fails they send like 2 or 3 people to "wipe off" the table once u begin fixing your food. I've spent thousands of bucks over the years on this place but the way they treat their customers is pathetic. I went and got buffet to go yesterday. I got there at 11am when they open fresh food was my thought. It was so bad!!! The sweet and sour chicken was like bubble gum, the rice was sticky, the lo mien was salty, the spring roll was scary, the crab ragoon tasted soured, I took one bite of everything and threw it away. Totally unremarkable food. Typical for buffets, food looks OK, but lacks in taste and texture. Every single piece of "sushi" had cream cheese in it. If it was possible to give this restaurant 1/2 of a star, that is exactly what it would have gotten. This restaurant has gone straight to poo! My wife & I walked in to find that this once nice restaurant was now a buffet, but that is not the worst part. The worst part is that it is a buffet that had no food. I asked if more food was coming out, & they said that it was. They offered hibachi grill, but no cook. The person they identified as the cook also looked like he was the dishwasher, bus boy, maintence man, or whatever other role they wanted him to play. We were there for over 1/2 an hour & paid $20 for cold soup, egg rolls, & some chicken that was "Honey Chicken." Since when was honey chicken a type of Chinese food? When we checked out, the manager (that looked maybe 21, & was the same person I asked about more food) had the nerve to ask me if everything was ok, & was completely shocked when I said absolutely not! He asked why, & I basically told him what I have said here. His response was "oh". Not "I'm sorry", not "let us make it up to you", just "oh."
