I had some family jewelry that needed to be resized and have some stones replaced. So I went to a…read morelocal jeweler who was easy to find in Massena. Big mistake. They wanted to charge me $1200 to get the ring back to a usable condition so I decided to buy a new ring using the stones. I wasn't going to stay at a jeweler who was overcharging so I looked for another Jeweler I found Paquette's a few miles west of town on 37 (I know yelp gives an in town address for Paquette's but they have moved to a shop next to their home on 37, the phone number is still the same). He did such a wonderful job on the new ring purchase for half what the other jeweler was going to charge that I ask him about the repair on the original ring. Instead of $1200, they did the work for $147. It ended up being more since I could afford to use better stones since the repairs were so inexpensive. If you are anywhere in the North Country it is defiantly the place to get a quote from before you chose anywhere else. Oh, and the new ring? He doesn't have a lot of stock, but he gave me the website of his supplier, I chose from hundreds of settings, got exactly the style I wanted and I could have picked it up in a couple days. I was busy so I picked it up a week later. That was less time than it took the original jeweler to get my ring back to me when they doubled the original estimate and I ask for it back

I scheduled an appointment on November 8th asking for the 2nd week in December letting this person…read moreknow I was coming from Saranac (which is about 2 hours from her shop). She said she had Saturday the 9th I told her that wouldn't work because it was the weekend it was hectic so she said Wednesday the 6th at 11:30. I said perfect. So today I sent a message on messenger to ask for the shop address no response. I googled her shop and it gave me the address so I drove to her shop because I didn't want to be late for the appointment it was for my nieces birthday. It was pouring down rain got to her shop pitch dark. I messaged both her business page and personal page just to try and get an answer as to what was going on. I then searched for a number because there isn't one on her shop page or business window. Yelp gave me the number in Google search and I hit the call button and it rang and rang went to voicemail it was completely full. I then had to call another place to try and get my niece in and thankfully I did. This lady did apologize for miscommunication and proceeded to tell me that her shop is closed on Tuesday. She did get a piece of my mind. Then said it was nice that I could find her personal number, and not her actual shop hours. Which by the way says she is closed until 1pm on Wednesday so I guess 11:30am on Wednesday would not have worked either. Needless to say I felt like my time, my money, and gas was all a waste of time. I am including the messages, and hours that it shows. I feel she should have done better.
