Readers please note: Pej is my cousin, and a loved one whom I grew up with. I've written this review with the same open curiosity and critical eye that I aspire to bring to all my writing, and I believe I have been able to do that successfully here.
I've spent over ten years in therapy, learning to cope with a felt-sense of incongruence at varying levels (which manifested, for me, as varying levels of depression and anxiety.) When I came to Pej for a few sessions of life coaching, I was skeptical about how much more I could achieve in my personal growth, as I'm very proud of the work I've already done ...
I was wrong. Pej pushed me in ways that I hadn't been challenged, encouraging (and sometimes, forcing) me to turn-towards parts of myself that I had become very good at avoiding. Anger, confusion, and sadness were common themes during our sessions, as well as the resulting liberation, levity, and empowerment that are often the result of facing and overcoming scary, personal obstacles. Over a month later, I'm still revisiting my conversations with Pej when I journal and reflect, and am still finding new insights and wisdom therein.
Get ready to do hard work with Pej. I think he has the skills to push you to your emotional edge, and to help you realize the power and potential that can be unlocked by overcoming the challenges you encounter there. For me personally, it was critical to have supplementary spiritual and emotional support, as my sessions with Pej were intense (and equally rewarding.) I've found solace and support in my journal, and a relatively mature meditation/mindfulness practice. Everyones experience will be different of course, but I think it's fair to say that you should be ready to do serious, hard, and extremely empowering work when you come to Pej, and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in self-actualizing. read more
